Mita GEMTIPS Detangling Brush Review

This brush is cute as heck (rainbow bristles!) and it works so well! I have long, fine curly hair that gets knotty VERY easily. I normally wouldn't dare brush my hair while it's wet because it would snag and break, but this brush is absolutely amazing for gently and painlessly detangling whether it's wet or dry. I like to bring this brush into the shower with me and use it to spread conditioner through my hair and get rid of any knots. I've also found that when my hair is dry, this brush leaves my hair looking smooth and sleek as opposed to the frizziness I got from my old hairbrush. I would definitely recommend the Mita GEMTIPS brush for anyone who is prone to tangles and wants a cute brush that will make your hair easier to manage.

Well, as a mother of two girls with long hair as well as having long hair myself, fighting knots is a daily battle! I am always on the look out for a brush that that will gently remove tangles and i have found it! This brush loosens the toughest knots easily with the bonus of being able to use it on wet hair as well as dry. It is a nice, light brush which is very easy for small hands to manage as well. I loved it so much that I have just put an order in for 3 more!

This is what my 8-year old son said to me after I brushed my hair with the Gemtips brush. But not before my 12-year old got her hands on it and declared "oh my god, I LOVE it!!!" This is such an interesting hair brush. It looks lightweight and somewhat flimsy, and I really didn't have high hopes that it would suit my long, thick and often unruly hair. For example, the TangleTeaser hairbrush has similar looking bristles that just don't get all the way through my hair. But this brush is different. The bristles get all the way through to my scalp and left my hair much smoother and straighter than any other brush has managed - it even gave my scalp a nice massage. I tried it on my son's crazy curly hair and it was really gentle and he didn't yelp when it caught on the knots. We also tried it on wet hair and it was fabulous. I feel like this brush is more than meets the eye, has many uses and suits thick, long, curly and knotty hair!

Reviewed as part of of a trial team. Don't be fooled by the appearance of this brush, to be honest I wasn't super impressed when I first saw this, it looked very light and flimsy. However the lightness of the handle makes this brush super easy to manoeuvre, the bristles are flexible and doesn't tug and just gently detangles my thick hair and the tips massage my scalp each time I brush. Washing and rinsing my hair with shampoo and conditioner is a breeze with this brush. I have really enjoyed using this brush.

This is the nicest hair brush I have ever used. I have replaced this with my usual hair brush from the first time I used it. It easily gets rid of knots without pulling on your hair. I have thick hair that is constantly getting knotty but this brush eases through without pain

Each bristle is actually 2 bristles - one longer that the other. The bristles are a great length, meaning they brush hair right down to the scalp - perfect for people like me, with super thick hair!

I found this brushed through my tangled hair effortlessly - whether wet or dry.

I really like using this to distribute serum in through my hair.

I will be recommending this to anyone interested in purchasing a detangler or indeed a basic brush - this is a winner on both counts!

This product is amazing! I have thin curly hair that gets extremely knotty. I have never been able to run a brush through my hair and struggle to do so when my hair is wet. Using this product is amazing, it glides through your hair. The first time I used this was on my hair dry when it was all knotted and tangled and it just went straight through, it was painless and quick! Usually I have to hold the bottom of my hair and tug it through but with this I just had to brush the hair through. This hair brush is amazing and I highly recommend this to all hair types, it even feels like your getting a head massage when brushing your hair. Definitely recommend purchasing!

Cool looking colourful brush was the first thing I noticed! Love the colour way and the style of the brush. The bristles are nice and colourful and it's really quite a big brush (I expected smaller, but not a bad surprise).

Pretty conventional packing eg the brush attached to a piece of card where you have to snip the plastic bits that attach it. The brush is nice and light and easy to hold, the flexi-control is awesome and the flexible bristles are equally as awesome! Works really well on the head with the flexibility.

So I actually gave this to my 7 year old daughter to try first, she has long hair and is a nightmare trying to brush her hair, she has a SUPER sensitive scalp and cries and yells EVERY TIME I brush her hair :( I let her try it in the shower on wet hair that had been washed and conditioned, she LOVED it! Went through the hair easily and she said didn't pull! No tears, that's amazing!

Also tried it on her hair when dry (and still using it everyday) and honestly it is sooooo much better than any other brush she has used and she was using a Mita detangling hair brush (an earlier model one), but the new one is so much better.

She gives it a 10/10 -her own rating. I have used it also and it is so nice on my scalp, really gets in there but doesn't pull or snag the hair and almost gives you a bit of a scalp massage at the same time!

Great brush that I will definitely continue using for myself and my daughter (am buying a new one for me haha).

To start off this review, I'd like to say I have fine curly hair (which moults constantly) and usually use a boar bristle brush.

I found the brush very easy to use, it didn't snag my hair and it didn't end up frizzy when the brush was used on dry hair - which is something I'm prone to. When used on wet hair, it brushed through with ease and was very easy styling.

Moreover, I feel as though I didn't lose as much hair as usual, making it very easy to clean. It was also easy to clean due to the make-up of the brush, the bristles are held in by a plastic spiral shape (instead of an air filled puffy thing which can fill up with water). The spiral shape still allowed the brush to have some spring/movement, but it dried quickly.

It was also apparent that the tips are a part of the bristle - hence they are unlikely to break away from it, which can happen to other brushes can causing the bristles to become scratchy.

Lastly, a great to perk to this brush is it can be used in the shower to distribute shampoo evenly. Which I think is a real bonus.

So far I'm very happy with the Mita Gemtips brush, and the above features, I believe means it will serve me well for a long time.

My daughter and I have very long fine hair that tangles easily. Brushing my daughter's hair was always a nightmare but the Mita Gemtips Hairbrush makes detangling her birds nest a breeze. The long fine tips are multi-coloured (hence the name gem tips) and go through the hair to the scalp gently detangle while massaging the scalp. The flexible paddle not only looks great, with it's cool design, it also moulds to your scalp and minimizes pulling. The Mita gemtips hair brush leaves our hair silky and tangle free and doesn't pull or stretch wet hair.
