Both the shampoo and conditioner had an unfortunate similarity in smell to the purple Dettol disinfectant cleaner that I use, so that is enough to put me off using them again. But even if I liked the smell, I didn't find the product did what it advertised. My hair didn't feel hydrated, in fact it was frizzier than normal. The conditioner bottle was also hard to open.

I had high hopes for the regime, and was expecting my scalp sensitivity to reduce, but it did not out perform any other products I already use. It was on par with other products that aren't aimed at sensitive scalps.
I liked the packaging, however, the difference in the bottles sizes was very annoying. I use more conditioner than shampoo and so I will likely finish the conditioner way before the shampoo, which is frustrating as they are part of a regime.
I have thick, wavy hair, and this regime gave me serious volume and looked borderline oily, not on the roots but on the hair overall. I definitely do not need extra volume, so I ended up looking crazy.
I was hoping that the smell would be more true to lavender, but I found it to have a miscellaneous type smell.
Overall, I was disappointed with this regime, as I expected more. I did get my friend to try this too, and she mentioned that it didn't make her scalp condition (psoriasis) any worse, so I think this is quite good. It did not wow me, nor do anything I don't already have from other products, so I am saying it's okay, but definitely not one I will look at buying.
Tips: If you have hair that needs volume, then give this a go.
The scent was amazing and lasted on my hair after drying and styling.
I much preferred the shampoo over the conditioner. The shampoo has none of the sulphates etc that make hair go frizzy and dry so really helped define my curls. However I have bleached hair ( balayage) and the shampoo turned it an odd colour after first wash, so needed to use purple shampoo more frequently.
The conditioner is VERY hydrating, also too much. My hair was very greasy as soon as it dried. So a little goes a long way and i didn't even use much.
I persoanlly wouldn't repurchase but my mum is loving it and it is working wonders on her hair.
Tips: Woudnt recommend for bleached hair. A little goes a LONG way
For starters, love the packaging. It’s a bit of a new look for L’Oréal, and I like it. It’s plastic and I’m trying to reduce the amount of plastic I’m using for beauty products but love that it’s recyclable. Another plus is the lack of nastys in it, sulphate free etc. I think it’s becoming a must for products to have less nastys and more natural stuff.
Onto the products, they’re a good combo. I only wash my hair once or twice a week because otherwise my scalp freaks out, so two weeks to trial was a little tricky for me - need a bit more time to really give it a go.
Not usually a big fan of lavender but it’s super subtle in these products so didn’t bother me.
Was good on my scalp which is super sensitive, and it left my hair shiny and soft. So far so good.
Tips: Leave it on for the amount of time it says. I’m always tempted to wash it out too soon but just let it do it’s thibg
Overall this regime was good. The shampoo & conditioner both did what they should without irritating my sensitive scalp. What I liked most about this range was the sizes - 400ml for the shampoo & 200ml for the conditioner. I normally use more shampoo than conditioner at a time so I really liked that this set took that into consideration! I felt good about both products not containing any harmful ingredients. The shampoo cleaned my hair nicely and the conditioner really hydrated the ends. One thing I thought was less than expected was the smell. I was expecting a sweet, smoothing lavender smell but it was quite raw(?), quite different to what I thought. In conclusion I think it is a nice set to use, but for the pricing there may be a lot of different options that may be similar or even better.
I love the packaging is beautiful and looks so sleek and lovely in the shower. However, the shampoo comes in a 400mL size conditioner in 200mL which is a little inconvenient. I found a little bit of shampoo went a long way and you need a little more of the conditioner as it is very thick. I think in the long term you would go through the conditioner way faster and need to purchase more often due it only being half the size.
I love the whole organic and more natural idea behind the product. It has no sulfates, parabens, silicones or colourants which is really nice. Also a plus that it is vegan. I also noticed the bottle stated it was made from 100% recycled materials.
I enjoyed the smell- it’s a mixture of lavender and coconut. If you didn’t like lavender you probably wouldn’t like it as much especially because the smell definitely does linge in your hair even after it has dried. . It could be used as a multi-sex product as well because it does have a slight masculine scent. I really did like the smell and found it really calming and relaxing to use.
