Firstly, the image of this brand has recently been updated. They have fresh new packaging, new formula, and now only include 20 wax strips rather than 24.
Admittedly, I try and use these conveniently-sized strips in areas they aren't meant for... namely my bikini. And the result is very weak in that area. But I can't hold it against the product, because that is me being too lazy to buy proper bikini wax!
In terms of facial hair removal, these are great. They really are very gentle, and don't rip the delicate skin on my face. The size is perfect for the upper lip, and the aftercare wipes are soothing and not overly greasy.
I have been a big fan of the Marzena Facial Wax Strips so much that I have gifted it to friends overseas who could find facial wax strips or wax strips for that matter. I have repurchased this brand of wax strips numerous times. What originally drew me to the brand was that the wax didn't have a lot of ingredients and was one of the more natural brands of wax. The new one has been redone and doesn't have pine resin in it. The reformulation is more synthetic and the strips aren't plastic but an easy pull fabric strip. I have noticed that the wax melts a bit easier as compared to the discontinued formulation. It could partly due to the fabric strips. Other than that I don't notice a huge difference, except the design of the box and that it now includes to wipes to soothe and wipe of the wax residue. I like to use these every few weeks to wax off my stach and it does a good job of grabbing all or nearly all the hairs out in one go. It is labeled as reusable but I think that depends on how much of the wax strip touched the hair you wanted yanked out. I found that once the wax strip is covered in hair it's very unlikely to effectively pull out more hair. There is one confusing thing about the box and that is that it says it contains 24 strips on the front of the box and then says it contains 20 on the back, which is probably a mistake. Other than that I don't really have any faults about the product except for the reusable claims but that's not enough to put me off repurchasing the product.
Tips: You can use the non-wax side of the strip to clean off the residue. You just fold the wax side in and press the clean side against the wax residue and then pull it off. The wax should stick and come off clean. Your skin may be a little red afterwards but it should subside and look fine within 24 hours. I think that's a normal reaction to getting waxed.
