L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Total Repair 5 Restoring Shampoo

Received Elivive Shampoo loved the shape of the bottle having the same shape,sat well on shower floor without falling over, loved the smell. When washing with shampoo found that I didn't need as much as my usual brand which is awesome, found my hair feeling smoother, looking shinier easy to brush even first thing in the morning. Also found my hair looking clearer for much long between washes,which makes this product good value for money so I now will be changing my brand cheers BR

Having lightened my hair I have definitely noticed considerable dryness, so I was pretty excited to get my hands on this shampoo in the hope that it wouldn't dry my hair out like others do. After a single wash I my hair looked shiny, smelt great and felt really clean. The formula is light and doesn't leave any residue which is great. Having used it consistently for about a week and a half it definitely doesn't dry my hair out further, however I'm not 100% sure it actually 'repairs' anything. It cleans well and creates great shine, but I still have quite dry hair. The only problem is that the bottles are way too small! Wouldn't last me long at all, but worth the purchase even just for the delicious smell!

I have been blessed to be able to receive this trial as I have been quite concerned about the state of my hair. My hair was quite dry and dead from multiple dying and bleaching. No matter how many products I had tried on my hair, I could not find a product that could repair the damage. With my student budget I was not willing to pay a lot of money to repair my hair as I thought it would grow out. Unfortunately that did not happen. Upon receiving my trial product I found that the packaging gave a good amount of information to consumers who are looking at using the Loreal Elvive range. The instructions were fairly straight forward and details were labelled clearly if any concerns needed to be followed up with Loreal. The actual bottle containing contents was appealing to me as it is simple to hold and open while in the shower. My only concern I had with the packaging was the lid as I often drop my shampoo in the shower but no matter how many times I dropped it the lid did not crack. I like how the bottle easily dispenses the product through a hole at the top. It is fairly straight forward shampoo packaging. The actual product itself smelt amazing! I personally don't like strong smells and shampoos that smell like they will strip my hair. The smell is almost like a fruity smell which leaves a subtle smell after washing out. I found that the product was almost like a creamy cashmere like texture that wasn't harsh on my hair but also not too heavy leaving my hair feeling weighed down. The product does foam up when using but I often found that it is easy to disperse in my thick hair without my fingers getting tangled. After using this product for over two weeks now I am happy to say it definitely lives up to its claims! My hair feels so much more stronger and healthier. It is also a lot easier to style. Along with using this product I took a hair supplement and multi vitamin and also spent more time massaging my scalp in the shower rather than lathering my hair and rinsing. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a salon substitute for excellent value.

This shampoo definitely made my hair feel smooth and silky and I really liked the smell of the shampoo. I think you have to take into consideration the price range of the shampoo and when doing this I would recommend this shampoo. I'm not sure that after the trial period my hair was stronger but it definitely didn't damage my hair further and my hair was silkier to to touch.

Both my daughter and I tried this. We both have long hair though mine is colour treated. The bottles easy to use with flappable tabs on lids. Only a small amount needed even with our hair length. Positives - our hair feels softer, silkier and less frizzy. We both find after two/three days hair looks limp and greasy. Not anymore! hair still had volume and bounce and the frequency of washing was reduced. Our hair does feel better and easier to manage and maintain. Negative- Only one the conditioner does not detangle. I like to comb through conditioner in the shower and it was very hard. Hair stayed matted and knotty. Would I buy and use again? Yes I would

This shampoo is really good I find it cleanses my hair really well without stripping all of my oils bit leaves it feeling really clean, soft and silky (when used with the conditioner after). It left my hair looking much smoother and shinier after first use and smelling great so I would recommend to others!

My hair on your average day is dry at the bottom, oily at the roots and if not straightened - frizz central, I have fine hair but lots of it, it is a little damaged on the ends due to highlighting over the years but overall in pretty good condition.

I really enjoyed this shampoo, I found the formulation and scent to be very pleasant. Upon application I found it to lather up well and it also rinsed out pretty well without leaving my hair feel dry and begging for conditioner. I always double wash and this product was great even on the second round when it usually feels like straw!

I must admit that I did not use this product without the conditioner so I can't comment on the results of this based on its use alone. I never use a shampoo without a conditioner so I didn't see the point in starting now. I think that shampoo and conditioners are meant to be used together so I trialled the product as I would on an every day basis.

I enjoyed the design of the bottle as it has a large lid so you can flip the bottle and store upside down, I always have problems with my shampoo bottles falling over in the shower and sometimes wasting products so big tick here from me!

Would I repurchase? Yes, if it was on special at the supermarket I would definitely repurchase but I was not blown away enough to repurchase on an on-going basis.

For me i saw results in 3 out of the 5 categories, my hair was definitely fuller, it felt stronger with less hair fall after shampooing and it was silkier than usual after shampooing.

I tried. At face value, this ticked all the boxes, but I just couldn't make our relationship last. At first it was great! It was silky and slick feeling on my hair- no shampoo had made me feel this way before. What was this? My hair felt gorgeously soft and detangled WHILE I was shampooing! This is new, this is exciting, is it... Love? No. No it wasn't. It was a passionate but brief affair, that left my hair dull, limp,frizzy and STUPIDLY difficult to style. I wanted this shampoo to show me the error of my ways, that I had been a sulphate free, anti supermarket shampoo brigade snob for too long, but this just wasn't the one for me. I have naturally oily hair that is prone to frizz, and the dehydrating properties of the foaming agents just disagree with me and do bad things to my scalp and hair. It turns my scalp very oily, and the stand as themselves became brittle and frizzy while using this (i also found the conditioner totally useless on my attempt the remedy my "situation", but that's another story for another review!). I've switched back to my other shampoo and gave been using intensive masks to try and calm it back down, but it's much frizzier, and just doesn't look or feel as good. That makes me a sad panda.
