KMS Free Shape Hot Flex Spray Review

I use this KMS heat spray every day and I love it. I have blonde hair (from a bottle) so I need products that work to keep my hair healthy and this does just that. It protects it from the heat of my GHD styler and hair dryer, it holds the style and it smells nice too. It may seem a bit pricy but a little goes and long way.

I love this product! I have been using it on a regular basis since September last Year and it has lasted me very well!

I don't actually use this for heat styling so to speak.. I find its perfect for using as a bit of a mousse to tame annoying baby hairs and fly-aways when your going for a sleek up do or sleek straight hair! I love it because it sprays in a fine strong hold mist rather then thick gluggy product!

Another love about this product is providing you work it into your hair with hands and/or brush its gentle and doesn't leave nasty build up or residue.. It washes out easily too!

Bought this after my hairdresser recommended it to me. Best styling product Ive used to hold my waves or curls, without the weird stickness, stiffness. I use it before my irons or hairdryer. Recommended it to my sister-in-law who has dead straight hair!

I had tried this when i got given this as a gift by my hairdresser aunt, and i hated it. Now my hair is longer, and i am trying it again on my much curlier and heavier hair, and I like it! My hair feels very smooth when i use it, smells delish, and makes me hair very straight. It doesnt hold the straighten for very long (my hair only holds the straighten for about 4 hours normally before going poofy and frizzy, and with this it lasts only 20 minutes) but I put it down to the crap straighteners I was using the 2nd time. In all, I like it :) I use in conjunction with a pure heat protectant to ensure my hair doesnt get fried with the crap straighteners

I was lucky to receive this product as a freebie, after a lovely lady posted the offer in the forum. It's such a generous offer from kms, a full sized product from your choice. So, off to the salon I went armed with my printed voucher.

I've used kms products in the past and found them to be great and high quality. So, I was really hoping this would become my new, holy grail hair product.

I told the salesperson at the salon I was looking for a heat protectant to spray into my hair before blow drying, which would also help keep it straight and also tame the frizzies. She recommended the KMS Free Shape Hot Flex Spray, which I happily took away for free! . The next day I was looking forward to washing my hair and then using my new product.

The packaging is stylish and funky. It's in a tall purple-pink spray bottle with a black nozzle and black/green writing. It just looks like a fun product to use!

After washing and then towel drying my hair I then spray this all over my hair. It's so handy being in a spray bottle that's for sure, it makes it easy to distribute the fine mist evenly over your hair.

The fragrance is lovely, I can't really pick exactly what it is but smells slightly of flowers. It's rather subtle, but much better than other hair product fragrances.

After blow drying my hair it looks straight and smooth, the frizzy parts are tamed. My straight hair seems to look much smoother and nicer using this product.

A plus is that the spray feels so lightweight and doesn't leave my hair feeling greasy or weighed down like with other products.

I'm really impressed with this product and once I run out I will definitely be repurchasing this. Five out of five stars!

After going to my recent hair dressing appointment, my hair dresser sold me on this product.

i have now been using it for 2 weeks and to be completely honest i don't feel like its for me It says it is humidity resistant, but on thos rainy days were my hair is prone to frizz the most, i feel it does nothing. even non rainy days my hair still goes frizzy after about an hour.

the bottle however is very sleek and funky looking, with bold and clear signage

the smell is pleasant! fresh and a slight flower smell to it.

i feel the price is a little steep but maybe thats because i didn't find the product quite as good as other people

id say the bottle would last quite awhile i have shoulder length hair and i was using two pumps per use

all in all id rate it a 4.5/10 :/

This is a fabulous product it protects and hold your hair while straightening, it is the best spray in product I have used. Having naturally wavy hair I sometimes struggle having to swipe multiple times but this seems to work first time :)

I usually adore KMS as a brand, and was delighted to see they had a hair spray that was heat activated, with good hold and the ability to move with hair, and humidity resistance - these are four of the main things I look for in a hair spray.

On the plus side, this comes in a sexy little pump in a hot berry colour with a teal and black logo. It has a degree of hold and flexibility - however not to the extent of the two supermarket brands I usually use.

The scent is unique - I don't particularly like it myself, and as it stays around on my hair after use this is an issue

The spray clogs in the nozzle - something my supermarket brands don't do - and comes our quite forcefully, meaning overapplication if you're too close to your head with the bottle when you spray. As it dries, I feel like it thickens my hair unpleasantly, and makes it harder to run my hands through it - it doesn't feel like my hair any more!

It has a tacky residue (not terribly so, but noticeable) and does not resist humidity (I live in Auckland so this has been well tested!) particularly well.

The hold is average and the movement with hair is evident but not impressive. On the whole, KMS are a fabulous brand who need to modify this product a little if it is to work the way they claim..

I purchased the KMS Free Shape Hot Flex Spray in a desperate attempt to try and rescue and prevent any further damage to my frizzy/split-ended/heat damaged hair. I straighten my hair atleast daily (due to the frizz/damage) to keep my hair looking tidy. Unfortunatey this product promises so much, but unfortunately just didnt deliver for me :( I have officially finished the product so i did give it a decent go, however my hair is definitely not looking any better-off for it, and given this products $34.00 price tag, i wont be repurchasing.

It didnt stop further damage, I didnt get that feeling that my hair was getting "a treatment" when spraying this through my hair, and it generally just didnt feel that great in my hair; it actually is quite an oily product and i found it left my hair limp and needing to be washed more regularly. It also felt quite sticky on the hands. No noticeable results.

Sorry KMS, all your other products are great, this one just missed the mark for me!

I purchased this as I was looking for a heat protector spray. It comes in a slimline bottle of a medium to large size. It has an easy to spray nozzle, which is great if you don't like to use serums etc. the product has an odd thick texture to it and makes my hair really hair to curl/straighten, the product itself has a sticky type texture which makes my hair dark (i'm a dyed red head) the scent also intensifies when heat is applied which I did not like, it's slightly chemically with a touch of perfume, it's an odd scent.

it didn't hold my curls either and I wasn't impressed with the texture it left in my hair.
