My hair is very fine and long so I struggle to find a shampoo and conditioner that doesnt make my hair greasy. The ends of my hair are very dry and break very easily! So I used the TRESemme Split Remedy Shampoo & Conditioner for 5 washes and I absolutely love it! My ends now look a whole lot healthier however I don't believe that it repairs up to 80% of split ends but it reduces the look of them by that much. You can can only see them if you look very close and they remain hydrated till you next wash. The colour of my hair stands out a lot more as well. The smell is amazing! Thanks Beauty Review NZ for giving me the opportunity for trialing this and I will keep using it!

Tips: When you apply your shampoo massage it lightly with your fingertips instead of using your palms. This reduces the tangling as you may find that the shampoo drys your hair out drastically when you've applied it! Also, before you rinse it out, try to squeeze as much of the foam out as you can because the shampoo is much easier to rinse out this way. When you have squirted the amount of conditioner you need into your palm, rub your palms together as this 'works the formula' and makes it much easier to apply. Concentrate the conditioner from the middle of your hair down because this is where most damage and split ends occur and this means that the conditioner can work more there. Then just rub the excess on the top of your head :)
My first thought before using the shampoo and conditioner was that nothing can "repair" a split end, you get them trimmed off and hope that you find something that will prevent future split ends. But after trying this I'm not so sure now. My hair definitely feels a lot better, the dryness has gone and the ends of my hair no longer feel like straw but I can still spot a lot of split ends. Whether or not this actually helps split ends or helps prevent them from happening, I love how it has made my hair feel after just a weeks worth of use.
Tips: Give it a try if you have dry hair and lots of split ends, even if it doesn't technically "repair" them it seems like it would help prevent more of them.
I was impressed with the lovely light scent and the way the shampoo cleaned my hair. The conditioner was easy to comb thru , it left my hair soft, easy to manage, and my hair appeared smoother after using it. I also liked how the bottles were different colors since I'm short sighted made it really easy to know which one was which. I would definitely use this product again.
So after using this for my trial week, I am quite happy and believe my hair has improved. It smells AMAZING and is very nourishing and hydrating. The first 2 nights I think I put a little too much conditioner through and this resulted in almost oily hair the next day, as I have quite fine hair. The 3rd night onwards, I just put a teeny amount through the ends and everything was fine.
I wouldn't say my splits are completely gone but it has certainly improved the condition of my hair and I swear my hair feels longer (which is a huge thing for me as mine does not grow)!
I always used to believe that TRESemme was an expensive brand, however I was pleasantly surprised to see that it is under $15 for a 739ml bottle, so this is affordable and will last for months!
Overall, a happy camper!
Tips: As mentioned above, I would advise putting less conditioner in otherwise the hair gets too hydrated and this can result in oily looking hair.
I found TreSemme split remedy to be overall beneficial to my hair. I have very frizzy, African type hair which can if be very unhealthy looking if used with the wrong product. Most Shampoos and Conditioners either cause more damage or give me a oily scalp. However, I found when using TRESemme remedy for a two week period my hair was at a balanced, healthy and calm state.
Tips: Give it a try. You will know by the 3rd or 4th wash if this product is right for you.
I wouldn't say it's as good as a salon shampoo as it claims, well it never makes my hair feel like i've just left the hairdressers, BUT there is an outlet near my work that offers it at an amazings price, so I thought i'd try it, it does the job, it stops my flyaways, and it smells delicious, i'm not really too fussy with my shampoo's and conditioners, but would definately use again
I use this product non-stop. I love the thickness of the conditioner! most conditioners are not like this one, and are thin, but not tresemme conditioner, it is thick and lets me run my hands freely thorugh my thick frizzy hair
Tips: leave the conditioner in, while you shave etc, and run a brush through your hair while it is in
This classic duo is something I would buy if nothing else at the store jumped out at me. Its moisturizing and smells good too!
I actually really enjoyed this combination as I also got the TRESSemme hair serum too. I found that the shampoo wasn't harsh but very cleansing and the conditioner although very creamy (I didn't feel like I needed to use too much to have a silky feeling) I didn't need to use too much.
First impressions are definitely a delicious smell and if that is something you look for in hair products then this is a huge plus.
I allowed the products a little bit of benefit of the doubt and tried to avoid as many known attributes to drying out and splitting ends as I could, such as not using hot irons in my hair. I did notice my hair was a lot smoother and less fly aways, but I would have to admit that I didn't feel it improved the hair by 80%. Comparative to other products that I've tried on the market to also claim split end repair this has to be my favorite.
Tips: Use together with the other split end products. Make sure that to give the product the best you also look after your hair when using heat and protect it with leave in products for this purpose also.
As with all new products, I was skeptical about the promises! I'm in a funny hair phase, I had a baby 4 months ago and my ridiculously thick hair has started to shed like mad. I haven't had it cut for 5 months, so the ends were looking rather split.
I read the instructions - gone are the days of wet, lather, rinse! Instead it tells you how to properly use the shampoo and the conditioner.
Both shampoo and conditioner felt really creamy. I hate watery shampoos especially. I also didn't feel like I needed to use heaps of conditioner like I normally do. (I hate it when you're only half way through your shampoo and have run out of the matching conditioner.)
The product washes out really well, with such thick hair if I don't vigourously rinse I get flakes. I didn't feel I had to be as rough with my rinsing, especially with the conditioner.
After the first wash my hair was nice and shiny. After the third wash I decided to blow dry and straighten my hair to have a good look at it - it was much more manageable than usual and looks in much better condition. The ends don't look split, which is I guess the promise of the product fulfilled!
The proof is in my husband asking 'Have you had your hair done'.
What I didn't like: The smell - just a boring, average shampoo smell. The bottles - a bottle this size ideally needs a pump.
Tips: Follow the instructions on the bottle! I don't know how much of a difference they make, but by following them you end up giving your head a massage....and that's always nice.
