L'Oréal Paris® Botanicals Lavender Soothing Therapy Conditioner Review

I had such high hopes! I was hoping for lush hair that felt hydrated and gorgeous. Instead, this conditioner turned me into a greasepot. I don't normally have overly greasy hair (I wash my hair once a week) but just 24hrs after this conditioner, I was having to wash again. And again the next day. And the next. I used it only on my ends but saw no noticeable difference, although my hair was easier to brush. It's a shame that it made me oily, i really wanted to see some nice soothing action on my scalp.

Unlike the shampoo, the conditioner is a subtle scent. Maybe to counterpoint the intense shampoo? It's thick consistency and pretty scent had me hoping for much, much more.

I bought this along with the shampoo, after seeing it on Beauty Review. I love lavender, so I had to give it a go!

My hair is coloured so its a bit dry, and the ends could definitely do with a trim. So conditioner is super-important to my hair care regime.

This is actually a conditioning balm, which I think basically means its just a bit thicker than your average conditioner. I used more than I did the shampoo, probably 2 x 50c size amounts. I used this through the midlengths and focused it on the ends of my hair. I left it on for a few minutes before rinsing.

It rinsed easily out of my thick hair - which can be an issue with conditioners. My hair felt super-soft right away, and after I'd dried my hair, I felt really happy with how shiny it was and how healthy it felt. It was a bit fluffy mind!

My hair smells amazing, the lavender scent lasts allllllll day!

My only bugbears with this product are its size and the tube. It would be much better if this were in a pump like the shampoo, and it'd be much, much better if it were the same size as the shampoo! 200ml instead of 400ml - and I'm using twice the amount as the shampoo, meaning I'm going to have to re-buy the conditioner to keep up with the shampoo. (because seriously...who uses uncoordinating shampoos and conditioners?!)

I love this conditioner. Even without the shampoo counterpart I'd buy this over and over again. It's a 200ml bottle of awesome lavender relaxation goodness and well. Yeah. What else can I say!?

I love that this is a flip top lid, it's so easy to open and close. Inside is the gloriously thick conditioner, even going as far to say balm on the tube. When I think of balm I do think thick, which this is, but I also think waxy, which this is not.

You don't need a lot of this conditioner, as it seems to spread the more you move it around. It smells so good and makes me feel so relaxed, I don't even notice I'm not using a heap. I don't know why people are complaining about the sizing, I think its the perfect compliment to the big bottle.

The conditioner leaves my hair feeling soft and hydrated, and smelling oh so glorious. It's a very faint floral smell but it's definitely there. I feel because of this being named a balm, it does in fact help control some of the extra frizz that happens. Whatever the sorcery is, I'll be repurchasing.

As I mentioned in the review for the Duo of the Shampoo and the Conditioner, this Conditioner is my new love in life. After 6mths of trying new conditioners, this arrived on my doorstep the day my daughter and I got home from the hospital and its blown me away. My scalp is calm and my hair is so shiny! I can't wait to buy this in the future, it's definitely worth its price and I highly recommend it! My hair is so much more healthy and I come out of the shower not only feeling like my hair has had a treat but also I feel so chilled.

Ive seen this on the supermarket shelves and finally got to give it a go.

Firstly, the packing is beautiful, I love a simple style. However wish the conditioner had a pump like the shampoo.

The lavender scent is a bit more subtle in the conditioner compared to the shampoo.

A little goes a long way. The conditioner is a thick creamy consistency, which you would assume to be very hydrating, and it is, a little TOO much. I washed it at night woke up in the morning, my hair was VERY greasy. I had to rewash my hair. Usually i can go 3 days before needing to rewash.

For this reason I most likely wouldn't repurchase.

I generally liked this conditioner especially it's very lovely and calming lavender fragrance which I could smell after a day. It's natural and toxic free so was great for me as I am pregnant now and don't need additional toxins. Has nice creamy texture and rinses well. But the only thing I don't like is I have to use so much more to cover my hair than I usually do with my other conditioners. But it might be because I have thick hair. My husband tried it and was much more happier with the result. He has sensitive scalp and told he didn't feel any irritation and it was easy for him to use. So I suppose it might be more suitable for people with short hair. After using it is much easier for me to brush my hair and I always have a problem with brushing. And I can say my hair is definitely softer and shiny. It is definitely worth to try especially if you are aromatherapy lover. With this conditioner having a shower feels like having a mini spa session.

This conditioner has a nice consistency, and feels very mask like, which gave me high hopes that it would nourish my hair. It has kept my hair nice and nourished but unfortunately not as well as my normal product. My hair didn't look as shiny as it normally does, although it does look moisturised. I did like the thick texture because it felt like I was wearing a nice mask on hair.

I can't say I am a fan of the smell of this product, it didn't smell enough like lavender to me, and just smelled herbal/botanical type smell rather than straight lavender which I was hoping/expecting.

It is pretty packaging, and it looks as though it is full of natural ingredients, which gave me the hope that it wouldn't irritate my scalp. It didn't irritate my scalp any more than normal, but it certainly didn't make it any better. I was hoping for a similar effect to head and shoulders where I have little to no scalp irritation.

I really liked the consistency of the conditioner, it was thick and creamy and found it spread through my hair easily. The cap on the bottle (flip top) was a bit fidgety, might get better with time. The smell is not quite what I would except but still pleasant. I left it in for about 2 minutes before rinsing and when I brushed it out it was mostly tangle free. I leave my hair to dry naturally and loved the way it sat after using this. I have been searching for a new shampoo and conditioner and do like this one, my scalp feels heaps better after just one week. Pricewise it is on the high side but I like the fact its organic product and it is cheaper than the ones from the hairdresser. Will definitely be buying this again until i find that magical one where your hair just feels amazing every day
