I purchased 2 of these to create space buns, I was surprised and happy when I opened the pack to find snag free hair ties and bobby pins (what a bonus).
The buns are thick and create added volume.
I part my hair into 2 halves, and keep hair down that's around my face. I tie up each half with a hair tie and depending on my mood I either curl or straighten each side from mid length to ends (don't forget heat protectant!) Using my tail comb I back comb the top to mid length and then take small sections to add around and on the bun before securing with a bobby pin. I do this until all the hair is up and secure, then I curl or straighten the hair around my face before setting everything with hair spray. It stays intact all day.
I also have 1 bun to style my daughters hair for school, hers is sleeked back and secured to create a tidy do which lasts all day, and with her sports it barely moves.
I highly recommend and will repurchase in the future.
Don’t know how i did without it when i used to do buns for work. You always get the perfect symmetrical bun and you get so quick at it after a while. I did find that I couldn’t use a bun net over it as they don’t make nets that big, but you can just pin any flyaways behind the donut.
Tips: Not really for thin hair or hair shorter than medium length. For really long hair, instead of spreading your hair over the styler you can thread your hair through the hole several times and go along it to cover the donut like that to achieve your bun.
