First impressions. Love the packaging, and the clean fresh fragrance. I was very interested in giving this a go, and I must say i'm super impressed. I have long colour damaged hair that tends to have a mind of its own so it usually takes a bit to control. When I didn't get much of a lather on my hair like im used to, I wasn't expecting much on it actually cleaning my locks and the conditioner was very light. But after having a knott free head of hair without needing to comb!!! I left my hair to dry naturally and it dried frizz free and soft. I like the idea that is is a natural product with no harsh additives, and with the results I have had I would absolutely purchase again and recommend to others

Tips: I always shampoo twice...first shampoo the grease second shampoo moisturises and softens my hair.
I was so excited to try this product. The smell of the shampoo was a little stronger than I was expecting, It had a sort of antiseptic smell to it. I had to use more shampoo than I would use any other salon shampoos. The conditioner smelt delicious. I loved how I my hair felt silky after it was dry and it was nice and shiny. I did find that I needed to wash my hair more regularly than I would using my normal shampoo. I would use this shampoo again, maybe to have a break from my salon shampoo or take away camping with me (which I did over the long weekend and it was really convenient).
Tips: Wash hair a little more regularly if using this shampoo and conditioner. Use more shampoo for longer hair.
I love natural beauty products so was really excited to be chosen to review this natural shampoo and conditioner. I found the packaging to be very pretty and fresh and I liked the idea that it had no nasty chemicals in it that can strip your hair of it's oils. Unfortunately the smell was not for me, I found it to be really strong in both the shampoo and the conditioner. I also felt that I needed to use quite a lot of product on my hair for it to spread easily and form a lather (I do need to add that I have very long hair). Once my hair was dry I found it to be very clean and the smell toned down which I was pleased about. I think I would use this shampoo and conditioner again if I wanted to give my hair a rest from all the other products I use but I have to be honest and say that I do prefer my usual shamppo and conditioner. I think that this product is very over priced as well.
Tips: Use a little bit extra product for longer hair
This shampoo and conditioner smells amazing and had a very calming effect on me. I was very surprised at how little i really needed to use each wash which, for me, would more than justify spending the rather hefty price that it retails for. My hair glowed after using, it smelled so fresh and was smooth and silky. My scalp (which has been known to react to some brands) felt fine. I was very, very happy with this product and i will not hesitate in recommending it to family and friends.
Tips: Use a very small amount, this will last for ages and you will most definitely be getting your moneys worth.
I have pretty fine hair that can get dry or greasy really quick; so I wash at least 3 times a week.
Everything- from the shampoo to the conditioner is a fine balance (no puns intended).
What I really loved about the shampoo is it left my scalp feeling soothed and cool. I sometimes suffer from a flaky scalp .. could be the zillion chemicals in the shampoos I experiment with? My hair was left clean but not in tangles... like it gets before putting conditioner on it. 10/10 for the amazing scent. The conditioner (like the name suggests) is very refreshing, smells awesome and left my hair feeling smooth and baby soft. Best in-hope spa experience :) Love my rejuvenated hair <3
Tips: Leave the conditioner in longer than you would and finish the rest of your bath before you wash it off.
I liked the packaging of this product with the colourful natural photos and clearly stating that it doesn't have any nasty chemicals in it. I would prefer a upside down bottle so its easier for getting the product out when u get towards the end. I really liked the smell of both. The products worked well enough but I didn't feel any addictional benefits that i dont get from any ordinary shampoo. I felt the retail price is far too high... and thats what mostly would prevent me from buying this product in the future.
Tips: Shampoo twice so that you get the full benefits of the product and remember to rince hair with luke warm water.... not hot which will damage the hair shaft
Hello all! This is my first review and i'm going to be reviewing the linden leaves shampoo and conditioner.
Firstly let me tell you a little bit about the condition of my hair, i'm unnaturally white blonde with red streaks through it. So when looking for shampoo and conditioner I need something nourishing and of course value for money. The shampoo and conditioners major pro's are that they smell beautiful, particularly the conditioner its like drowning yourself in mandarin juice! Yum yum! so for anyone who loves fruity essences this one is an absolute winner!
So both claim to be great for coloured hair, however although they smell beautiful and refreshing. I'm afraid to say it did little to 'boost' the overall colour of my hair. I allowed my hair to dry naturally and I didn't feel as if it felt like anything special. For some reason I also did not particularly like the consistency of the shampoo, it almost reminded me of hotel shampoo! Also I found a little did not go a long way, really had to work it into the hair to make the shampoo lather up beautifully.
