Mita TanglePro 3D Detangling Brush - Purse Size Review

Was looking forward to giving this a go. My 4 year old acts like she is being murdered every time I approach with a brush in hand.

It arrived and I was surprised at how light it was. It’s small enough to fit in your bag and being so light won’t weigh your bag down. It has a spiral shaped base with ‘air vents’. The inner bits of the spiral bend. I suppose so they move with the shape of your scalp!?

I told my girl that this was a new brush and would t hurt. The first stroke had her screaming. (Now I’m not a monster - I am gentle!). She has fine hair but ALOT of it. And it can tangle easily. It felt flimsy in her hair and I don’t think it made brushing her hair any easier. I was a bit disappointed.

Mita TanglePro 3D Detangling Brush (purse size) claims that it has a “flexible base to mould to the shape of your scalp”. Incorrect. The brush is plastic, the entire brush. Solid, not flexible. There’s nothing really different with this brush than any other run of the mill hairbrush. The bristles are very thin and pliable, so I can understand how this would help reduce hair breakage. However, if you have thick hair then this brush is definitely not for you, I can’t get it through my daughter’s hair at all.

I tried getting a little creative and took the brush into the shower to use during conditioning of my hair, this did prove to be quite effective. It managed to painlessly remove a lot of my dead/broken hair and my hair was lovely and smooth afterwards. Other than the convenient size, I’m not seeing anything spectacular about the TanglePro 3D Detangling brush.

I was selected to review this hairbrush, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to buy this specific brush out of my own pocket. Although I do use a few other Mita products, which are great. This particular product however simply doesn’t have me sold on what it’s claiming to do.

It’s not a win from me this time Mita.

This is one thing I really wanted to get my hands on in the vault as the reviews were so good.

It is quite small and a little flimsy. I do however like the cool pattern on it. I tie my hair up for work and some mornings I don't even brush it I just throw it in a quick messy bun if I am running late so as you can imagine my hair can be a knotty mess when it comes to wash day.

I thought it would be a great test for this brush. The brush struggled for sure. It really wasn't any quicker than using my normal brush and it snagged and tugged like usual. So that was a fail. Next I used it on freshly washed hair, meh it did an ok job but once again just like my normal brush would.

Perhaps my hair is far too long or thick. But for me this is not a wow product and not something I would rave about.  I will alternate between brushes and just use whatever I grab. Not an exciting brush for me.

I used this for myself and my daughter, we have 2 different hair types. I have think heavy wavy hair - I found it great on my hair, really light, a little flimsy but to be expected a bit on a purse size brush. My daughter has long fluffy hair, really fine but alot of it. wasn't so good for her hair. It didnt cut through the knots when it was dry as easily as it did mine. But I still really liked the product over all, it definitely has it's place and I am really happy for this to keep at work, in my car etc.

When I was selected to review this product I was excited to see how it worked on different hair types, as I have thicker hair and my kids have thinner hair. I found it did an awesome job in their thinner hair. Took the knots away with out any pulling, and my son especially enjoyed the head massages. As for my thick mop. I was surprised it made it through my hair at all. The needles I thought may break as they felt too soft to make it through it. But this tiny brush held it's own. I'm still unsure if I like it or not for my hair. But have definitely claimed it as the 'kids brush'. Nice handy size, looks stylish and does the job which is the main thing. I do think it is a wee bit overpriced.

I love this little brush but 2 of my 3 girls don't. I think it is great for thick hair but on fine hair not so much.

Starting at the beginning: the packaging was ok, especially for the low price ($9.99). Basic cardboard with brush attached by zip ties, not fancy and nothing making it stand out.

The brush is black and nice and light, would fit into a handbag, so good for taking out and about.

The bristles are fine and placed wide apart and I love the pattern the empty area makes. Two of my girls have very fine hair and the brush works ok for them although they say it hurts and I do find their hair doesn't always look like it has been brushed properly due to how far apart the bristles are.

Myself and my oldest daughter have quick thick hair and we both love it. Brushes out knots without too much pain and a lot less effort than other brushes to.

Yes I would recommend this brush for thick hair, it is quick and easy to detangle hair, but wouldn't recommend as highly for thin hair as a second brush or comb is required to make hair look like ir has been brush, yes it detangles the knots but doesn't look like it has been brushed.

Was quite excited to review this brush as I'm a bit over my tangle teeze brush. Firstly when it arrived i was like woo funky looking 3d puzzle type brush but what got me was the great size and how light it is. It has a nice moulded fit into your hand and its correct with the claim its purse size cos it is. I decide to use it in the shower as I've got curly hair and my hairdresser advised me to comb or use a detangle brush to comb the conditioner through otherwise if i brush with a normal brush its going to make my hair frizzer. Anyway i use it in the shower and i was like nah this isn't working as it feels too gentle, its soft on my head and im not getting heaps of strands in the brush. How wrong was i!!! It was working just a lot gentler than the other tangle brush i have. Ive kept using it and what i love about it is that it is gentle its a good size and its not pulling out nearly as many hairs. Also it drys if i leave it in the shower unlike the other one which fills up with water and im sure is mouldy inside!! Thanks BR ive a great brush perfect for the shower now and a bonus head massager - well a gentle one :)

Thanks Beauty Review for giving me the opportunity to try this brush out. I have to admit when it first arrived I didn’t hold out much hope that it would de tangle my hair but oh I was definitely wrong. It is a lightweight black plastic hair brush that looks like any other hair brush you might find at the pharmacy except that it has 2 large vents through the middle of it. The bristles are quite flexible so I’m not sure how it would work on really thick hair. I have very thin hair and this brush just glided through my hair just like a more expensive tangle brush would. It has a contoured shape which almost massages the scalp at the same time as brushing and works beautifully on wet and dry hair. My favourite thing about this brush is how easy it is to clean because of the vents. I hate loose hair in my brushes but never managed to get all the hair out after each use until I received this one. It literally just comes out of the brush with one hand so it looks clean after every use. This is my new favourite hair tool and would definitely recommend to anyone with finer or less thick hair. I would have given it 5 stars in each category but because it is more of a travel brush it may not be big enough for someone with a lot of hair. This little brush is just so cute! I received it in a subscription box and it was a welcome hair care tool. The size is perfect to pop in your handbag or bag ( I like to take it with me for when I may need it during the day).

The black design and pattern is stylish. I have long thick hair and it works well for me to brush my hair and get rid of the knots.

However, I do find my daughter prefers the normal tangle teezer that is round and it takes out the tangles easier.

But I do really like this travel sized beush for the convenience and design it has for me. A great little brush that is so handy.
