Sunsilk Vibrant Colour Protection Conditioner Review

As is my way, I got this on special at the supermarket along with the shampoo. I had foils put into my brunette hair so thought I had better get a special shampoo and conditioner to protect the hair now that it is coloured. The packaging is a nice red bottle, the fragrance is nice, not too strong. I just condition the bottom half of my hair from just above the ears because my scalp tends to get oily. Used about a palmful of conditioner to cover my hair which is just below my shoulders. Easily applied and rinsed out, left my hair smelling lovely, smooth, shiny and nice.

I use Sunsilk's Colour protection conditioner in conjunction with the matching shampoo, which I equally adore. It leaves my hair feeling super soft and healthy. It refreshes my dyed hair and doesn't strip or remove colour. Such a high performing product for a bargain of a price.

I purchased this on special along with the shampoo adds I have bright red hair at the moment and I was willing to try anything that would make my colour last longer. It definatly does work and I can last longer between colour now. The consistency is lovely and thick and a little goes a really long way. I find if I use too much and don't wash it out properly I get a really flaky scalp which is not very enjoyable. After I used this shampo and conditioner my colour lasted longer and my hair was left feeling amazing and soft which I always look for in a conditioner.

I love this shampoo for colour protection as it really does protect my colour and adds a nice healthy shine too which looks and feels really good. My only downside is that if I use after every shampoo my hair feels heavy and a bit greasy which is just not how my hair ever gets so can only be the change of conditioner. I had to mark it down slightly for that reason alone however it does do what it says it should so I use it once a fortnight rather than after every wash.

I had just dyed my hair a beautiful red colour and I needed a shampoo and conditioner with colour protection technology. This was on special and the red containers stood out on the supermarket shelves.

The container is shower friendly with the lid being at the bottom it is easy to get it out once it nears the end.

The conditioner is a nice creamy white texture and is reasonably thick and like the shampoo smells sweet but not over powering. I did go through the conditioner rather quickly within a month as a felt like I needed a descent amount but it did an excellent job at getting the knots out in the shower and allowed me to brush my hair without tugging and pulling. It also helped my hair retain it shine and smoothness once dried. However like the shampoo I felt disappointed that my hair colour seemed to fade quickly and left me wondering if it had any colour protection technology.

I've been using this for a few months as I have recently been a vibrant red & then switched back to Chocolate about 9 weeks ago. I got this in the hope that it would help to prolong the red & I'm too cheap to buy salon Shampoo.

I'm a bit disappointed to be honest but not surprised. I really did expect it to fail on the colour lasting effects- after all it is Sunsilk- I've never experienced miracles from any of their products.

Don't get me wrong here... I'm not bagging Sunsilk. I actually like their products as they're affordable, the Shampoo & Conditioners always smell lovely & they do a good job of cleaning my hair, they just don't deliver on the particulars like lasting colour or longer & stronger hair...

The product is fairly standard Conditioner consistency. You don't need heaps of it to get good coverage. It washes out easily, leaving my hair somewhat soft & it doesn't stick to my skin too much. The bottle is a good size, easy to hold, I would just prefer a flat lid as this one is angled and you can't sit it upside down.
