I will admit I was sceptical about how this brush was going to live up to what it said it would do, but it did and more! As soon as I put the brush through my hair the bristles got to my scalp and had the perfect pressure. My hair is pretty knotty and this just got through the tangles effortlessly, I love this brush! It felt like it was getting right to my scalp and distributing any oils through my hair and to be honest my hair seemed less frizzy and a lot easier to manage. I tried this on both my dry hair and wet hair and it worked either way. I will be recommending this to everyone and I will continue to use it every, single, day!

Tips: Even though I trialed the purse size I felt like it was a perfect size.
My daughter has long, fine hair and she can be a pain when we're trying to brush it. Usually I only attempt it when I've applied copious amounts of detangling conditioner.
However, for starters, she was impressed by the design of this brush. The swirly pattern appealed to both her 4 year old sensibilities and mine. The size of the brush was also suitable for her little head.
But the really wonderful thing was that the brush barely caught in her fine hair and it never provoked an 'oww!' In fact, it was so popular that my kids spent the next 20 minutes taking it in turns to play hairdresser.
Cute, convenient size, does a good job with long fine hair and only $10. It's a winner in my books!
Tips: Go with purse size if you're getting it for a kid.
I got this to trial from BR and was super intrigued to see if it was the fix to a problem I've been having.
My hair is long, dyed every couple weeks, super fine and tends to be at least straightened, if not also blown dry, almost every day. I travel a LOT and so am in and out of different routines and products. My usual brush is too big to take in my 'night away case'. So I've started to need a comb and leave in conditioner just to get the tangles out of my hair before I can even start styling it. Long, fine, dyed, and heat styled adds up to some pretty insane tangles, and I wince every time i have to tear one apart.
This is $10 and it worked instantly. Actually feeling a little silly now for not thinking of a detangling brush before - I bought one for my niece and didn't think of it for me!
The oval, curved base contours itself to my head, and the longer bristles flex but still hold firm enough to gently coax the tangles away in -seriously - just a few strokes.
My two points i don't adore are that it could be cuter - the solid black chunk of plastic is a bit dull - and that it's definitely not 'purse sized'. It's smaller than their big one, sure. It's carryon, or overnight bag sized, but my actual 'purse sized' brush is half the size of this. That's being pretty picky though - this is great.
I'll definitely be taking this away with me from now on!
Oh and bonus - it helps with ponytails because by hugging your head it picks up more hair than my paddle brush!
Tips: If your hair is super tangled, just do a small amount at a time, and i find that holding it vertically seems to help too.
Finally a detangling brush that is easy to use and does the job. I have used this on my hair (wet) and my daughters hair (both wet and dry) and we both loved it. My daughter (6) said to me after she used it herself that I made a good choice getting her this brush! So she obviously found it easy to use and effective.
This is by far the best detangle tool I have ever used. My 3 year old daughter usually screams the house down when we try to brush her hair - wet or dry! I told her we had a wonderful new brush to try, and that it was super magic because it would get the knots out without hurting - and now I have lost the brush for ever. Little miss 3 brushes her hair herself - and actually does a proper job, she even brushes mine, correctly! I think the magic is in the flexible head, the thin pins move through your hair easily, but because it only needs a little pressure to flex, it doesn’t scratch through any tangles, and leaves your hair attached to your head instead of pulling it all into the brush. I am now on the lookout for another purse size for miss 8, and a full size one for myself.
Tips: Don’t leave it lying around if you have girls in the house - it’ll be gone before you know it!
I have a 9 year old daughter with lovely long hair which is very fine and this brush worked great for her. Her hair often resembled a nest of knots in the morning as she is a high of a wriggle and with the weather lately, a sweater to. Both these combined together was making for grumpy mornings.
My daughters exact words after using the brush was "wow it doesn't hurt nearly as much and look it's not gone all frizzy"
The brush deals great with knots but doesn't seem to pull on the scalp like a lot if others we have tried. Also as it has reasonably long bristles it doesnt skip over the knots. With some brushes turning her hair into a big ball of frizz that quickly knots again it was great that this produced a smooth result.
The brush although small is still very comfortable to hold with a handle big enough for an adults hand. The bristles are easy to clean with hair pulling off them very easily.
This brush has now found a home in my handbag for use after school and sports when my daughters hair definitely puts it to the test.
Tips: I will be keeping one in my handbag and buying another for my daughters sports bag, a must have for any long haired wild child!
Ok I put my hand up for this as I wanted it for my 6 year old daughter. Her hair is now just below her shoulders (it was down to her waist but she wanted it shorter), but she has quite a lot of hair and it gets sooooooo knotty! Really frustrating as she has a really sensitive scalp and just yelps whenever I brush it and makes me feel really bad.
So the brush arrived - I got the purse size brush and I let my daughter open the package - she was like "ooohhhh it looks weird!" and it did kinda look a bit weird - cool patterns and shape of the brush and the bristles are really long.
