This is definitely my favourite Ethique shampoo bar. I found it to be the one that really feels like you are getting product onto your hair without having to stroke a million times. It's creamy and leaves my hair feeling amazing. You don't need to have curly hair to enjoy this one!

Tips: Store outside of the shower (I put mine on the window sill) so that it dries properly in between uses. It will last much longer that way!
My hair itself is so hard to manage to get all the oil and dirt off my scalp pass my curly afro hair, but this bar shampoo is absolutely amazing for me personally! I thought I might have trouble but it lathered nicely though I would say it gave me less washes than it said on the packaging but it is worth it for fresh clean hair.
Tips: Try the sample pack/mini size as well as a soup try with good drainage.
I won a bar of this Ethique solid shampoo in an online competition a few years ago, and I used it even though I do not have frizzy or curly hair. This was the first time that I used solid shampoo, or really any solid personal care product other than soap or a standard deodorant stick. I was immediately won over by how easy it is to use this solid shampoo, and then even more so when I realised how long it lasted. Ethique products are not cheap, but a shampoo bar lasts a long time, so they are definitely worth it. The box the bars come in is home compostable, and it has just the right size for the bars, no unnecessary packaging. I do not know if this shampoo really works to reduce frizz, but I can confirm that it cleans long hair very nicely, and it leaves my hair shiny and light. I do not use conditioner as I feel it’s not necessary when you have the right shampoo, and Ethique shampoos are definitely right for me. I am so pleased that Ethique products are now on Beauty Review as I have been using them for years and they are some of my go-to products for shampoo, shower gel, and deodorant. I have tested my way through a large part of their range, and will be writing more reviews. I also own two of the in-shower containers, and they are super convenient for bar storage. They are also made of bamboo and corn starch, rather than plastic, and are therefore biodegradable. I highly recommend trying out the Ethique products, and I find the little sampler packs are ideal for that!
Tips: Try the sample pack and see what you like!
I use it with the ethique conditioner bar amd it leaves my hair so smooth and nice. I really love this product. It lathers up really well and smells nice too.
Tips: Make sure you buy a good container to keep it in for in between washes as it needs to dry out each time.
I have LOVED trying out the Ethique bars as part of our waste free movement.
I was super nervous as I have quite long hair and it doesn't foam up as I am used to, but it has done such an amazing job!
I do tend to lather it in my hand a bit and rub it on my head, but running the bar from the top of your head to the tips works really well as well.
I have thin blonde hair that has a tendency to be frizzy at the ends, and this was AMAZING. My hair stayed cleaner for longer, and was so much more manageable! Highly recommend!!
After purchasing the sample kit i decided my hair liked this shampoo bar the best. My hair is naturally brown and I get highlights in which can make the hair fragile and frizzy. Since using this product i have noticed a huge difference in my hair, i really do think this helps tame all the little fly aways. I would never go back to normal liquid shampoo.
Tips: I pair this with the Wonderbar conditioner
As you would guess, this bar is designed for dry or frizzy hair much like my own. In using this produce, my hair feels amazingly clean yet it doesn’t strip away the natural oil. It doesn’t feel dry or dull like regular shampoo and it is left feeling oh so soft! Seriously. People have taken to touching my hair because “it looks so soft”. I even have some shine back to my hair and I’m guessing it’s because this “no nasties” product isn’t stripping out all of the good natural oils. I am also loving this shampoo as it doesn't weigh down my super fine hair - occasionally coconut-based products do this to my hair but I haven't found this to be an issue with Ethique.
It has a subtle scent; lightly coconut. Considering this product is made from coconut and cocoa butter this makes perfect sense. The packaging is simple and environmentally friendly. I did have worries about storing this product so it lasts longer and doesn't make a mess in the shower. I have ended up using a soap dish outside of the shower to hopefully make this product last as long as possible.
I am loving this product! My scalp tends to get a tad sensitive and during those times this doesn’t irritate my skin at all. This is probably my favourite shampoo I have tried in a long time! I am already looking at their other shampoo bars to try more!
Tips: Rub directly onto your hair (or on your hands to then rub onto you hair). Lathers up nicely!
Store outside of the shower to make this last longer.
I had high hopes for all the Ethique Hair Products and they really do live up to the reviews! But not if you have Coloured Red Hair , especially vivids.
The bar is super easy to hold in your hand and sort of scrub into your wet hair , they kind of lather the first pass , I find it best to sort of make a grid on your head and scrub the bar not so much on top of your but under neath it. So pick your locks up and scrub into the scalp . Then the lather starts to get going . The bars really last well if you keep them out of the shower . My hair was very clean and shiny after . Unfortunately none of the Ethique Shampoo bars are good with coloured red hair , one wash and it really faded my hair . I have tried every Ethique Shampoo as well
Tips: At first you might not get lather but keep trying and you will
