Tips: to get the purple stain out use baking soda.
This is my go to product for my blonde hair. I use this every few weeks to make sure my colour stays nice and has no brassy tones to it. Its a lot stronger pigment then some of the other ones out there so it really works. Would recommend to all blondes
Tips: Its very purple and can stain your hands. Would be a good idea to use rubber gloves to protect your hands. I only leave mine in for 1 min as it is very strong.
I have a love hate relationship with blonde hair. I always swap from one extreme to the other. As you can imagine that leaves my hair pretty damaged. This shampoo is AMAZING. It helps keep the brassy tones out of my hair and leaves it feeling soft and nice. Plus it smells so so good. I kinda like the slight purple tinge it leaves your hair (much more than the brassy tone anyway!)
Tips: For an intense treatment, put in hair dry and leave in for 30 mins then rinse out :)
So glad to have finally found this product! I was lucky enough to be given a 1L bottle for my birthday, and I was desperate to give it a try on my hair. I had DIY ombre'd my hair, with dark ash blonde roots to a nice platinum finish on the ends. Over time my ends became very brassy and yellow and ew. I applied this shampoo on my dry hair for the first application and left on for two minutes. I noticed quite a difference after this application, most of the ends of my hair had turned a beautiful platinum blonde but it was not consistant (I think this is due to my terrible patchy application ) lol. I have since used this shampoo about 5 times and my hair is gorgeous! No brassy tones to be seen and I look forward to being able to use this in the future to prevent my hair turning brassy :)
Tips: Leave in for a few minutes, but not too long or it may stain your hair :)
I bought this shampoo based off the reviews below and friend recommendations. I checked out reviews for Lee Statford and John Frieda's purple shampoo's too as well as a few brands not on this site. Out of every review I looked at (and there were lots) this shampoo was the only one that had no negative reviews.
As a shampoo it doesn't tangle like other shampoo's are known to do and it does take out yellow tones, but it only lasts a day or two then I have to do it all over again.
Two things that a lot of people talk about is it turning your hair purple and the smell.
I think the smell is ok, but not amazing.
The purple hair however I have experimented with. I was very careful to only have the shampoo in for about 5 minutes when I first got the shampoo, but the effect didn't last long. So I have experimented with having the shampoo in for up to 4 hours. At 4 hours the whitest blond hairs get a very light lavender tinge, otherwise it stays blonde.
Because the cheapest I could find this shampoo for was $23, I think next time I would consider trying a cheaper shampoo in comparision, but this one does do the job.
One day at work we had a quiet day and had a bright idea to turn my hair from dark brown (natural) to white bleach blond. So as you can in again my hair was quite damaged. I liked how it comes out of the tube very easily and you only need a very tiny amount. This product was amazing for maintaining my amazing white colour that I loved and also left my hair feeling really soft (considering what it had just been though) , it's definatly a must have when wanting to maintain blond hair
Tips: Be careful with your really damaged parts of hair as the "violet" colour will tend to grab more than other areas and you may be left with violet parts
I died my hair a light blonde and it went bright yellow. It was so horrible and gross. I got recommend this by a friend. I loved it after a few washes the yellow started to go. The only thing I didn't like with this shampoo is that my scalp went a bit purple. I love using this because it works the exact same as some more expensive ones. I love this. You don't need a lot of it so its lasts quite a while as well. I use it when my hair is starting to look brassy or yellow, I just put a small squeeze of the shampoo in my hand about the size of a 10 cent coin and get some of my normal shampoo and mix them together. I love this and would so buy this again.
This shampoo is amazing! It helped reduce the yellow tones in my hair when it was blonde and also smells fantastic. It is one of the best purple shampoos I've used. While it is a bit pricey, it is worth it as you don't need to use it for every wash. Depending on the amount of yellow in your hair, you should only need to use a small amount of this at a time.
This shampoo works great for my hair as I have that unwanted golden tinge to my blonde hair. The colour of this shampoo is amazing and sometimes leaves a purple tinge to my hair which I don't mind at all, as the brassiness is gone! This shampoo I find dries my hair out if I use it too often so I use it every 2nd wash.
Recently I have been visiting a salon every couple of months (Ive done this twice so far) to lighten my hair from dark brown to blonde.
My first visit, I got a full head of highlights and a toner put through it all to bring it to a nice dark blonde with ashy highlights. I used this shampoo (and also conditioner) for majority of washes, and my hair lightened and toned up to a nice bright and shiny blonde, it definitely took away any brassy colours that were present, most noticeable after three washes. The next visit, I had a similar thing, but in a balayage/ombre style. Once again I turned to Fudge and this stuff worked on the first wash. It truly is my holy grail. I live by this stuff, and will continue to wash my hair with this.
Tips: Definitely rinse your hands after putting this through your hair, or you get purple hands :P