So for some people like myself i am a packaging freak! The packing helps me determine my purchase, it has to be eye catching and instantly tell me what i'm in for. The packaging was a let down for me...I know it is available at pharmacies and too be honest it almost reminded me of 'T-GEL' shampoo packaging. Just a little bit dull for my taste! Although perhaps the packaging does scream out to consumers that it is a pharmacy brand. If the set is niche to pharmacies it does have that kind of medicinal feel about it. But for me that is not what I look for with product appearance and packaging, there was just nothing too special about it... disappointing! However I loved how it stated on the packaging 'paraben free', so no nasty ingredients with negative connotations. This is always and important aspect for me when buying any product from shampoo, to skin care.
As far as the RRP being $30.00 I would not pay this, it is definitely not worth the price. Compared to other brands I have used there is nothing overly distinguishing about the products. Typically I use Salon brands like 'sebastion' just because I am so conscious about caring for my hair because it is so blonde at the moment. And too be honest I thought maybe I was a little biased towards the shampoo before I even tried it. However I was lucky enough to be sent the TRESEMME split ends remedy shampoo and conditioner set and I adore this! That definitely trumps the linden leaves!
So to sum up my review, its an OK product, as far as going out of my way to purchase I wouldn't. But if I received it as a gift from someone I would use it, or I would use it to tide me over if I ran out of my normal hair care.
Tips: When using any shampoo I always repeat the shampooing stage twice. The first time I shampoo I just count this as really getting the first lot of pollutants and any dirt residue away from the hair. Also you tend to notice the shampoo does not lather as much when shampooing the first time. By shampooing twice you get to judge it's lathering abilities more on the second go. This product needed slightly more shampoo to be used than I like. However the conditioner was a beautiful consistency, I just made sure I applied a generous amount to my hair and worked a comb through the ends. Also remember to give the conditioner the benefit of the doubt. Allow it to soak into the hair for between 2-5 minutes and let it do it's magic ;)
As my first products to test for Beauty Review I got to try out the Linden Leaves rosemary and cypress shampoo and balm mint and tangerine conditioner.
These come in 270 ml bottles which sit nicely in my shower caddy. Both products are a good consistency that come easily out of the bottle and both work well with my hair, which is very thick and wavy. I also gave some to a friend who has very fine hair and washes daily with no or very occasional conditioner. The shampoo was great for adding body to her hair while still leaving it soft and shiny!
However both of us found the rosemary smell of the shampoo a little overpowering and inclined to remind us of a household disinfectant.
But the smell of the conditioner is just wonderful! – a very refreshing tangy mint unlike any other fragrance I have experienced with a hair product before. The shampoo contains a number of beneficial plant oils of avocado, rosehip, coconut and rosemary and burdock root extract, while the conditioner contains oils of balm mint and tangerine along with some conventional quats for hair conditioning. The bottles could be confused in the shower though the fragrances of the two products do make them distinguishable. However the addition of different coloured tops might make it easier for the smell impaired. Overall I thought that these are nice products and now having used them for a few weeks I am convinced! I love being able to wash may hair and have the lovely smell of the conditioner pervading the shower. Just bought my first set from the website. Thanks Linden Leaves!
Tips: Good for adding body to fine hair.
I really liked this shampoo and conditioner set. The smell was divine but it did smell fake. I have quite fine hair and I don't like conditioner that makes my hair feel heavy. The conditioner made my hair feel soft and healthy without feeling like it was being weighed down. The shampoo made my hair feel clean without making my scalp feel itchy and dry. I'm would definitely buy these again.
Tips: If you have fine hair or a sensitive scalp this would be a great product for you. Smells amazing and left my hair feeling clean and soft.
Being my first product to try I was really excited as soon as it arrived I went and tryed it, The Rosemary and cypress shampoo I found the smell over powering and I did think I was putting household disinfectant into my hair, on the upside it did give me a very clean sculp. The conditioner was just amazing I loved the smell of it and it detangled my long thick hair and I didnt have to comb it afterwards, I just flicked my hair up into a bun and away I went.
Tips: After towel drying my hair I took a bit of the conditioner and combed it through my hair with my fingers paying more attention to my ends and it made my hair look shiny all day long.
