I used this hair dye about 2 weeks ago and my hair still looks as good as the day I did it. It looks freshly dyed and great. I'm so impressed with this colour. I went from a deep brown to blue black and I love the look. My hair wasn't damaged in any way by this dye too. Which sometimes shows a week after you've coloured. At first I was hesitant because this box dye was so cheap ($6) but it's done a great job. I will definitely reuse and recommend to others (in blue black) as I haven't used any other colour before.
Tips: Use Vaseline or Trilogy Everything balm around your hairline and ears before dyeing, it'll decrease the chance of getting dark dye on your skin. If it does get on skin with either balm, you can just wipe off!!.
Really like this range of colours, especially the light blondes, as they are pale and have complete coverage without adding yellow tones. They go on smooth and leave hair feeling nourished and soft afterwards. Recommend to all who want a cheap home colour range that you can trust
Tips: If hair reaches shoulders or have overly thick hair try two boxes as the colour is absorbed quite quickly
I dye my hair all the time! I loved this hair dye, I got it on special for $7 NZD which is a huge bargain for someone in New Zealand. The colour came out as the exact same colour on the box, was even throughout the hair and there were no patches.
Tips: Make sure you follow the instructions, if you have lighter roots than the rest of your hair (regrowth from previously dying hair) apply the dye to your roots first and let it develop for 10 minutes then apply over the rest of your hair for and all over even result.
I love that I can get a great, natural looking Chestnut colour on my thick, dark brown hair using this product - and for half or a third of the fancy name brands beside it on the supermarket shelf.
It's got great staying power too - the colour doesn't fade or wash out for me, which means touch ups are a mess free breeze (because I'm only using a tiny amount of the mixed dye and only applying it to the roots = so no splash off or messy transfer).
I haven't had any allergic or other reactions to the ingredients and my skin type is sensitive.
Frankly, I think this budget buster just shows how much profit some of the other companies are making off our desire to look and feel terrific...
Tips: Once you've done a full head colour for root touch ups try using a little ceramic bowl and a plastic comb to combine and apply just a quarter (or less as needed) of the two colouring compounds.
Of course you will only need the same portion of the neutralising/setting conditioner too.
Because Napro has such fantastic staying power I don't recommend applying to previously coloured sections of the hair too often - that colour buildup is what sometimes gives away the home beauty hair colourist : )
I love this product. I never get any allergic reactions to it and have used it time and time again. It always gives a natural colour and doesn't fade or wash out over time, no matter how many times I wash my hair. It lasts a long time and does give my hair a nice shine, though the intensity of the shine sometimes depends on my shampoo or other hair products I use. It's something I would definitely use again.
I have really thick hair and need two boxes of hair dye. I love napro because I can get two boxes for the price of one box of any other brand! I have tried 3 or 4 of the colours and I have loved the results every time. Napro is my product of choice both for the price and the quality
This product is really good for the price of it. I purchase it in black1-0 every 3 weeks to do my regrowth.
The texture of the dye is great not too runny and easy to apply. The grey coverage is fantastic too! Unfortunately I was blessed with greys from the early age of 17.
Takes a little bit of effort to wash it out completely but still worth it.
I love this because its one of the only supermarket dyes that doesn't cling to my face and scalp.I don't seem to get the obvious 'colored your hair' look .
I haven't had any problems with fading at all. Will continue purchasing
Tips: Vaseline around your hairline and ears
I have used different brands in the past but I think the main issue for people is getting the right colour for their hair and this one does that for me! I buy "Chocolate Brown" and it covers the few grey hairs I now have and the colour will last me approximately 8 weeks. The conditioner that comes with the application smells divine and works a treat. Apart from having the right colour for me - I simple love the price!!!! Most times I buy this product for about $10.00 and easy for me to apply it myself, wait 40 minutes, rinse and condition and then I am done!
Great cheap way to colour your hair on a small budget and conditioner smells nice colour lasts a while great to use for the kids as well
