Michael O’Rourke’s Size Matters Big Volume Root Pump Review

I struggle every day to manage to get my hair bouncy and full of volume however with Michael O’Rourke’s Size Matters Big Volume Root Pump it was easy and simple. I sprayed it directly into my roots while my hair was still damp (towel dried) and then continued with my normal hair regime of blow drying and straightening. My hair stayed full of volume throughout the day. This product was light weight on my hair, it was not sticky like some volume enhancing products I have previously used. Also it smells fresh and clean.

As a girl, we all want volume in our hair... This product does exactly that, but not for very long. It could be because i have super think hair and didn't use enough... But for the time it lasted, I HAD A GOOD HAIR DAY! YAY! Obviously, the more you use the better... but you don't want to be rocking cardboard with a greasy touch. I would recommend this product defiantly if you had fine hair that styles well.or if you are addicted to hair spray\

When I opened my package I was pleasantly surprised at how big the bottle actually was. I really loved the packaging. The bright pink bottle was awesome and it even has a heart filled with diamantes, so cute!

I then sprayed some of the product into the air and loved the smell! It smelled of fresh melons, more along the lines of rockmellon which is really nice :) It sprays well, although I did find that the lid was a little bit hard to pop off, but you get the hang of it after a couple of try’s.

When I came to trying the product I didn’t know whether it was meant to be just a plain spray or if it was meant to come out as a foamy consistency. This is because it would spray onto my head (I looked in the mirror) but when I finished spraying there was foam on the nozzle bit, it had looked like it came from under the nozzle. I think that maybe this was a deformity on just the bottle. My hair is quite long as it takes ages to blow dry on a normal day. I found that with this product in my hair it took longer than usual and kind of made my hair a little bit tangled. Once my hair was dry though I did notice an increase in volume but just by the slightest. It did make my hair go quite fluffy, and even more so as the day progressed.

Overall, I probably wouldn’t recommend this product to someone who has naturally voluminous, fluffy hair as it makes it goes 10 times more like that. I would however recommend this product to someone with flat, straight hair as I think it would do the trick quite well. I think the thing I liked most was the rockmellon smell it had to it. The trial was an awesome experience :)

If you are in need of a bit of lift or volume in your hair, than this product is definitely for you. I have thick long wavy hair and products aren't usually 'strong' enough to add any volume or they add way too much. Bearing this in mind I used minimal amounts and put them straight into the roots. As soon as my hair was blow dried I noticed extra volume straight away and throughout the day found it increased. My hair also felt quite knotted and tangled which was a pain.

The product is a weird consistency - it doesn't completely foam and when I first sprayed into onto my hand it very much felt like a spray! It smells like cucumber and melon- not like the usual chemical/styling product smell which was a huge plus for me.

The packaging is very cute, a bit on the heavy side so probably not great for travelling. $25 for this product is pretty reasonable considering the quality and size - i can envisage it lasting me months!

While this product isn't great for my hair type, I think it would be fantastic for people that were really in need of some volume - so I don't think I'll be repurchasing.

I found that I this mousse left me crunchy and I seriously dislike that feeling. I was unable to run my hands through my hair and I found that I needed to wash my hair everyday. In saying that, the volume my hair got was amazing, I normally have flat limp hair and I had people commenting on how lush my hair looked! I love the volume it gives and would definitely sacrifice the crunchy feeling for the volume I get from it!

Lets start at the beginning opened it up to find this huge bright pink bottle with diamantes love it so size matters straight from the get go....doesn't have a strong smell which is good for me as I don't like overpowering smells, first time I used it I only got gas and no foam perhaps I didn't shake enough after that it worked fine, sprayed into my hair at the roots scrunched it in combed it through then blow dried my hair the results were there not overly noticeable but none the less I did see a difference and I reckon as my hair dried more it fluffed up more...not in a bad way either I have greasy hair and the product didn't seem to make it any worse which is a bonus. You don't need too much so would last awhile unless you go crazy. I would recommend to friends especially ones with flat limp hair if they want a boost in volume.

This product was good but it didn't do very much of what it said it will, it made my hair very greasy aswell as very frizzy, it didn't make my hair too much fuller and I had to google how to use it as it was a bit confusing at first, also, the bit where the product comes out always leaks after you use it and then it gets hard and you can't take the lid off anymore after that but that might just be a defect with mine..? Maybe it's just because I like soft hair but I really didn't like using it and couldn't wait to get home and wash it out as it got very annoying by the end of the day. I don't think it has a particular smell, it was just an aerosol spray sort of smell so it didn't bother me too much. I really disliked having to spray at my roots as I knew that it would become oily and think that maybe if it was a mousse it would have worked better. I also didn't enjoy that it was very tangled and it was like I had used hairspray and couldn't brush my hair out. Overall, I would recommend this to someone who has hair more on the dry side.

I have fine oily hair, so anything that states to give me thick voluminous hair I'm all for!

First of all the packaging: The bottle is waay bigger than I expected it to be, like it's actually really quite big. This product will last you a really long time in my opinion, so really good value for money. I love the bright pink colour of the bottle and jewels, it looks girly hehe.

I actually find the smell quite sweet but not to much that it's sickening.

Okay, so every morning I would towel dry my hair and spray this directly onto the roots and brush through. I did this because I don't blowdry. This product never once made my hair feel or look oily, something I was really worried about and it gave it slight volume. Not noticeable amount of difference but still more volume than usual! I also tried flipping my hair over my head and spraying and flipping it back, but that didn't make any difference. It was super easy to spray and hold, and also didn't leave any residue or marks. Bonus!

After I have finished this bottle I wouldn't repurchase, there just isn't enough difference to my hair by using this. I may as well find something else that works better for me.

I had the chance to trail this item and it wasn't for me at all. It didn't give me volume and just made my hair feel sticky. I have fine straight hair so my hairs always flat. I can never hold curls in my hair as they always fall even if I put heaps of product in. I love the bottle tho it looks so cute! But that's about it.
