What really frustrates me is how the ads say about affordable salon used hair care. Any half decent salon would not use it as it is absolute rubbish. It made my hair dry, breaking frizzy so many split ends I was so annoyed because I thought it was good. do not get fooled into their "Professional" hair care. I wouldn't go to any salon that uses this. For the first couple weeks your hair feels good but then you realize after a couple of weeks it is completely stripping your hair and only looks half decent for that day you wash your hair.

I was so excited to try the new TRESemme Split Remedy Shampoo and Conditioner. The bottles look great and the smell is lovely but unfortunately that is where the good comments stop. After washing my hair and towel drying I found my hair to be extremely dry and lifeless. However maybe this type of shampoo and conditioner just doesn't work with my hair as it is long and very blonde. Overall not very impressed and am off to the hairdressers for a hydration treatment.
First impression was oh my gosh this smells amazing, After washing out the shampoo my hair felt "stripped" and horrible so I quickly put the conditioner through which made it feel alot nicer until I got out and my "fly-aways" had almost tripled. I will give it another go, but will make sure im not heading out anywhere afterwards. It really does smell amazing though.
I was very excited when I was chosen to review the Tresemme Split Remedy Shampoo & Conditioner- after all the quest for strong smooth hair with great shine & less splitting is at the top of any girls list isn't it? I straighten my high-lightened hair at least 5 times a week and if I was going to go out & about I usually do an additional "tidy up" with the irons a couple of times during this time,so yes my poor hair gets dry and tortured. .Bottle size is generous although it is very pricey on the supermarket shelf. The scent is pleasant the product looks lovely and thick so I had great hopes it would be beneficial to my locks, After the first use I did notice my hair had more volume than usual & I liked the feel of my hair, I let it dry naturally ( I usually do this, then straighten it) to see how it shaped up..it felt really good when I ran my fingers through my hair and looked shiny but it dried out of control fluffy!! I have to put a lot product into it to gain any control, once I use my straighteners It does become smooth ,not easily though and has more volume However I don't really feel it lives up to the claims made on the label. My hair becomes fluffier & requires longer styling times to straighten and smooth & I have to use more product than usual to keep my hair under control during the day as it's prone to fluff up with "fly a ways" So.. smooth sleek hair isn't one of the benefits for me . Maybe if I used this shampoo and conditioner along with the other products in the Split Remedy Range I would be more impressed but I'm not convinced, I was hoping for hair I could allow to dry naturally that looked smooth sleek and salon fresh with very little effort but am disappointed with the results so far My hair doesn't feel any stronger at this stage but, as its early days I am prepared to continue using it until my next visit to the salon to get a trim It will be very interesting to see if my stylist says the ends are stronger and less split *#..Update on Tresseme Split Remedy Shampoo and Conditioner ..I have totally stopped using it as my hair just became more and more fluffy and out of control I was going through my expensive salon smoothing balm too fast..My tween-aged daughter however seems to really like this product her chemically lightened hair is sleeker and easier for her to style so it does suit different hair types, Guess its trial and error to find out if it suits you
Tips: Tresseme needs to market smaller, cheaper sized bottles for consumers, as it is quite expensive and if it doesn't suit your hair type you're left with these huge bottles
I was really excited to try these products, I'd never tried TRESemme before, but had seen alot of advertisements about it and thought it sounded quite good. It smelt nice, and the conditioner was nice and thick but after drying my hair it honestly felt REALLY dry. This is even with using my own high quality salon leave in products afterwards so I'd hate to think what my hair would have been like without them! I'm sure these products would be good for some hair types but definately not mine, which is bleached and long and needs alot of moisture!
I tried this product after going from expensive shampoos, I loved the smell and the large bottles were a plus. I put the shampoo in and washed it out, my hair felt so dry and straw like. I then tried the conditioner and may have been a little excessive as I was nervous about how dry my hair felt. The conditioner felt good in and washed out fine. I blow dried my hair and had so many fly aways. Much more than normal and I felt the need to use my product in my hair afterwards tomake it feel less dry. I tried the product again 2 days later and had the same results, to be honest I almost feel as though my split ends are worse or maybe the same but certainly not different. The one positive I did think the smell of the products were amazing and I would use the conditioner as a default one when my normal products run out.
I was delightfully surprised at this shampoo and conditioner. I have only used TRESemme once before and it made my hair very oily. This however did not do that, I was able to wash my hair every second day which is better for my hair and I actually don't have many more split ends since I started using it. I usually only ever buy salon brands but have been very happy with the quality and will continue to use this product. As a blonde I don't think I will sway from my salon purple shampoo as my favourite but I do usually have a few other types of shampoo and conditioner in my shower as well and I think this may have found a place in that collection.
Tips: I recommend using the shampoo twice and then conditioning.
Was excited to try this product as it looked great n smelt devine! The conditioner was so velvety n luxurious, and I had high hopes for this product! On the plus side, I usually loose allot of hair when I wash it, this was dramatically reduced after using this product and my hair did feel great afterwards. On the negative side I had so many fly aways that I had to use extra product to style it and keep them under control, which I don't usually have to do. Also, after a day, it feels and looks so dry. So, I got my daughter to try it, and she has beautiful long virgin hair and it worked great for her, reducing the look of her split ends. As I have long, bleached hair, im thinking that the product is more suited to untreated hair. Definitely a little disappointing as I had high hopes for this product.
I have used the shampoo & conditioner 3 times and I'm not very impressed with the results. After every wash my hair felt & looked quite oily and weighed down. I will keep using it to see if there is any improvement to my hair. My hubby likes it though. On the plus side the products smell nice & are in nice big bottles, but this isn't enough to make me recommend it to my friends.
I really didn't enjoy using this shampoo and conditioner as I felt it really stripped my hair and left it feeling drier than it was before using the product. I didn't find it helped my split ends at all or any more than any supermarket type product does. I have not had a good experience with any tresemme product finding them very harsh and sometimes even irritating my scalp (due to drying it out).
Definitely not a product I would recommend to anyone and something I would never repurchase or use again.
