For some reason I thought this would smell like porridge! It didn't, although it does smell good enough to eat :) I use it in the bath so leave it on for about 10 mins (normally long enough to shave the legs etc) and then rinse it off. It leaves my hair shiny and doesn't weigh it down. As I am outdoors a lot I use it twice a week and it makes a noticeable difference. I would recommend this to anyone, especially those with dry, damaged hair like mine.

Weleda Oat Replenshing Treatment
Weleda Oat Replenshing Treatment
With its delicate scent, rich organic shea butter and extract of organic Oat, this treatment smoothes the rough surface of the hair, intensively nourishes and hydrates. It increases the natural shine and suppleness.
Incredibly thick and luxuriant, the treatment is more like a body butter for the hair than conventional, synthetic treatments.

Tips: A little goes a long way, but even further if hair is still quite damp.
I tried this product because of it's natural ingredients etc. (I used the Weleda teething powder on my baby and it worked wonders) I have to say that I wasnt overly happy with the results. I washed my hair and towel dried it before putting it on. Then combed it through the mid and ends and wrapped in a towel to do it's magic. It didnt specify how long to leave it on for so I did about 10-15 mins then rinsed it out. While rinsing I could feel that it was much smoother and softer and was looking forward to the end result. Unfortuanlty, when it came to drying my hair I noticed that my hair still had a lot of product in it. I washed my hair a second time to remove some more. Maybe I had put to much on to begin with??
Once styled I noticed it had good body and a nice shine but my hair did feel a bit 'heavy'. I have only used it once and will try again tomorrow and see if I get better results.
This Weleda deep conditioning treatment is like a nice hydrating body butter for your hair. Weleda is a good brand for fairly natural products. This product comes in a tube which I prefer over the usual pots that deep conditioning treatments come in as it's just more convenient for use in the shower and I don't have to worry about water getting inside. The texture of this is like a thick creamy body butter. I personally prefer a thicker texture when it comes to hair treatments because after shampooing my hair it's full of water, even after I squeeze it out. So when I spread that thick concentrated butter through my wet hair it becomes more creamy and I think it stays in better than thinner treatments. The butter smells slightly floral maybe fruity. I can't really pin down what the scent is. This lovely product only needs 5-10 minutes to work, short enough that I can incorporate it into my shower routine and rinse it out at the end. The ingredients are water, cetearyl alcohol, alcohol, glyceryl stearate citrate, glyceryl stearate, behenyl alcohol, oat extract, isoamyl laurate, PCA glyceryl oleate, jojoba oil, shea butter, coconut oil, hippophae rhamnoides oil, carrageenan extract, viola tricolor extract, xanthan gum, citric acid, arginine, hydrolyzed wheat protein and fragrance (from natural essential oils). Although this has alcohol in it I still find it really hydrating and moisturizing for my hair. I have fine long hair but if I used this once a week I fine it doesn't weigh my hair down. I haven't tried using this every day or every other day but I don't wash my hair every day or every other day. Because the product is thick I don't need to use as much and so this tube has lasted me a really long time. I highly recommend this I think for how long the product lasts me the price is reasonable. I definitely will repurchase when I eventually run out.
Tips: You can apply this to damp lengths and ends pre-shampoo if you prefer. I shampoo my hair when I first get in the shower and then rinsed and comb this through the ends with my in shower Tangle Teezer before I continue with the rest of my shower routine and then rinse this off at the very end. I only use this once a week but you can use this twice a week, I wouldn't recommend more often than that as your hair may get lanky and limp.
I use this product once a week as a nourishing treatment for my fine, dry hair. I find that I don't need to use very much of it for nice results. I leave it in for about 10 minutes and it leaves my hair feeling much softer and looking nice and shiny. The tube is really cute and the product smells really yummy.
