I was feeling very proud of myself I hadn't touched a blonde hair dye in months and had been relying on lightening sprays and lightening shampoos and conditioners to do the job so I could save my hair from over dying and it was working a treat but I wanted a change. I wanted to go ash blonde from just blonde. I brought this in the colour ash blonde 10.1. I brought 2 boxes as I have long hair.
There are only 2 parts to mixing this, the colour cream in a metal tube to the developer in the bottle too easy. It also comes with disposable gloves instructions and the 7 oils treatment conditioner.
I add the 2 dye solutions together and apply to my hair, the application nozzle has a long tip making it easy to get right to the roots. This has a chemical scent but also has another type of scent too, much like the mens deodorant Lynx.
After 30 minutes I wash it out and condition my hair with the conditioner, it smells lovely the only problem I have is there is never enough conditioner. Once dried I can't notice any real difference to my hair, it's not ashy toned but instead may have made the blonde even blonder, this is the first time I have experienced this with ash blonde dye. Probably won't repurchase this dye again.
I've tried this in both black and a red. The biggest positive I can pull from it is the smell isn't overly chemical, the scent is mild and sweet.
It mixes well, develops quickly and as long as you wipe any spots of it off your skin in good time doesn't stain. The nozzle on the applicator bottle is easy to use.
Conditioner that comes with it smells really nice and the scent lingers in hair for a good few days.
Unfortunately when I went to wash it out I was alarmed to see a huge amount of my hair going down the drain. This hair shedding continued for a good week afterwards. Thinking I may have done something wrong I tried it again the next time I coloured my hair but the same thing happened. No other dyes have had this effect.
Granted it's an affordable option but I won't be purchasing this again. I also found that the colour faded really quickly.
