I felt like this did the opposite? I had heaps of shampoo build up after using this and my hair still felt very dry and brittle. Super unhappy and would not use this again

Every so often I seem to get a dry itchy scalp and little bits start to flake so wanting to get rid of this problem quickly so when I saw this at the supermarket I thought perfect it should do the trick!
Being 2 n 1 I thought brilliant I suffer from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome so washing hair has become hard work these days due to lack of energy! It turns out my excitement of the 2 n 1 would later become regret as after using this shampoo my hair was such a birds nest of knots and stringy it just didn't feel good or look good! I had to get Mum to brush all the knouts out cause I just didn't have the strength to do it!
While it was effective in getting rid of the dry flaky appearance it was disappointing what it does to the hair. Definately need to use a conditioner after it to avoid a bird's nest problem!
I found the scent is a little strong in peppermint type smell but could tolerate it since it fixe the flakyness of my scalp.
I'm not sure why it says you will have less frizzyness as that was far from the truth for me and the hair was not more moisturised it was so dry. The scalp did feel soothed though so on that aspect it does work.
Tips: Use a conditioner afterwards!!
Didn't really suit me and my sensitive scalp. Pretty sure my scalp broke out in a pimply rash last time I used it and increased the amount of dandruff I had at the time. Could be better suited to people with lots of dandruff and a not so sensitive scalp. Did try it again to help remove colour build up with minimal results.
I was eager to give this a go after finding my scalp has become dry and flakey......a combination of age and the weather conditions and possibly lifestyle choices.....but for me it only worked well for the first few weeks then I found my hair felt heavy and lank., it wasn't easy to manage and I didn't feel that there was vital moisture added to my hair.....and the flakey scalp returned after a few weeks and I needed to stop using it...sadly not for me
Last year I used this for a solid two months with the hope that it would help my dandruff.
When I first started using it (in the first two weeks), I noticed my dandruff got worse. I told my bf (who uses this religiously and has a dandruff-free head), and he said that it gets worse before it gets better.
I perservered and gave up after it didn't get any better. I also felt that this shampoo and conditioner made my hair super greasy.
I also didn't like the smell - but I would have put up with that if the product had worked for me.
I have a slightly itchy scalp and a little bit of dandruff. It is nothing too bad but can get a little annoying so I was looking at products to combat this and decided to try the Head Shoulders 2 in 1.
I didn't notice any real difference in reduction of flakes and itchiness and the formula felt a little bit too chemically for me and seemed to really dry my hair out.
I didn't notice any real benefits to using this over my normal Dove shampoo and conditioner so went back to those and wouldn't bother repurchasing this.
Both my husband and I have used this with the same results - not alot! This brand has been around for ages and always claims to remove dandruff, but alas it didn't work for me. The only thing I like is that my hair feels really clean afterwards and smells good. But as for clearing up dandruff, it's hopeless.
Brought this thinking it would help hubby's hair. What men take the time to condition???
Anyway, I was expecting his hair to look & feel softer.... Nope! So I thought I would give it a whirl twice. Oh heck, it's yuck! My hair felt dried & stringy. I wouldn't even put it as a back up.
I have long hair so it MIGHT be better for someone with short hair? Male or female of course.
I bought thus product while it was on special for $7.99 so that was a decent price for the size. Got it because I thought it would save time as I have long thick hair and takes ages to shamp/cond my hair so trying to cut corners/time. It seemed to be ok the 1st wash but subsiquent washes only succeeded in giving me dandruff and terribly itchy head, it seemed to just be building up on my hair. I had also dyed my hair and it seemed to strip the colour away as well. So I am sticking with color protect shampoo and conditioner and have to just put up with the time it takes to do a better job and keep my sanity by not having a itchy skull. (Exact opposite to what they said should do) all in all very disappointed in this product. ;(
I have a very dry and itchy scalp which sometimes produces flaking skin. It's very embarrassing and super irritating trying to style my hair so it's not too noticeable. I have been to the doctor who has given all the lotions and potions. All this did nothing to make the problem better! This is when I went on the hunt myself to find a shampoo or potion to help me feel more confident. I came across H & S 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. At $12 for both shampoo and conditioner seems like a good value for money to me.
I thought the idea of a 2 in 1 formula would both save me time and take out the mundane task of washing my hair twice one shower. The design of the bottle is actually quite boring. It reminds me of a 1990s design in the 21st century! I want style and edge urgh here we go again. The size and shape helps me hold on to the bottle a little easier than some bottles which is a bonus. It's not easy holding on to bottles at times with soapy hands.
The smell of this is quite overpowering and heavily scented like chemical. The truth is at the time I didn't care what it smelled like as long as it worked on my scalp and kept my hair healthy. Moment of truth was about to happen. I massage this in to my scalp concentrating on my problem areas. I then leave it in for three minutes and rinse. At times I repeat the action to get the ultimate results. The formula is quite thick and creamy. It lathers up perfectly to satisfy my need for bubbles so I know I am getting a proper clean.
After rinsing out, my hair feels absolutely horrible. It's stringy, dry and tangled in to the biggest of birds nests! It doesn't do anything to even attempt to make my hair feel better. Despite this I carried on to see if I would see the results it promised. I wash my hair twice a week so it took a good month to find out if I had found the one I had been looking for. My hair felt the worst it had ever felt so I found myself having to condition afterwards anyway to get the softness and tangle free feeling back. The pressing matter......did it leave me virtually flake free? The short answer it halved my problem which gave me confidence but at the cost of my healthy hair? No thanks! If I stopped using it for even one week it would flake up worse than before I used it! I have come to the conclusion that I would rather try other methods than use something that would ruin my hair!
Tips: Use a conditioner or serum afterwards because it is quite drying!
