I wanted to love this, as the idea of it sounds right up my alley. Unfortunately, I did not!
Naturally I have super frizzy hair, but I recently had keratin straightening which has been great, but definitely left my hair looking limp and flat. I was hoping this brush would give me the root volume I wanted whilst leaving my hair still looking smooth and shiny. I tried it on my hair in its natural state, and no matter how many times I tried I could not get a smooth uplifted look like you can get from your straighteners. If I pulled too tight my hair got stuck in the bristles and became more tangled, and if I didn’t pull enough there was no change in my hair even on the hottest setting.
I do have lots of hair, although it is fine, so it took me a long time to do it in smaller sections. Leaving my hair loose, it looked a mess and not very smooth or silky. What I did like it for is giving some oomph to a high pony tail or using it for touch ups on day two or three after my hair was styled with another tool. I definitely did not get the look of a great blowout like I had hoped.
Ultimately, this wasn’t right for my hair type. My trusty GHD still does a better job at giving me lift (if I use the right technique) and as convenient as this is being rechargeable and hand bag friendly, it just didn’t cut the mustard for me. It’s a shame as I love the Lady Jane hair tooth likes hair ties/brushes etc.
Ohhh gosh, I wanted to love this so bad and I don't think I have ever clicked on an invite link so fast as I did with this one! Unfortunately, this product is not for me. I have medium length hair and a fair amount of it - so my first issue was that there would be no possible way I could finish all of my hair without this running out of charge. The fact that it is cordless is such a bonus, but not so much when it doesn't have much juice in the tank and you can't finish your hair!
My second issue was that I got this majorly stuck in my hair! I have quite fine hair which can tangle easily, but this was next level! I had to end up getting my partner to untangle this for me, all whilst panicking I was going to have to cut it out (if this also happens to you, make sure you turn the temperature off!). I did give it another couple of times after this, but I still just could not get it to look like it did on the videos of the model. I couldn't get any lift and I certainly couldn't roll it through my hair like she did without getting it tangled.
I do love the design, and love that it is cordless - overall a great concept, but just not for me. Perhaps it would work better for someone who is better at hair than me haha, but I will stick to my straightener and curlers for now.
