I brought this straightening brush to save time when it came to straightening my hair and getting ready for the day. I have shoulder length thick hair and I thought this could be a faster option for me.
It did live up to their claim of frizz defence! No frizz at all which was really good. I found that it took a little bit longer than expected to get through my hair as the bristles are quite short and you can only do a little at a time.
To be brutally honest - the results were ok, by the end of the day my hair was curly as heck. This straightener is pretty crappy for thick hair. I do believe it could work well for someone with thin hair.
Picked this up in the vault late last year. I am forever trying to find new ways to tame my hair and liked the look of this style of tool being a brush. VS tool products are always boxed nicely, this one was no different. It did come with a heat protectant mat which I appreciate. It has 3 heat settings, (180 degrees, 190 degrees, 200 degrees).
Heats up within a couple of minutes. Does make a tiny bit of noise but I read that was associated with activating the ions. Easy to use brush, however I still managed to singe my scalp on first use. I blame my technique not the product.
Have since used a few more times and it works well enough. Doesn't get my hair as straight as my straightener does but would say this is a good everyday tool. Maybe as a maintenance tool, like straighten hair first and use this for the next few days to maintain. I have thick, long, curly/wavy hair and think this would suit thinner, less dense hair so much better.
