I am one of the unfortunate ones with an oily scalp and extremely dry, frizzy and thin hair (trust me it is not a good combination). I wanted to try this shampoo as it promised to be SLS and paraben free and claimed to be organic. I ended up in a worse state with my hair after using this. I persistently tried using this a couple of times as I believed that my hair and scalp should take some time to get used to using this shampoo, but I was really wrong and disappointed. Definitely wouldn't buy this again if I want to maintain what's left pf my hair

I was quite excited to try this product as it doesn't have SLS in it and is so reasonably priced. The scent isn't very strong compared to other shampoos, which I quite liked. It also lathers quite well for a product without SLS in it. I initially found it really good as it left my hair feeling soft and clean so I bought it again. However the more I use it the less of an effect it has on my hair. It leaves it looking dry and lifeless. I'll probably keep using it occasionally until I find something else that doesn't contain SLS and doesn't cost the earth but I won't be using it every time I was my hair.
I started using this after finding it at the supermarket, it was one of the first non paraben products around that was affordablev set around $5 your the generous sized bottle. The shampoo itself is adequate, didn't cause any breakouts or irritations and gave a nice lather. It has a clear gel texture, and smells Herby but doesn't have an over powering scent. What sent me to try other products in the end was the packaging. You can't see how much is in the bottle, and once the lid has been opened the first time, it is virtually impossible to click it shut again. These are somewhat irrelevant to the product performance but it irritated me enough to try something else, and then I didn't go back to this range. If they improved the bottle I'd buy it again.
This shampoo is a thick gel consistency, with a mild smell, that lathers reasonably well in your hair. It's the SLS in shampoo that generally creates the good lather, but SLS isn't great for you. Being natural, this brand doesn't have any SLS in it, so I was quite presently surprised by how well it lathered.
It left my hair feeling quite soft for a shampoo (but still needing conditioner) and not knotty or frizzy. It cleans well and removes the product buildup from my hair.
It's available at the supermarket, which I think is great. The fewer errands I have to run, the better! It's also very affordable, especially given that it is natural and organic, which often seems to have a premium attached to it.
I would buy this again and maybe try some of the other shampoo/conditioner combos in the line.
Tips: You don't need much as the gel is quite thick and lathers up well.
I started using this shampoo as it was one of the only shampoos in the supermarket that doesn’t have SLS in it (which a hair specialist told me was the reason so much of my hair was falling out). It initially worked well but then after a couple weeks I started getting dandruff. Since finding a new shampoo I don’t have dandruff anymore so I have put it down to this shampoo. I do however still use the conditioner.
I used this as I can sometimes get an itchy and sensitive scalp, and I thought this would help. I found that wasn't entirely successful at cleaning my hair and scalp, but I still have a sensitive scalp. However, I still haven't found the holy grail so I will probably stick with this for now. The formulation is mildly lathering, probably because it doesn't contain SLS, and feels like a gel.
Purchased this for two reasons. 1. the price was great and 2. organic - cool. It comes up a good size container and is easy to get it out. Its a nice gel-like texture but I found it really hard to get foamed up. I tried the shampoo twice and condition once thing a couple of times and the second shampoo it foamed more but I'm a busy person I have kids yelling through the bathroom door. Not sure how to describe the smell except for maybe cheap.. which it is, so that's fine. My hair is oily so I wanted to balance it out just a little. All of a sudden my hair got super flaky, I'm not prone to dandruff, never have been so I thought ok maybe its going through a stage. it got worse the longer I used this shampoo so evidently I stopped. It never gave me that good clean feel. Not for me unfortunately, not even using the remaining as a bubble bath for the kids.
My partner and I both experience dryness - he has a really dry scalp and my hair is dry and lifeless! I took to the BR forum a while ago and asked for recommendations. So many people recommended this and recommended coconut oil - as most of the ingredients in this shampoo come from coconuts I figured this ticked both boxes!
I am absolutely stoked with this product! After only a couple of uses, we are BOTH experiencing a total turn around in hair and scalp condition. For my partner, he has tried everything under the sun to help with his dry scalp (dandruff shampoo - including really expensive treatments included) so he's absolutely amazed with my BR investigation skills! I was so close to forking out the big bucks for something that would help him out. For me, it's like I've done a home hair mask! Incredible. For us, obviously our hair and scalp were not reacting well to the sulphates that you find in other products so I'm very happy that this has worked for us!
For a product that I picked up from Pak'n'save for $4.99, I really couldn't ask for anything better! And the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. I might even go for a coconut oil treatment as well now that I know that it really does work! A+++!
My hair was quite dry so I was drawn to the fact that it was organic meaning no nasty extra chemicals. But I was disappointed that it seemed to dry my hair out even more after a few weeks use . I haven't brought this product again and I don't thin I will again . It removed The oil from my scalp but that was the only positive . It doesn't smell amazing which was another let down
I used to use this as my go to for curly hair, it was fantastic. Smell wasn't too strong, a little went a long way and left my hair feeling great. Sadly where I live I can't find it anymore. It was a great product!
