This product smells nice but has a very runny texture which I found made it difficult to apply evenly. If I put this in my hair without it being straightened I found it felt a bit greasy for a while and didn't do much to protect my hair against humidity. It did help my hair a little when straightened but not enough to justify purchasing again, that could be to do with my hair type maybe? I have very thick, colour treated hair which at the time of using this product was around shoulder length.

I didnt like this product. It felt quite slimy and gloopy going on and even though I didnt use much it felt like a lot. I cant say I noticed much of a difference with it on my hair though. I tried using it on towel dried hair then styling and used it after straightening as more of a balm but I didnt notice any difference in the humid heat. My hair still frizzed after a few hours.
I loved the promises of keeping my dry and frizzy hair tame for 24 hours and that my hair would be soft and silky while use this... But sadly thats all they were... promises.
The gel/creme/whatever it is is sticky and feel like slime when you rub into hands and apply to your hair. I applied to the bottom of my hair avoiding the roots as i was scared it would make my oily. After applying to blow dried hair, I blow dried and flat ironed again just to make sure it would "sink" into my hair. I applied no other products so I could isolate the testing of the creme.
Oh my, not even a few minutes, my hair was bushy, kinky, frizzy and it went straight into a bun. I've used this once and still have a full bottle that will never be used again.
The only thing I enjoyed about the creme is the smell, lovely and clean but thats where it ends for me.
After seeing this product on TV, I went out to buy some as my hair can get pretty frizzy when it's wet or humid. To begin with, it kept my hair flat and it smelt nice, but after an hour or so, my hair felt like straw and the frizz was beginning to show.
The price was great, and at the time it was buy one, get one free which was great. But the promises of keeping frizz under control just didn't work. Easy to apply, just need a 50 cent coins worth in your palm, however it leaves your hands feeling very sticky and yuck.
I found this product an unpleasant texture and ineffective. My hair was weighed down, but not any less frizzy. I had to wash it again the next day as it felt greasy and nasty.
I don't know what Sunsilk is doing with their Frizz & Weather Defence formula, but it is certainly not what it used to be. This product smells chemically and has a really weird texture/consistency to the point of being slimy. It's definitely not what it's hyped up to be.
Tips: The advise on the package recommends using in conjunction with the matching shampoo and conditioner; but my advise is don't bother. All of these products made my hair feel like straw.
I hated this product, It felt rather thick and it was sticky in parts of my hair, other products I have never had issues with, but this product I did not like at all. It smelt like chemicals, and did not do a very good job
Pretty bottle, even better smell, such a shame that the actual product is a let down.
The only thing I liked about it was the smell.
It claims to smooth frizz and flyways. All it did was make my hair flat, dull and sticky - in need of a new wash, no frizz control what so ever.
Its a really runny, creamy gel like consistency, which makes it really difficult to distribute evenly onto the hair. I usually like to rub the product between my fingers or hands to add some heat to it and then apply on my hair, and I nearly gagged using this. I can’t even describe how horrible it feels. Icky icky, unpleasant!
It doesn’t really absorb into the hair either. It kind of sits on top, all wet, looking like bird poo. If you try to rub it in, it ends up looking like a wet patch on your head.
Such a shame and such a waste of money. Stay away ladies!
I purchased a bottle from the local supermarket to hold the frizz at bay in the wet weather. It did temporarily as it "literally glued" the curls down, leaving a sticky feel to the hair which I washed out as soon as I got home. I dont think this product is at all successful. Packaging is attractive but product too sticky.
It definitely didn't protect my hair like it claimed it would, but I did notice a difference from straightened to non straightened hair. Applying this product when my hair had been straightened helped maintain the frizz and decrease the appearance of fly aways. But when my hair wasn't straightened, it basically gave my hair the 'wet look' for a short while and that was it.