So straight away she wanted it off the card and to try it out :) I let her use it herself the first time and I was amazed to hear her say that it definitely was not pulling her hair anywhere near as much as her other brushes! She also said that it didn't really hurt! That's amazing really as I have always had issues brushing her hair :)
I like the size of it, the shape is cool, it's nice and light in your hand and easy to use - and also for our daughter. She doesn't actually mind brushing her hair now, so that's gotta be a huge win!!
I really like this brush, it does what it says it will do and makes brushing easy and almost pain free - I would definitely recommend this brush especially for the kiddies! :)
Tips: Not really just brush away!!
Upon receiving the Mita Detangling Brush Purse size, I noticed on the packaging it said 3D Design, Flexible Base, Mouldable Shape. I thought it seemed interesting. The design of the brush is actually pretty clever. It’s flexible and has a curved shape, I guess for better brushing.
I have been using this brush on my 6year Old daughter. She has beautiful long hair (almost butt length) but it constantly gets knotty. We have tried conditioner, coconut oil, silk pillow cases, other detangling brushes, and it’s still a battle to brush through he knots without her ending in tears.
I am pleased to report, we have had a week of tear free hair brushing, since we have been using the Mita 3D Detangling Brush. There have been some stubborn knots where it pulls and has hurt just a tiny bit. But all in all, my 6 year old no longer complains it hurts, and is no longer in tears. It makes getting ready for school in the morning a breeze, as brushing her hair is quick and pain free!
The way the brush is designed, helps it glide through the hair with ease. It is one clever Detangling Brush. Absolutely recommend. I think I’m even going to purchase the bigger size one. Absolutely amazing!
Tips: Always Brush the ends of the hair first before moving up to the top of the head.
Yay, what a great product to try. I received the purse sized Mita TanglePro 3D Detangling Brush and while it might be smaller in size it is big on usability. The brush is in a matt black with a curved head and a cool swirly design in the head which allows good airflow through the brush if using a hairdryer. The finish is smooth yet almost has a velvet-y feel (not furry at all) which seems to help with grip. When I first opened my parcel my 5 year old daughter was with me and proclaimed I had to try it on her first. With the first swipe through she declared this was "Awesome, and didn't hurt at all", I used it and had to agree. My daughter and I have very different types of hair, mine thin and fine and prone to knots and hers thick and full but also gets loads of tangles. It worked super well for both of us and is now our favourite brush to use despite not being a full sized brush. Wet brush was our favourite but this has been put on the back burner in favour of the TanglePro. Thanks for choosing me for the trial.
Tips: Normally I'd suggest brushing from the ends of the hair and working to the crown but this brush can be swept from crown to ends.
We only received this brush yesterday but it’s demonstrated results super fast as it’s all dependant on brushing alone so no waiting to see results.
Mita are into an affordable winner with this. It’s not often the harshest critic my 4year old is happy after her daily assault with a brush. She refuses a haircut so has never had a trim so has beautiful long hair.. which also leads her to have dry ends that tangle easily. I on the other hand usually mum bun my hair majority of the time and it’s usually a while in between cuts so I am also prone to knots. Also since having kids fallout is next level, so a good brush to make sure I’m not leaving little hairy presents in everyone’s dinner is a must.
This brush is comfortable to use. It feels amazing against the scalp and is the perfect size for me and my mini me to use. It’s definitely not heavy so no sore arms and no hair flipping necessary to make sure you get the brush through.
The bristles are firm but not damaging or painful - they are gentle enough to cut through the hair detangling as it goes. The bristles move through the hair and move with it but not in a snapping/bending way. You do get the snag on a true knot but it can easily be dealt with and it doesn’t cause that snagging that yanks your whole head back. Our old “detangling brush” I now see was more effort than it was worth.
They are slightly longer bristles compared to our old brush but they are still comfortable, flexible and gentle to use. The handle itself seems to have a no slip grip feel which is also handy especially when used in the shower. With a hole on the handle end to hook or add a loop to hang means it doesn’t take up my soap tray in the shower yay!!
It seems well built - our old brush head would come apart when it hit a snag despite being marketed as a “detangler”. This is one piece with individual bristles set into the head.. so easy to clean, perfect for shower use and sturdy. Will drain and dry well in between uses.
I see what they mean about the flexibility - it’s hard to tell when using but the swirls on the head flex and move with brushing actions.. if you give the little swirls a push you see how it can adjust when brushing - if that makes sense. So definitely some movement to give while brushing over knots gently, rather than snagging and tearing. Perfect for wet hair or reducing toddler tantrums.
Fits easily into my handbag and nappy bag but would avoid adding to a clutch or small bag.. it is very light though so easy to take along.
Definitely crushing for this brush - sleek look, price and ease of use are huge benefits. I can’t get over how affordable this is.
Tips: Good toddler size too so they can “brush” their own hair
Good for shower - drains and dries easily
