I tend to shy away from styling hair products particularly because there's the risk they'll leave residue in my dandruff prone hair! I've never been a huge fan of hair spray because of the white dry specks it leaves behind however that all changed when my aunty introduced me to LÓreal's Elnett range.
I've tried different strengths but my preference for any hair spray will always be normal or the least strongest hold possible. I want my hair to still move and look naturally healthy not stiff with the ability to use it as a weapon and this product allows me to do that. I buy mine from Countdown for less than $NZ15.00.
This hair spray is all sorts of magic to my thick wavy hair. The scent is thick and strong but it's no different to hairsprays I've used in the past. It doesn't come out in a thick gush which is great but be sure to hold it a good distance away to get good coverage. It creates enough hold to keep your curls but still allows it to drop slightly so that they look naturally wavy. I love that I can brush it out without it leaving behind too much noticeable residue.
This is the best hairspray I have ever used. You can pick it up at any supermarket for under $10 and a bottle will last you a long time.
I have a lot of broken hairs at the top of my head due to a bad hair straightener and while I'm growing them out I need a couple spritzes of hairspray to tame them. This works wonders as it tames the hair but you can't feel or see any stiffness - looks very natural and holds the hair in place. It's also great to hold updos in place and, however you use it, it will last the whole day even in windy weather or humid weather.
Beware - the scent of this is STRONG and will remind you of your Grandmother's hairspray. The scent lingers for a while both on your hair and in the room you sprayed it in. If you don't like strong scents then it's probably best to avoid this one.
