I was given this product to trial. I'm always interested in trying out new products as you never know when you'll find your next 'holy grail'. Unfortunately, this product isn't even close to being a 'holy grail' for me personally.
The product comes as three individually wrapped pink, round exfoliaters/hair softeners which have one soft side that has an elastic band for you to hold onto, while the underside is literally like a piece of sandpaper. You can use this product on any area that you shave to reduce the prickly feeling you get and to help smoothen your skin and this product is reusable which means great value for money.
I was eager to try this product out and used it after my second day of shaving my legs. You very gently rotate it over the area in a clockwise direction and then again anti clockwise for 15 seconds.
At first I was amazed yet grossed out at all the dead skin that was falling to the ground. My legs felt super soft and I thought, wow this product is fantastic! That feeling sadly didn't stay long.
DAY 1: later on during that first day, I noticed that my hair had returned to begin prickly and was no longer soft. Towards the late evening, I noticed red spotty blotches on both legs. I wondered if this was because it was my first time using a product like this???
DAY 2: both legs were still red and blotchy. When I hoped into the shower, the water made my legs sting really bad (I only washed my legs with water as they stung too much). Later that night, my legs became itchy and some small areas were raw.
DAY 3: the redness had disappeared but my legs were still itchy and stung (very sore/sensitive to touch)
DAY 4: my legs are no longer itchy, but they are extremely sensitive when anything touches them and I am unable to shave due to this so I hope it goes away soon.
I'd like to mention that I'm not allergic to anything and have never had any problems with body exfoliaters/scrubs before. I am not sure if my experience is a reaction to the product or if other ladies are having similar issues?
I personally wouldn't recommend this product and obviously won't be purchasing it either simply due to what's happened to me but I do thank Beauty Review for giving me the opportunity to trial this as despite my outcome, I do enjoy trying new products :-)
I'm really not feeling it. The time it takes to "soften" the rough hairs on your leg takes three times longer than actually shaving. It exfoliates okay but in all honesty, I would rather use a body scrub and exfoliate the whole shebang. Basically they've taken a nail file, made it circular and passed it off as a revolutionary shortcut. Its awkwardly shaped, so if you're attempting to soften your "her" or underarm area, you're seriously out of luck and it's so small that doing your entire leg takes forever. Sorry Soften Her, this one's an absolute fail!
Tips: Maybe try it as a nail file
