I really love the L’Oréal elvive range, especially this coconut one. It smells so good and I love the texture of it. My hair feels nourished and shiny after using this, I always re purchase this product along with the original L’Oréal Elvive shampoo and conditioner. I also use this on my daughter and she has beautiful curly hair, so this product works for all different types of hair types

A nice rich creamy conditioner. Really worked well and made my hair feel soft and bouncy . Again i I found the scent a little over powering ,after using all the products the coconut fragrance was all I could smell ,I’d prefer it toned down a bit . This product did deliver and certainly conditioned my hair well . It didn’t weigh it down as promised But I do have fine hair so was lacking in body for me hence my rating . The main difference was my dry hair ,didn’t look frizzy and dry ,looked healthy and nourished ,so was quite impressed with the product .I would recommend to others ,especially if you have thicker hair ,it would work very well .
Tips: Just put on the ends of your hair and comb through
One thing I hate about conditioners is products that leave my hair feeling heavy and greasy. When we wash our hair we want it to feel CLEAN right? This conditioner didn't leave my hair feeling weighed down and was incredibly nourishing. I usually try and leave my conditioner on for 5-10 minutes but I rinsed this conditioner out a minute after applying it to the ends of my hair and it still left my hair feeling nourished.
Tips: Only apply it to the ends of your hair - you can use the hair mask from the same range throughout all your hair before you wash your hair.
After trying the L’oreal Elvive Extraodrdinary Oil shampoo first, I couldn’t wait to try the matching conditioner. It is for normal to dry hair which is great as my hair is dry.
I’m a big consumer of conditioners and am always looking for good ones. I generally like L’Oreal.
The product comes in the same plastic bottle as the shampoo, with a pop top, and is easy to use in the shower. It is a thick white lotion with the same fabulous smells-like-coconut-but-is-a hair -product scent as the shampoo. Yummmm. The product claim is the same as the shampoo – a weightless nutrition conditioner which is a perfect dose of nutrition for free flowing hair and infinite softness. I haven’t been using large amounts each time, which I usually do with conditioner, but a lesser amount works very well. My hair feels hydrated and soft without being heavy or greasy. So it meets the claim of softness and weightlessness.
At $7.99 it’s a great price for a very good product. I would certainly purchase it again.
Tips: Use with the matching shampoo and the mask and oil, for great results.
The Loreal extraordinary conditioner was quite nice to use and left my hair feeling not too bad, here is why:
The extraordinary conditioner comes in a relatively large 325mL plastic opaque orange bottle with the same fresh and captivating label design of the Loreal extraordinary range. The lid, like most conditioner bottles, is a flip open and easy to use whilst in the shower. The consistency is relatively thick and like a creamy moisturiser. The fragrance, like the other Loreal extraordinary products, is the same lovely sweet coconut scent which is really refreshing, especially in the early morning.
Application of the conditioner is quick and easy with the flip-open lid. Be careful that the conditioner doesn't slide off your hair and end up going down the drain as the consistency means it stays quite well together until applied through the hair.
My hair can be very knotty, frizzy and sometimes quite dry. This conditioner tames my crazy mane and basically removes any knots during the wash. I found, the more I rinsed the conditioner out, the less soft my hair felt. It appeared the luxurious feel of the conditioner didn't last long.
Personally, I wash my hair about 4-5 times per week, always including conditioner. At $7.99 per 325mL bottle, this is more than what I would generally pay for a conditioner, and as it lacked the 'wow' factor, I probably wouldn't continue to buy this for my routine hair care. I would expect the conditioner to last about 1 month. Compared to other conditioners, I would say this is middle to the upper price range.
Overall, I was not blown away by how the Loreal extraordinary conditioner made my hair feel, it was no better than more affordable brands and is more expensive. For this reason, I would not purchase this product again.
Would I recommend this? Probably not when there are more affordable options that leave your hair feeling nicer during the wash than this conditioner.
If you're expecting a miracle for dry hair, this conditioner is probably one of the closest things to do that for you. I would never had considered a conditioner to be 'lightweight' but this one truly lives up to it's description. It's creamy, but not too thick and was easy to apply. I could feel within seconds of applying that my hair was just soaking it in. It smelt amazing, and really just transformed my hair. I can not believe how soft and healthy my hair feels now.
This thick and creamy conditioner left my hair feeling very soft and light after use. It has a fabulous long lasting fragrance that I can still smell in my hair the next day, however in saying that, If you had a nose very sensitive to strong perfumes, then this may not be the product for you. My hair is left shiny after using this conditioner in addition with the extraordinary oil coconut shampoo
Tips: A little goes a long way
This is definitely the conditioner to use in conjunction with the Extraordinary Oil Coconut Shampoo to get a good dose of nourishment and softness - they pair nicely. I have fine hair, so a heavy conditioner doesn't work for my hair at all. I'm left looking flat and oily - not soft and shiny!
Using this conditioner after shampooing, I was really happy to find my hair feels soft, silky and after styling quite light and bouncy. That's a tick for the 'weightless and soft' claims!
The scent of the conditioner is maybe slightly stronger than the shampoo – but a very pleasant coconut scent. Not over powering at all
The conditioner itself is quite a thick consistency, that coats your hair nicely. I used a blob maybe the size of a marshmallow, and even then I was probably more generous than I needed to be. Being on the thicker side for a conditioner, and feeling the shampoo had done a nice job smoothing my hair, I concentrated on my ends mostly with the conditioner. I left it on a couple of minutes, and rinsed. It rinses quickly and easily. There was no oily residue left after rinsing and my hair felt smooth, and tangle free, even after towel drying my hair. Very easy to brush afterwards On its own, after styling it definitely delivered on the softness promise. My hair felt lovely. I hoped for a little more shine courtesy of the coconut oil component but I knew I had other products in the regime to help this along.
I was particularly impressed that such a thick conditioner rinsed well and left me with really soft, light hair. It definitely didn't weigh down my hair at all. The scent I didn't find lingered - but that was fine by me
Not a WOW but definitely a winner for nourishing and softness in the Elvive range.
My hair is short, fine, limp and dry. I wash my hair at least 3 times a week as I swim in chlorine and this definitely adds to the dryness and frizziness. As with the shampoo I found the bottle large 325mls and used around a pea sized amount so felt it was value for money I washed my hair and then added conditioner and rinsed. I found the consistency to be like liquid honey. The condition did not leave a heavy greasy feel rather I had clean, soft and detangled hair.
Tips: As with the shampoo only used a small amount on the ends of your hair. I did finding leaving it in for 2-3 minutes had a better effect then rinising out straight away
Purchased this on sale at my local new world a few weeks ago for $3.99 which is reasonable considering the size. I used to use this religiously a while ago but they've since changed formula and this is my first time with the new formula. I have wavy hair that's been through the wars with bleach and colour so very damaged, so I need a conditioner that really hydrates. I loved the easy upside down packaging, it made it easy to get product out, I did notice the new formula doesn't feel as greasy or like it has as much 'slip' when applying if that makes sense so I found myself applying more to compensate. I found though after a few uses I don't actually need to use heaps of product, it may feel like it's not enough product but after I rinse and dry my hair it's soft, smooth and no frizz in sight. I'd repurchase this if it was on sale.
Tips: Less is more.
