The packaging looks good and it was free from nasties, which was great as I have allergies which means that most permanent colour I cannot use.
My natural hair colour is more white than grey and I have short hair. This provided more than enough for short hair. It was easy to apply and I left it on for the correct amount of time and followed all of the instructions. My husband loved the colour and it did look good. It covered well and looked natural, but as I wash my hair frequently I am unsure as to whether it would last the full 28 washes, although so far so good. It has definitely lasted longer than other brands that I have used. I also usually leave a semi permanent colour on for longer than it says so would consider doing this next time.
Great value for money and will definitely use this again. Well worth the money.
I found this to be more colour enchanting rather than changing - added a bit of brightness to my medium/dark blonde hair and left it looking less flat/dull which was exactly what I was hoping for.
It was easy to use, fairly light consistency and while it had the typical hair dye smell it wasn’t as strong as other brands and didn’t bother me at all. I can’t comment on how long it will last as I have only washed my hair once since but after that one wash I don’t see any fading yet.
My one complaint is (and this is typical of most box dyes) - not enough product. My hair is not even at my shoulders and one box was not enough - I ended up applying to the top half of my hair first and so the bottom layer is quite patchy as there just wasn’t enough product. Because the colour is so close to my hair colour anyway and it’s the bottom half you can’t tell at all. I just find this disappointing as it means you need to buy two boxes (maybe three for long hair) which makes it pricey.
Tips: If your hair is at shoulder length and not super fine you will likely need more than one box.
