I feel like the InStyler takes too long to heat up and it curl it straighten with it, it takes ages to learn how to do that properly as the barrel turns and can pull the hair away from the barrel

InStyler Rotating Hot Iron Hair Styler
It's not a brush. It's not a flat iron. It's not a curling iron. It's the InStyler® rotating hot iron!
The InStyler rotating hot iron is a totally new styling and straightening tool unlike any hair styling product ever invented!
The secret to the InStyler iron lies in its rotating heated polishing cylinder, along with four rows of precision-aligned bristles.
Here's how it works when you run the InStyler rotating hot iron through your hair, the first set of bristles gently sort and separate your hair strands. Then the rotating heated polishing cylinder gently glides over your hair, smoothly polishing, straightening, and styling each strand. Finally, the second set of bristles puts the finishing touch on your hair, leaving you with shiny, silky, hair! It's truly amazing!
And the best part is, because of the InStyler rotating hot iron's patented design, your hair won't get smashed and baked by the super-intense heat of a flat iron or other "hot" tools. In fact, the InStyler rotating hot iron uses less heat than traditional hot tools, and delivers better results. How? Because the InStyler rotating hot iron's gentle heat in conjunction with the rotating motion of the polishing cylinder literally polishes your hair strands individually so it doesn't need extreme heat to get amazing results.
Your hair will be shinier, bouncier and full of lift and life!
Plus, the InStyler rotating hot iron does so much more than any styling tool out there. Get lift and fullness – right from the root! Get a sexy flip in seconds. Straighten even the toughest, most coarse hair – and still get fullness and style without the stick-straight "flatness" of a flat iron. Do a full style in 8 minutes – and change it again in two minutes! Wrap your hair around the rotating polishing cylinder – and get an amazing curl that lasts all day!
If you can hold it, you can do it with the InStyler rotating hot iron!

I found the InStyler quite odd to use. It is quite bulky to use and you have to use it quite a few times for it to properly straighten. The bristles were great to 'brush' through my hair as I used it. However, I found that after a while the bristles all bent and weren't very fit for purpose.
I've used this product on and off for 2 years on my thick wavy hair. It's easy to use when straightening and it leaves my hair looking soft and shiny without fail. However I find that it requires too much effort to generate nice curls even after watching 'how-to' videos. It's also noisy and not ideal if you're the first person up in the morning getting ready for work. I don't recommend this product because it's faster to curl your hair using a normal straightener.
My hair is wavy. This product I suspect is good for those with frizzier/thicker type hair. I have fine and wavy and lots of hair and its very easy to straighten or curl. I found the Instyler hard to use to get the right shape even after watching instructions and it also seemed to take longer for me. Unsure as to why that was the case but yea.
The InStyler was great for one thing - making my hair super smooth and silky! It brushes at the same time, so it smoothes out your hair really well. However it is really bulky, so not good for my medium length, fine hair, bob cut. I also couldn't get it right to my roots. I managed to straighten my hair with it pretty well, but couldn't manoeuvre it to do curls or volume. I even watched youtube clips. I prefer my Cloud9 to this.
Tips: Probably good for thick long hair, not good for fine shorter length hair. Also be CAREFUL, if you accidentally touch the barrel, it is HOT!
I brought the in styler several years ago when my hair was much longer, and it worked quite well. I would curl small sections of hair around the barrel and it did quite a good job of creating ringlets. However as I have got older I now have much shorter hair and the in styler really does not work well on my short hair. The machine is too bulky to be able to get low down close to the roots and gives only a little curl to the ends.
I brought one a while back but my teenage daughter has taken ownership of it - I only used it once and didn't like it but perhaps it was just because I didn't know what to do = my daughter on the other hand loves loves loves it - she uses it every single day to do her hair (only for straightening mind you) - she has very thick hair - she has burnt her fingers a couple of times though
Tips: Be careful as they heat up very quick to a very hot temperature so you can burn yourself very quickly
i was so excited when i recived this a gift 2 years ago until i tried to curl my hair as the curls just fall out and make the same impression as coiling your hair, love the straightening though, another downside to this is it gets extremely hot i still have burn scaring :(
loved it for the volume and it gave my hair great bounce, i did what it said it would do but my hair did start to get frizzy again only after a few hours which made my hair not look that great.. i cant comment on the curling because i have wavy hair and i prefer straight so i never used it for that purpose
okay is it just me or is this hairstyling tool really noisey..??? I found that it did an average job of straighning my hair and the noise was way too distracting,
