I have naturally curly but now keratin-straightened hair and am always on the lookout for new, preferable affordable hair oils. I do usually really enjoy L'Oreal's products but this one, for me, didn't leave my hair feeling soft or nourished as it claimed it would. While it did smell lovely and not too strong, I stopped using it after a couple attempts and switched back to my normal argan oil.

The name of the product is Extraordinary Oil, so you would expect this to be pretty extraordinary right? Unfortunately it does not live up to its name.
The oil is quite thick but definitely workable. It doesn't really maintain baby hairs an fly away's for very long but it does smell amazing which is why I keep this handy.
I apply it after straightening my hair and it helps kinda smooth it out a bit but unfortunately not for long.
It doesn't make my hair feel weighed down which is great.
Like I said I'd be expecting extraordinary things with this but not so much
I really wanted to love this product, as I think it smells so good! However, I wanted it to help tame my greys, as they are a different texture to the rest of my hair, and have a tendancy to stick straight up. Now that Ive ditched the dye, I am trying to find something that will help keep them a bit more relaxed.... while this did to stat with, the greys popped right back up again, and I was left with a bit much oil near my roots and my hair was a bit limp. It smelled good though!!
Unfortunately not what I was looking for in this case, but I have kept it to give my ends some love before drying my hair, and it works alot better for that.
The product is readily available in supermarkets and pharmacies, which is convenient. Packaging is simple but effective. The blend of oils is very fine and a slight but pleasant fragrance. It is easy to apply and does not leave a sticky residue and leaves the hair feeling really soft. As my hair is extremely dry I found this to be one of the most effective products on the market. I apply when hair is damp after washing, and reapply in the mornings to dry hair and am happy with the results of both. Highly recommended for dry hair. Huge difference in price from store to store (as much as $6.00) so shop around before purchasing.
Tips: Apply to damp hair for slightly better results.
This oils works wonders and is so affordable. It is best applied to damp hair! This product is perfect if you have dry hair and works better than some of the more expensive products. I usually apply to damp hair and leave in overnight, in the morning you will notice a significant difference. The product smells really nice but not too heavy
Tips: Apply a generous amount to the tip of your hair.
I’m always on the look out for hair oil as I straighten my hair from time to time . I normally buy my l’oreal hair products from the supermarket as I’m working there it’s easier for me to access on a daily basis .
Packaging is nothing special . Consistency is a thick rich oil with a beautiful floral scent . Application easy to comb through my thick hair . Does settle into my hair for a good hour . After that my hair is thick and fly aways come back . I’m yet to find an oil that will last me past an hour .
Overall my results were disappointing. I didn’t notice my hair feeling softened . It just had a damp feeling . Price wise it’s far too high . I think $10 would be a fair price . Can’t see myself buying this again.
