I'm always on the lookout for a good conditioner and I generally like L'Oreal products so I had high hopes for this one. But I couldn't find anything right with it. Firstly, I really struggled to open it - the plastic was sharp and dug into my thumbs and it took a good couple of minutes before I finally got it open. Then, it had a strong smell that's almost exactly like the purple Dettol cleaning product I use. And then, it didn't seem to do a very good job of conditioning my hair, which is its primary purpose! My hair was left frizzier than normal. I definitely won't be paying $18 for something that doesn't do the job... sorry L'Oreal!

This conditioner has a nice consistency, and feels very mask like, which gave me high hopes that it would nourish my hair. It has kept my hair nice and nourished but unfortunately not as well as my normal product. My hair didn't look as shiny as it normally does, although it does look moisturised. I did like the thick texture because it felt like I was wearing a nice mask on hair.
I can't say I am a fan of the smell of this product, it didn't smell enough like lavender to me, and just smelled herbal/botanical type smell rather than straight lavender which I was hoping/expecting.
It is pretty packaging, and it looks as though it is full of natural ingredients, which gave me the hope that it wouldn't irritate my scalp. It didn't irritate my scalp any more than normal, but it certainly didn't make it any better. I was hoping for a similar effect to head and shoulders where I have little to no scalp irritation.
Tips: Make sure you focus on the ends if you have dried/damaged hair, because this will help, similar to a mask.
As with the shampoo i like the branding and its looks nice in the bathroom. The tube is a good way to package as you can get every last drop out. I do think that the price is quite high when you are only getting 200ml and its quite annoying that that is half the quantity of the shampoo (400ml) so you will end up spending out regularly on the more expensive of the two. I have fine hair that is coloured so can get very dry in the winter months. I had some high expectations that this would be a great natural solution. The smell is very masculine (reiterated by my partner). The consistency is good. and it also washes away cleanly. My hair was easy to comb afterwards and my hair was soft. I found it strange that the shampoo bottle was made from 100% recycled materials but the conditioned didn't say the same. You would assume consistency. I personally wouldn't use again because of the fragrance but would be happy for my partner or guests to use it.
Tips: Give it to the guys and say its unisex!
Ive seen this on the supermarket shelves and finally got to give it a go.
Firstly, the packing is beautiful, I love a simple style. However wish the conditioner had a pump like the shampoo.
The lavender scent is a bit more subtle in the conditioner compared to the shampoo.
A little goes a long way. The conditioner is a thick creamy consistency, which you would assume to be very hydrating, and it is, a little TOO much. I washed it at night woke up in the morning, my hair was VERY greasy. I had to rewash my hair. Usually i can go 3 days before needing to rewash.
For this reason I most likely wouldn't repurchase.
Tips: Little goes a long way, use way less than other conditioners.
When I was younger I wasn't a fan of lavender but it has grown on my and thought this smelt great. I would have liked it to be packaged in a pump bottle like the shampoo is. Formula is a thick deep conditioner but slightly too heavy for my hair and left it a bit dull
I won this and the shampoo not long ago. I have been using both, despite it not being designed for my hair type (crazy frizzy, thick and dry) it has managed to tame the frizz significantly. The smell. My god, the smell is devine. Not sickly sweet lavender, a nice subtle scent that lasts all day. I havent needed to use much conditioner, despite the amount of hair that I have and that it is halfway down my back. A little goes a long way! I have had SO many compliments about how shiny and healthy my hair has been looking since using this lavender goodness. A wee bit pricey for supermarket conditioner, but I'm happy to pay a bit more when the product is full of good stuff and no parabens, and the vegan tick is a winner! I straighten my hair everyday and it hasnt been feeling as dry as it usually does. I reccommend applying it, and then leaving it in for as long as possible for the best results, the longer the better (I left it in my daughters hair overnight as an 8 hour treatment, and her hair was more beautiful than Rapunzels in the morning!) Safe to say this is a permanent fixture in our bathroom from now on - Thanks Beauty Review x
This conditioner is so thick and creamy it feels more like a hair mask than a conditioner. It coats the hair really well however I did have to use more than I normally would. After leaving the conditioner in for a couple of minutes before washing out I was really impressed with its detangling properties. All the knots and tangles of my curly hair came out straight away. I did find that I had to make sure to really wash the product out well otherwise my hair became a lot oilier than usual. It would be pretty good if you have very dry hair though or it may be better to alternate usage of this conditioner with another lighter one.
My scalp is often irritated however I had no problems with this product and it actually helped moisturise some sensitive dry patches I had.
The smell is very pleasant if you are a fan of lavender. It is subtle enough that it soothes and relaxes you without being too intense. It leaves a nice scent in your hair, again without being too powerful.
The bottles itself is very pretty but I didn't like the cap. I found it very hard to open, to the point that I had to use two hands.
Overall it's a nice conditioner and I will use it until it's finished but may alternate with another lighter conditioner so my hair doesn't get so greasy.
Tips: Apply and leave for approximately 2 mins for great detangling, then rinse out very well.
A small amount is all you need to leave your hair feeling smooth soft and shiny.
Great packaging and like that it’s recyclable - trying to cut down my plastics so it at least being recyclable is good.
Normally not a huge fan of lavender but this isn’t overpowering so that’s good and I like it. Easy to use bottle and not full of nastys.
Tips: Only a small amount is needed and do try to use it with the shampoo - they make a good pair!
Similar to the shampoo, I liked that it was formulated for sensitive hair and that it contained no sulphates, parabens and silicon. The texture was similar to other conditioners. It definitely hydrated the ends of my hair - I have quite long hair, and my friend commented on how the ends are still hydrated and nourished. For me this is what matters in a conditioner. I'm happy to use this again, but for the price (17.99) I think I have plenty of different options to try before I come back to this one!
I had such high hopes! I was hoping for lush hair that felt hydrated and gorgeous. Instead, this conditioner turned me into a greasepot. I don't normally have overly greasy hair (I wash my hair once a week) but just 24hrs after this conditioner, I was having to wash again. And again the next day. And the next. I used it only on my ends but saw no noticeable difference, although my hair was easier to brush. It's a shame that it made me oily, i really wanted to see some nice soothing action on my scalp.
Unlike the shampoo, the conditioner is a subtle scent. Maybe to counterpoint the intense shampoo? It's thick consistency and pretty scent had me hoping for much, much more.
Tips: Perfect for the ends of your hair.
