L'Oréal Paris ELVIVE Fibralogy Conditioner Review

I was super excited to be chosen for the Fibralogy review as my hair is fine and straight and in my opinion a bit boring - and I was very keen to do something about that. I have only used the Fibralogy Conditioner together with the Fibralogy Shampoo, so I am not certain if it would have any effect on hair thickness on its own, but it definitely made my hair nice and soft as you would expect from a conditioner. Using the conditioner together with the Shampoo gave my hair a more "alive" look than it's usual dead straight and flat appearance. I would recommend to anyone with thin or fine hair to give it a go and see how it works for them.

This product smelled nice, was nice and thick and left my relatively undamaged hair in good condition. I wouldn't say it thickened my hair and if your hair is damaged in any way I don't think it conditions well enough to counter that. I don't think it's any better than any other conditioner I have tried and I probably wouldn't buy it again.

I feel like I'm repeating a lot of things from my review of the matching shampoo, but it has a really nice smell that lingers softly in your hair and sleek packaging.

In terms of the actual product, I was a little disappointed. I was expecting it to really smooth out and shine up my hair since the shampoo had done all the nourishing and thickening. Its best result is shine, I guess. There was slight shine, but you needed to comb and blow dry your hair a lot (and I have long hair, so this took ages).

Like the shampoo, I think it's rather drying, perhaps even more so. I definitely think it was aggravating the dandruff situation that started off from using the shampoo (for a week I neglected the conditioner because I felt lazy and the dandruff was less but still there). Maybe this is because I have sensitive skin and so am especially sensitive to drying products, but I think it's worth mentioning.

I'm not sure how I feel about this. It makes my hair so much thicker and soft which is what it is supposed to do which is great but it also makes my hair really tangly. It smells devine. You only need the smallest amount to condition your hair with a little goes a long way which makes the product last that much longer.

My hair was surprisingly shiny and smooth after using this product, I was really impressed! My hair smelt good, looked good and felt good. I really like the fact that this is an affordable and quality product. I also found that you hardly had to use much conditioner, it spread really well and conditioned evenly.

I am always desperate to find a good thickening shampoo/conditioner because my magic mirror tells me I have the flattest finest hair in all the land. I'd been using a different thickening shampoo/conditioner duo for a while and my hairdresser told me that I had a dry scalp that was probably due to my shampoo/conditioner.

Most thickening products deprive your scalp of moisture because moisturising products weigh down the hair and volumising / thickening products aim to lift it. This was exactly the case with this conditioner, I'm now using a Head and Shoulders scalp care shampoo to repair the damage. As for thickening? My hair was not visibly thicker after use.

On a positive note, the conditioner smells like a tropical holiday and the smell lingers which is lovely :)

Suffering throughout life with thin and flyaway hair has seen me through my fair share of thickening conditioners and I either found them to be too heavy or they just roughed up the cuticle and left me with thicker yet more flyaway and damaged hair. I would also like to add in that I have bleached, mid length hair. I found this to be the best thickening conditioner that I have used. On first impression the generous 250ml bottle is very eye catching and it has an easy to open pop flap. The product was very easy to dispense into my hand and it felt thick and luxurious in my hand. It has a very pleasant smell that is not overpowering. I found a two dollar-sized dollop rubbed between my palms and then through my hair was plenty. I left it for a minute or so and rinsed. It was very easy to put. Through my hair and easy to rinse. My. Hair after rinsing felt soft and. The hair cuticle smoothed. After my usual blow dry and straightening tong routine I was thrilled to find that my hair was soft without being weighed down and felt noticeably thicker without being knotty or frizzy looking. During the day my hair got less tangled and maintained it's volume and appearance. I also found the next day that it still seemed very fresh which is great because I often have to wash my hair daily because of oiliness but I didn' t experience oily roots until day three. I will definitely be using this product again and again! So to put it all into one sentence I would say that I am sold!

I have been loving this conditioner ! it has left my hair feeling so smooth and smelling great until the next wash. I have noticed a little bit of extra volume but not as much as i had expected from this product. overall though i have loved using this as a general conditioner

I was more pleased with this conditioner than I was with the Fibralogy shampoo. Again, it contains Filloxane, which I believe through a bit of research is the same type of thing as window sealant used to repair car windows. However, although that sounds scary I couldn't find too much saying that it was bad for your hair. This conditioner is extremely thick, making it feel very nourishing and also like it is more likely to thicken the hair. Using this, after about a week I noticed my hair had more volume, and also using a protein mask after a week helped boost the volume further, which the mask has never done by itself before. The scent of this conditioner is different to the shampoo, it is more mild and generic. I also used this conditioner in the second week using the co-washing method (washing using only conditioner) and it worked just as well as with the shampoo. I almost found my hair felt better when I wasn't using the shampoo, and it kept the volume it had gained. I would definitely use this conditioner again, although it didn't give as much volume and thickness as I hoped. I assume using the Fibralogy serum is what gives the most thickness. It was still just a very nice, moisturising conditioner that gave a little bit of volume, so I think it is worth buying again.

My hair is fine and limp and has been falling out the past few months...... was excited to see this new product and try it out. You don't need to use too much it lathers up really well and has a pleasant scent. One thing I really liked about this product is I only needed to wash my hair every few days rather than every couple of days, it left my hair feeling soft and not oily. Possibly a little dry - I have since seen there is a serum you can use after washing that I would like to give a try to see if this makes the ends feel a little less dry. When I dried my hair with a hair dryer it really did feel like it had a lot more volume and did for days. Other products only make my hair feel like that for a day and as soon as I sleep on it it flattens it again - not this product! Very impressed and I am very eager to go out and try the third step - the serum now.
