First off, it smelt bad! though that was something I could forgive if it did a good job. I had a bit of a flaky scalp at this point and wanted to fix that while caring for my hair. Scalp stopped being as flaky, but goodness did this do a number on my hair! It ended up dry and brittle. A no-go for me.

Tips: May work better for people with oily hair and dandruff.
Every so often I seem to get a dry itchy scalp and little bits start to flake so wanting to get rid of this problem quickly so when I saw this at the supermarket I thought perfect it should do the trick!
Being 2 n 1 I thought brilliant I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome so washing hair has become hard work these days due to lack of energy! It turns out my excitement of the 2 n 1 would later become regret as after using this shampoo my hair was such a birds nest of knots and stringy it just didn't feel good or look good! I had to get Mum to brush all the knouts out cause I just didn't have the strength to do it!
While it was effective in getting rid of the dry flaky appearance it was disappointing what it does to the hair. Definately need to use a conditioner after it to avoid a bird's nest problem!
I found the scent is a little strong in peppermint type smell but could tolerate it since it fixe the flakyness of my scalp.
I'm not sure why it says you will have less frizzyness as that was far from the truth for me and the hair was not more moisturised it was so dry. The scalp did feel soothed though so on that aspect it does work.
Tips: Use a conditioner afterwards!!
Didn't really suit me and my sensitive scalp. Pretty sure my scalp broke out in a pimply rash last time I used it and increased the amount of dandruff I had at the time. Could be better suited to people with lots of dandruff and a not so sensitive scalp. Did try it again to help remove colour build up with minimal results.
Definitely does what it says and helps to reduce dandruff. Reccomended to me by hairdresser and I love it. Great that it's a 2 in 1 makes it easier for young children. Lathers up well, smells ok. I always wait for special as it can be pricey for size
I was eager to give this a go after finding my scalp has become dry and flakey......a combination of age and the weather conditions and possibly lifestyle choices.....but for me it only worked well for the first few weeks then I found my hair felt heavy and lank., it wasn't easy to manage and I didn't feel that there was vital moisture added to my hair.....and the flakey scalp returned after a few weeks and I needed to stop using it...sadly not for me
Having caused a fair amount of damage over the years from dying/colouring and bleaching my hair, my scalp has taken a bit of a beating at times and on occasion gets dry and itchy. Whenever I have these episodes I can always rely on Head and Shoulders to clear it up in a couple washes. It’s not glamorous and certainly doesn’t make much of a difference to the condition of my hair but it dramatically helps with the dry scalp so it gets a thumbs up in that from me.
Tips: Pop your favourite smelling conditioner on the tips of your hair after using this product and you get the best of both worlds!
I had an itchy/flaky scalp episode recently so I tried this out. I used it for about a month and a half and I did notice that it lessened the flaking (not totally) and eased the itching. My hair also felt a little bit dry but not too much that it bothered me. Then again, my hair doesn't dry out easily so so if you have naturally dry hair this is something you might need to watch out for. I also wash my hair every day so this could be contributing to the dryness.
When it started getting colder I noticed that the skin on my forehead close to the hairline would dry and peel, and after I stopped using it the peeling stopped as well. I've been having really dry skin issues recently so I had to stop using this shampoo. While it does help with the itching/flaking of the scalp, I really don't like seeing dry patches on my face so this is a no no for me at least in this weather.
This product is one brand that actually lives up to their name and product description! When my psoriasis flares up this is the only thing that actually combats it and gets rid of it. It saves me using shampoo from the drs that is from a prescription and is tedious to use. Formula is really nice and smooth and leaves your hair feeling good and not dried out. I didn't actually mind using the 2 n 1 as apposed to separate shampoo and conditioner as it still did a great job.
I find H&S cleanses hair well but is not great at conditioning. It is quite good at keeping dandruff under control and my scalp and hair never feel irritated or dry. I feel that moderate-severe dandruff would be better off with stronger pharmacy-level anti-dandruff products.
I love this! When I did suffer from bad dandruff, head and shoulders was my lifesaver! It has such a lovely smell, lathers up soo good you dont need much and when you wash it out you can feel that it doesn't drain your hair of all the nutrients, doesn't leave your hair feeling dry. The dandruff effect is almost instant. I also just like to use head and shoulders every few weeks or so to strip my scalp of all the dead and yucky stuff and I feel like a brand new set of hair follicles :D
Tips: you dont need much in each use but I do love to go a bit overboard
