I was excited to try this as I love to have silky, shiny hair....but it did not really make much of a difference. I certainly did not get the brilliant shine like it said. Perhaps my hair is just too damaged for this particular shampoo as my best friend loves it.
It does have a great scent and lathers up really well but that is as far as it goes for me unfortunately.
I will continue to use up the bottle but would not repurchase. Definately a lot better supermarket shampoos out there that make your hair look great.
I'm one of those people who has a lot of trouble finding a good shampoo/conditioner that works well on their hair without irritating their scalp. My hair is dry, especially at the ends, with an oily scalp and I generally get frizz around the sides and back of my hair above my ears.
I used to use this shampoo and conditioner off and on during the cooler months as it gave me moisturized shiny hair with body, less frizz, and few side effects. Unfortunately, the new formula leaves me with limp, weak hair with flyaway ends and leaves a strange coating on my scalp and roots which I think may be from the glycerin. The new formula gave me some slight shine, but it just looked like naturally healthy limp hair instead of the incredible moisturized shine and body I used to get from the old formula. It also made my hair oilier. I noticed my hair needing to be washed again within 12 hours in addition to making my scalp incredibly itchy once my scalp got oily. I think the itching may have been caused by the intense fragrance in this product. I won't repurchase this, and I think after the reformulation I'd seriously second-guess buying any of the Sunsilk formulas now.
Tips: If you have dry, frizzy hair, try something else like Garnier Fructis Nutri-Repair 3 or Tresemme Salon Silk No Frizz instead.
