Love be this shampoo bar! Firstly I like that it doesn't have any of the usual chemical nasties you find in normal shampoos. I have curly wavy hair and I love the amount of volume and body the sea salt gives to my hair, and it makes the waves look more beachy too. Will definitely be repurchasing this one!

Tips: Wet your hair thoroughly and massage the wet shampoo bar over your head a few times. Don't be fooled, you don't need a lot because it lathers up like crazy! Follow up with the BIG solid conditioner for extra volume and beachy wave texture!
I have to say I’ve never used a solid shampoo bar, and the idea of using one had never really appealed to me just because I didn’t find any problem with using regular liquid shampoo. However this was a product I received as part of the Lush Legends pack, so was a great way to try a new lush product, as well as a discovering a new form of shampoo.
This shampoo bar comes in a solid round, and it is bright blue in colour, with little green pieces of seaweed flecked throughout the shampoo bar. The look of this bar is hard to explain, although it is solid, it looks like it’s made up on tiny grains on rice all squished together and the look of that wasn’t to appealing to be completely honest.
My hair is dark black, thick and long and full of volume! It is prone to frizziness, and lacks a bit of lustre, and is a bit.. wiry at times. In saying that, it also rarely gets tangled and knotty, but is prone to having a dry scalp.
I find this shampoo bar a little hard to hold in the shower because the size of it makes it just so slightly too big to sit in the palm of my hand so that’s one aspect that I find difficult especially when it gets wet and a little slippery, so I have dropped it a few times in the shower. However, I still find it relatively easy enough to apply, and just rub it over my scalp when it’s wet. A little rub of this over my hair is more than enough to create a really good lather, so I use my fingers to massage my scalp and then move the lathering foam down to wash my ends.
This shampoo leaves my hair feeling squeaky clean, and I mean squeaky so I’m not a fan of that, as well as the fact that it still leaves some flakes of dry skin and things like that behind. Also, if I don’t use a conditioner after using this, my hair actually gets quite tangled as opposed to softening tangled locks, which is what this shampoo says it will do. However, when my hair dries, I really like how it feels, it is soft (if I follow with a conditioner), and my hair isn’t frizzy and has a nice shine to it so that’s something I’m really happy about. In all honestly, I wouldn’t purchase this bar again, but I think that’s because this bar wasn’t chosen by me, so is probably not right for my hair type. I will say that after using this product, I am a fan of solid shampoo and will go back to Lush and purchase one this is actually right for my hair type.
I am in total love with this Shampoo bar from Lush. I lost my Lush in store first purchase virginity and this was one those purchases. At first I was a bit weirded out because of the seaweed and the colour of the bar itself, but hey life's too short to not try these types of products right?
Ease of Use – This is a really user-friendly bar to use on your hair. Usually I would break some off and put the rest back in its original packaging to stop it from going soft in the shower. Unfortunately I was too much in a rush to use it that I forgot and took the whole bar in with me. It has gone a wee bit soft but I have since put it into a container and all is not lost.
It lathers up so well and you don’t need much at all. It makes my hair feel a little dry when its been rinsed out but don’t worry, its supposed to feel like this. Once my hair was starting to dry (I air dry my hair) I could feel my hair feel so soft and smooth and it felt so clean too. This has become one of my favourite bars and at $15.90, it will last you for ages and ages.
Tips: Because it lathers up so well, I highly recommend you don’t put too much on your hair because it does take awhile to rinse it out if you do.
i love the scent of this solid shampoo bar by lush and its fragrance is long lasting. It does a decent job of cleaning my fine hair without stripping it and it lasts and lasts.
I purchased this bar for a camping trip to save space and didn't have huge expectations, but have enjoyed using it. I find that a little goes a very long way and it lathers up beautifully. Did I mention the scent? It is pretty great if you like a soapy floral as it has plenty of jasmine and mimosa in it. The shampoo rinses cleanly and I didn't feel the need to wash twice. After a weeks use, I did find I needed to deep condition my hair. Overall a good result
Tips: To make it last well, make sure it is stored somewhere it can fully drain and dry between use, and follow with a rich conditioner
I love Lush's shampoo bars - this was my second. Each time I try a different one and this one is not my favourite but it is still really good!