The shampoo and conditioner work really well together. I found my hair felt very clean and almost slight stripped after using the shampoo. It was very knotty but using the conditioner afterwards puts back all the moisture and detangles. Would reccomend that the products be used together!! The regimen when used together made my hair feel very hydrated and smooth!! I loved the way it felt after using it but noticed it probably didn’t look as shiny as usual.
Overall I loved the concept behind it and the smell. I found my hair felt very hydrated and smooth after using it. Major fault is the conditioner only being half the size of the shampoo.
Tips: Use the shampoo and conditioner together for best results.
My favourite thing about this regime is the smell of the two products. The lavender scent is lovely, not too overpowering but a perfect amount to be calming and relaxing. It almost feels like being at the spa, especially in a hot shower. I was so relaxed and sleepy after a hot shower and these products. The shampoo is of typical consistency. I think it cleaned the hair well but didn’t strip it, didn’t get that squeaky hair feeling when it’s almost too clean. 1-2 pumps all I needed for my just below shoulder length hair, so it should last a decent time. It nicely soothed the scalp with a slight cooling feel. The conditioner is super thick and creamy, more like a mask than a conditioner. I needed a good 50c sized blob to coat my hair, with this being smaller volume than the shampoo it wouldn’t last as long, would be nice if it was the same size. I also found I had to be careful to really wash it out otherwise my hair became greasy faster than normal. But weirdly enough with that thick conditioner once my hair was dry it did seem to be a bit frizzier than normal. Making me think this regime is not entirely suited to curly/wavy hair types. I think it is good for sensitive scalps though, as I have quite a dry scalp and found an improvement pretty much straight after the first use of this product. Not only did it not cause any irritation I think it helped soothe my scalp too. The packaging is really nice, the graphics are beautiful making the product feel pretty luxurious. The shampoo is in a pump bottle which is so handy, I love it. However the conditioner is smaller in volume and in a tube with a very hard to open cap, would be nice if it was a pump bottle too. Extra bonus is the recyclability of the bottles. Overall I did like this combo I think it’s nice that it doesn’t feel like it’s totally stripping your hair but is leaving it feel clean and moisturised.
Tips: Make sure to wash out the conditioner well. And to feel like you’re at the spa use in a hot shower before bed, really massage the products in soothe and relax your scalp.
FIrstly I'd like to mention that I am a regular user of natural non-supermarket paraben/SLS free shampoo/conditioner so I'm benchmarking this regime against it. Overall I'd like to say it is a very good product in terms of replicating mainstream shampoo and conditioner expectations. I really enjoyed using these products though I do try and find products which do not contain SLS/SLES (sodium lauryl sulfate/sodiim laureth sulfate). Performance wise it works, the price is great for this level of quality, my hair is glossy and hasn't changed at all (which is a good thing as it's in quite good condition). My only gripe is the power of the smell, it isn't a lavender smell I know, more medicinal and masculine. It's fine after it dries but I thought the intensity of the perfume made it feel less natural for some reason. Overall I think if you are wanting to switch from an high-end supermarket shampoo and want to try something natural then the L'Oreal Paris Botanicals range is a good product to try.
Tips: Perfect for men to try as the fragrance is not at all what I would describe as feminine.
I was looking for a really good conditioner for very fine and straight hair, so far so good. It has a nice creamy consistency but maybe need to use abit more than I normally would. It has a nice fragrance nice and subtle and not too overpowering. It’s a similar price to what I pay for other conditioners so it’s worth the money, although you do use abit more so it maybe slightly more expensive? I love the packaging it’s very appealing. I found it did what it said and my hair has been soft and shiny and it cleanses very well. I’d definitely use this again and would recommend this to my friends
While I had high hopes, these products are not for me. The smell was too overpowering - both in the shower and afterwards on my hair. It made my hair an oil slick instead of hydrating it (and yes, it does need hydrating and is delicate). Beautiful packaging but sadly, not the formula for me.
Tips: Intense smell - ensure you love lavender!
