TRESemme Split Remedy Shampoo Review

I bought this in the last beauty vault as I was about to run out of shampoo and conditioner (so the timing was perfect). Sadly, this product didn't work for me.

I have quite a few split ends from straightening my hair and was really really hoping this would work. It didn't. I didn't see any less split ends in my hair at all. So for me, their claim that this product will bind the split ends didn't stand up for me.

I do like the size of the bottles as they last a good while. I like the scent - it smells fresh and clean and did linger in my hair for a little while. It did also feel nice (along with the conditioner) whilst I was washing my hair.

It didn't do anything special for my hair after use (besides not curing my split ends): my hair was no shinier than usual and no softer than using any other shampoo or conditioner.

So for me, I would not buy this again. If you are just after a shampoo or conditioner then this would be a fine product, however if you are after a split end remedy I would not recommend it. Like any product it just may not be suited to my hair, so from my point of view I wasn't really that impressed.

I cant rave about this enough! This is so affordable and actually works! This is great for students as its so so soo affordable and it cant be brought at pretty much any supermarket in new Zealand thats what makes it so great!

I got this shampoo from the beauty vault because i was thinking of trying it out. I used it for three weeks to give it a good chance but I really didn't like the effect it had on my hair. It made my hair quite frizzy and it was harder to manage even using the serum that i usually use to make it more manageable. It also made my hair quite flat and lifeless. I didn't notice any difference to my split ends but I don't think I really used it for long enough to be able to see a difference in that respect.

I tried this as a friend really likes it. Like all products packaging is a big thing and that was its first fail for me as I only have a small shower and the bottle was to big ( thats a personal thing tho ). I gave the product a few weeks to do as it said it would and can say that my hair needed to be washed more often and my split ends did not get any better. I would say buy it on special to try

I would use this product over and over again it helped my hair so much I had so much damage from bleach products thwt my hair was like straw and was lovely and silky smooth afterwards

I looooved the smell of this shampoo but it made my hair oily and greasy so wouldn't use it again. The bottle was too big and the pump broke on the first go so I had to scoop it from the bottle

I used this with the conditioner and was very disappointed in the results. Like I said on the conditioner, after using this twice my hair felt worse, not better. Immediately after washing my hair with the shampoo my hair felt dry, as if it was stripped, but when it dried, my hair turned greasy and gross. My scalp complained too by way of breaking out with dandruff. Would not use again.

This product was a waste of time and money, does not do what it says it should, does not help or prevent split ends and leaves your hair quite dry. Don't waste your money ladies.

Smells fresh, and considering the bottles are big will last a consistent period of time.

Plain and simple packaging which I like.

Wouldn't purchase it again.

After reading previous reviews I would like to say This works fantastic for my hair! I have been so dedicated to the health of my locks since my last hair cut. I have been using this shampoo with the matching conditioner since.

I shampoo twice then follow with the conditioner. My hair has never been in better condition, I do not get dandruff anymore, My hair looks and smells fantastic and I am left with shiney voluminous hair.

What more could you want?!?!

The TRESemme Split Remedy Shampoo one big bottle of shampoo and that is part of the reason I buy it, is so I don't have to buy shampoo so often and I feel like I am buying less plastic as a result.

In terms of how the shampoo works, it washes my hair and leaves it clean for the usual amount of time and smells nice. It does not cure existing split ends (because how could you?), but it does I think reduce the amount of split end that split after using the shampoo.

The one problem I did have is that after a while the shampoo seems to become less effective, and I'm not sure what the cause of that is, but it also happens with other shampoos.

In terms of packaging, the shampoo bottle is quite large and has a little flip cap which the product comes out of which is made of good quality plastic. So I felt that the product was good quality throughout.