If you haven't used the shampoo bars before, they are amazing! So economical and stop the many huge bottles accumulating in the shower! They do foam up just like regular shampoo and you can either wet it and rub it between your hands or rub it straight onto your hair.
They are really amazing for any one who travels frequently (or if you are planning a trip grab one of these). They are light and last me a lot longer than a bottle of shampoo does. I also bought the tin to store it in (but mainly for ease of travelling).
This particular scent I only bought as I got it on the Boxing Day Sale (HALF PRICE). I am not a huge fan of the seaweed in it (creeps me out a little to be honest) but it doesn't stick to your hair which is the main thing. The scent is not overpowering and is somewhat 'fresh' smelling (rather than ocean-like as you would think). I wouldn't say it necessarily makes my hair shinier or more (noticeably) volumised but it does leave it feeling quite soft and really clean.
Overall, I love the shampoo bars in general. I have a sensitive scalp (occasionally get eczema-type rash along part of my hair line and scalp). This would come and go as it pleased. Since using these shampoo bars it has not returned (yet any way) so I would say these are suitable to those with sensitive skin and may be ok for those with minor scalp conditions. I probably would not buy this particular one again simply because there are other bars that I prefer and work better on my hair. But that being said I still like this one!
Tips: Buy the tin! It makes it so much easier to travel with and does not allow for any residue to dry off in your shower.
This is the first shampoo bar i have tried and i must say its not the greatest thing i have ever smelt.. it does the job and my hair feels very clean but not volumised at all unfortunatly. I will be trying a different kind when this one runs out.. maybe Honey I Washed My Hair??
I feel like this may have been the wrong shampoo for me, it lathers well, and leave your hair feeling really clean but my hair felt so dry and like synthetic like afterwards. like all the moisture had been sucked out of it. the scent nice but I prefer the karma komba (the green one) better, this is just not suitable for my hair and i only purchased because i did a major hail on boxing day 2014 cause they had 50% off but not for me. I have thick, dry, frizzy hair
I have been buying shampoo bars for a while now, especially for my children, but this one I love just for me. The smell is really fresh, but not as strong as some of the other shampoo bars. It lathers really well, I have long hair and it doesn't take much to get a good lather.
My hair feels really squeaky clean when its rinsed, and smells nice. I have found that my hair is not heavy when I have used this bar, definitely more volume. Follow with Lush conditioning bar for great hair.
Tips: Make sure to place this on a surface where it can drain after use - to stop it from going soft and crumbly. If it does, just break off a piece for use each time.
This is my favourite shampoo bar from lush. It has a lovely scent kind of like sea salt. The bar has seaweed in it which is good for soft skin and the lemon gets rid of oil. You don't need heaps because it lathers really well. It does clean my hair really well, I only need to wash it every 3 days
Tips: Keep it out of the shower because if it stays in water it turns it to liquid
I purchased the Lush Seanik Shampoo Bar a couple of years ago and really loved it!! I have thick, long hair that often tangles and becomes unruly. I found that the Seanik not only made my hair less tangled but my hair was left feeling soft and smooth.
Initially I was a bit sceptical of a solid shampoo bar, as I mainly use salon shampoo and conditioner, however I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Seanik Bar worked for my hair. Not only did my hair look and feel softer and silkier but the shampoo bar is great for the environment as you use all of it and there is no plastic packaging to throw away after it has finished. Perfect!
Tips: I know that LUSH does a range of solid shampoo's - this particular one worked amazing for me but I did spent a bit of time in store looking at their range and picking the one that I felt best suited my hair needs. I suggest going into LUSH and having a chat with the people in store and see which solid bar would best work for you!!
