I suffer from very flaky scalp that can get quite itchy. I tried this shampoo and although it left my hair feeling ok, it did nothing for my scalp. I definitely wouldn't buy it again.

It really does help sort my dandruff out, but then it also really strips my colour from my hair. So i just have to use it once a week. So impressed in the way it combats my dandruff but obviously unimpressed that it strips my colour. It does leave my hair feeling very nourished and healthy
I originally purchased this to help remove semi-permanent colour from my hair. I ended up using this as I started to get a flaky scalp, wasn't really noticing any improvement. I stopped using this and found that my scalp stopped getting so flaky. Wouldn't repurchase.
I had an itchy/flaky scalp episode recently so I tried this out. I used it for about a month and a half and I did notice that it lessened the flaking (not totally) and eased the itching. My hair also felt a little bit dry but not too much that it bothered me. Then again, my hair doesn't dry out easily so so if you have naturally dry hair this is something you might need to watch out for. I also wash my hair every day so this could be contributing to the dryness.
When it started getting colder I noticed that the skin on my forehead close to the hairline would dry and peel, and after I stopped using it the peeling stopped as well. I've been having really dry skin issues recently so I had to stop using this shampoo. While it does help with the itching/flaking of the scalp, I really don't like seeing dry patches on my face so this is a no no for me at least in this weather.
I started using h&s after my hairdresser said I had some dandruff. I used the whole bottle of shampoo with conditioner and I wasn't really satisfied. I must admit my dandruff was reduced but there's still some remaining. Kind of disappointing as they claim you' will be 100% dandruff free.
I am not sure about this product, we used it when my son had dandruff but then realised that really he just needed to rebalance his scalp it wasn't dry and itchy it was oily and that was causing the overload of skin ... but the brand is strong because when we saw dandruff on the shoulders this is the first product we went to in the supermarket but it did not live up to its promise in our situation.
I recently tried this as my hair was a bit dry due to the cold weather and can honestly say its done nothing for flaky scalp/dry hair. Little bit disappointed considering thats what this brand is made for.
Most of my shampoo's and conditioners are purchased from my local supermarket. I normally buy from there because their prices are always affordable for a small family. Even with a large family you are guaranteed good value for your money. My normal supermarket is Pack and Save , but if I'm doing a spot of shopping at the mall then it would be Countdown.
My hair type is dry and damaged. I bought this because I had a scalp problem. The bottle is small sized. It lasts about 2 to 3 weeks dependent on use. The smell wasn't sweet but it was ok. It didnt work on the first week. Could see a slight reduction of scalp dryness. When I was using this it was on a daily basis. Its really good if you need to downsize on the amount of products you need when you are going away.
It did work for me eventually. But as soon as I stopped it had come back again. I think with frequent use it is very good to keep trying it.
This product worked a treat! Bye bye dandruff, however my hair and scalp grew let's say addicted! I tried after a few months of using this switching to a different shampoo and found after a few washes my hair was flaky andddd my scalp was itchy! So I now wash every 2nd day with this product and every other wash switch it up and use a different shampoo
This is such a well known brand and whilst at the supermarket I popped this into my trolley, in the hope it might help my dry, irritated scalp. I have to say I have tried most brands and products out there to treat my scalp.
The packaging has a curved white bottle, with a blue lid. It's simple and distinctive of the head and shoulders brand.
I'm mainly buy salon products for my hair, as I find most of them to be superior, in treating my scalp and nourishing my dry hair. However, I was hoping this more affordable product may do the trick.
The formula did seem to cleanse my hair well and made it feel fresh and clean. However, it seemed to do nothing for my dry irritated scalp, and the flakiness remained.
Also, this shampoo/conditioner was very drying for my hair and increased the frizziness. My hair just did not look good after using this. It definitely did not love up to its claims of being moisturising.
I was really disappointed in this product and will not be using it again. I have had far superior results with the Aveda brand, scalp balancing shampoo and conditioner, which has been so great for calming my scalp, as well as nourishing my hair.
