Redken Smooth Lock Shampoo Review

About three years ago, my hairdresser recommended I try this shampoo as I have very thick and curly hair. I loved it straight away and have been using it and the matching conditioner ever since. I have had so many comments about the fragrance ...it does smell so Devine. One of the things I like is that you only use a small amount to get a good coverage and lather, so it lasts a long time, about six months for me. I have tried all the shampoos available in the supermarket in the past but this one is just perfect!

My hair is extremely thick, ocassionally frizzy and rather curly but i like to wear it straight. Redken Smooth Lock Shampoo and Conditioner not only smells amazing but also does exactly what it says and smooths the hair cuticle leaving it smooth, silky and shiny. Whenever i splurge on shampoo and conditioner i will often pop down to the nearest redken stockist and pick out these bad boys. 10/10 product.

A off brown bottle with a flip top lid plain and not overly attractive, this used to be called "smooth down" Shampoo is a mid range pearlised colour with a fragrance of oranges and chocolate a mild scent that tends to linger. This I found to be a low foaming shampoo that on application my hair just seemed to drop and relax and lost all its volume in the wash, but soft and clean and not a big mat of tangled hair. Just the shampoo alone made my hair feel great and not striped and squeaky clean but soft and clean, my scalp also felt good not dry or tight. Washing my hair in this shampoo I had way less frizz, tangle free and sleeker hair that was really easy to straighten. It's sort of like to having a protective coating on my hair maybe the almond nut oil in it. The down side I'm not left with any volume, I did however get smoother and softer hair. I do like this range I find it mid range price wise and good value if you need a shampoo to smooth and stop the frizz especially if you have humidity hating hair and really need help to get the tongs through easier.
