Product comes in an easy to use tube with a plastic comb like applicator rather than your typical mascara brush. The 8ml tube is convenient to keep in your bags/purse. I received the brown one for trialing. Now the actual product is pretty light and watery in consistency and has a slight chemically smell to it.Easy to apply to the hairline greys to give you a neatened up look. My hair is pretty fine and thin especially near the hairline. It did take a while to dry up (more than 5 mins as suggested on the package) personally I didn’t like the stiff and hardened hair look where this was applied. When combed through my hair I noticed that it did transfer a bit of the product to the comb and even to my fingers when I ran them through hours after I had applied it. However it is easy to wash it off. To be honest my everyday eye mascaras works a lot better in covering my tiny hairline greys. I also prefer the brush applicator to the comb type one on this. Overall the product does do what it says and is easy to use. It just comes down to personal preference really, and this is one of those products that I don’t see myself reaching for.

The product packaging was nice and discreet and the same size as a mascara so you could pop it in ur hand bag if you wanted to use it on the go. It has a rubber type mascara wand applicator which is good for covering smells areas of greys etc. I found the coverage from the product itself good, it was quick to use but it left this weird brown residue on my scalp which I didn't like. I was so paranoid going out with this in my hair cos of what it would leave on my scalp! I probably wouldn't use it again because of this.
The product itself comes in a mascara style tube and blends into your hair with an applicator similar to a mascara wand but more like a little comb. It blends in easily and covers grey which is exactly what I'm after. It's marvellous for quick touch ups.
BUT it doesn't last like it says it does, definitely not until the next wash and I found myself constantly touching up.
So, would I buy it again? Probably not unless it was on special.
In summary, probably a great thing to have on hand for grey emergencies but be prepared to touch it up.
Tips: Reapply as necessary throughout the day.
I had high hopes for the product, however, it didn’t work for my very curly mane. The colour was great for my hair - I had dark brown. However, I couldn’t comb it through my hair without ending up like Diana Ross! I tried leaving it as is, without combing, and kind of smudging it into my hair, but it would end up looking like I had applied too much gel in that area. I tried using a very very minimal amount, but then that wouldn’t be enough coverage for my greys. I feel this would be great for someone with fine, straight hair. But for my thick curly hair, i couldn’t get it to work in a way that I felt confident that no one would notice I had used hair mascara. However, I did find it great as a eyebrow gel...found this out by accident, as I had ran out of mine. I put a little bit on an old spooly, combed it through my brows and it gave me a bit of colour but also held them in place great! It was an awesome fluke!
Tips: While I wouldn’t recommend going out and buying this for an eyebrow gel, it does work great as one if you’re in a pinch - put a little on an old spooly, brush through brows and you’re done!
My product was packaged in a small wand applicator box which could easily fit into a small hand bag. The product discription should be made clear to the consumer and state the words "wand" or "applicator wand" to give more description of what would be received. The packaging was easy to open and the directions easy to follow. Applying the product was easy but I have long hair and found the the small applicator brush was too small to use for my length of hair but should be perfect for short to medium length hair. I also found that some grey hairs missed out even when I combed through my hair. I also found that after I combed it through my hair, product was left behind on the comb and I had to reapply the product again to my hair. Perhaps I should have waited longer than 5 mins for my hair to dry as my hair was longer and thicker in strand.
Tips: I should have also worn a towl or gloves as my clothes and hands had colour marks on them from my hair. As mentioned previously I would recommend for those with shorter length hair and for short term use.
I was excited about this little treasure as i have scattered greys on my dark brown hair and havent been able to get to the salon yet and was intriqued at how this would work.
Upon opening the product i saw the that it was a medium rusty brown with mica (the glittery stuff) all through it, which at first made me quite skeptical as i didnt want my greys sparkling in the midday sun. I was expecting a mascara wand but the wand this product has is flat with spikes on both sides, i found this a bit hard to use and it always got stuck im my hair when trying to use it (could be user error though)
I swiped it on the hair after reading the instructions and noticed you have to use the spiked edges otherwise the product clumps and you end up with a huge brown spot on ya scalp if you are near your hair line. However i could smudge it off with my fingers a bit. It took a lot of product to cover my greys but once finished it did cover them and the colour seemed to match despite the initial colour of the product.
I then had to comb my hair a few times to disperse and let it dry. During the day i had a fee people comment and ask if i ha done my hair again, so it must be working.
Not sure if i would buy this, i may reach for a coloured hair spray and give that a go before i come back to this
Tips: Make time to apply this, its not a quick swipe and you are out the door!
Great concept but tricky to get right
I have a few stray grey hairs and also I have some leftover lightened pieces of hair throughout my hair that I thought I could easily touch up with this product and blend in to make my hair look more of an even colour all over. Alas, (while the concept of the product is great, practical and there is a definite need for it), I found the product tricky to use and get right. It was hard to apply to stray hairs and when I used it on my random light pieces even though I tried blending in by brushing through I still was not happy with the colour and I found it to be too noticeable and not natural looking. It was hard to get the coverage right and I preferred to apply it once I had put my hair into the style I wanted, but then I found the brush kept accidentally pulling on random hairs or bunching the hair.
Tips: I feel like this is a product I need more time to play around and practice with.
My hair is too thick for this type of application. The colour stayed put all day and is not as drying as the spray application.
Tips: Use as quick natural brow application.
Handy for grey touchups . I like this. But I'm not sure about full regrowth application. The brush is little so that could be tricky.
I didn't love this product, it made my hair crispy even after combing through, I didn't find it to make much a colour difference either, could be that some of my roots were showing through and the are perhaps too dark for this. It made a marginal difference but was quite gold, not a nice blond colour Application was easy and the brush was effective in distributing around the hair I wouldnt buy this again however, which is a shame as I had high hopes.
Tips: Perhaps this product is better for someone with completely grey hair rather than just some greys and some dark...
