Head and Shoulders Clean & Balanced Shampoo

The shampoo was exceptional. It has a pleasant smell. It lathers up nicely and left my hair feeling clean and fresh. I felt that my scalp itching flakiness had improved. This is the best anti-dandruff shampoo that I have used. The only con is the smell which is nice but a smell I didn’t prefer.

I used this shampoo for a week before writing this review. I used it a couple of days in a row and then left my hair for a few days to see how my hair went with a few days in between washes. I was pleasantly surprised by the scent of the shampoo, not like the old Head and Shoulders chemical kind of smell. In fact it smelled completely normal!!! It left my hair clean and smelling great and after the first wash I had NO dandruff fallout at all. Awesome stuff!

I’ve always stayed clear of dandruff shampoo as I always thought it wouldn’t suit my thick curly hair. However I was sick of after one day having a very itchy and flakey scalp. After a couple of washes with this shampoo I noticed way less flaking and definitely not as itchy. I seem to be able to go a extra day so far before needing to wash my hair. It does have a slight scent to it, smells quite clean and refreshing, nothing too strong and doesn’t linger on your hair. Can’t wait to keep using it and see further results!

I have been using this product a few times this week and i am already noticing my scalp is better.

Since i have stopped bleaching my hair and gone back to my natural dark brown colour, i have had issues with my scalp and roots. My roots are always greasy and oily looking and my scalp always feels like there is a build up of...well i dont know what the build up is, but it's gross...and i 'snow' (as my mum calls it).

After just 3 washes on every second day, i already notice a huge difference. Honestly dont know why i waited to get this product myself hehehe. But now i know how to fix my problems, i will maintain it!

I only use small amounts of the product about size of a 50c piece; 2 rounds of shampoo. I enjoy the scent; i dont find it chemically. The product i find to be quite thick compared to my regular shampoo (that's not a bad thing; just an observation). My hair feels smooth soft and clean. It hasn't made my hair fall out more than a couple stand here and there (i used one brand and i had HUGE hair fallout...but that's another story).

For now, i love this product. I recommend this product...it actually works! I will continue using it. Thumbs up H&S

I was excited to receive the Head and Shoulders combo to review as I've struggled over the last few years with a breakout here and there of the dreaded white flakes! Given that I wear a black uniform five or six days a week it's always really noticeable when my scalp is flakey. I like the size of the shampoo and the fact that the shampoo lid faces up while the conditioner faces down makes them nice and easy to distinguish in the shower.

I managed to use the shampoo twice before my review was due and to be honest if I wasn't reviewing it I probably would have waited another day, maybe two before washing again. The shampoo itself startled me on first use, it's much thicker than a traditional shampoo, almost more like a conditioner texture. Having said that, it lathered nicely and was super easy to massage into my scalp. It's a pale blue sort of pearly texture and really does lather up. I was a little concerned that the amount of lather would take a whole to rinse out but it rinsed away quite nicely. I didn't really like the smell, it's subtle but definitely noticeable and I have much nicer smelling options I prefer over this smell! My hair felt slightly tangled after rinsing and I definitely wouldn't skip the conditioner stage. Although tangled my hair felt clean with no noticeable scalp tingling or anything weird to report!

Head and Shoulders Clean & Balanced Shampoo really does feel like it is cleansing your scalp and soothing it too. It's got quite a tacky consistency when you first squeeze it out but once you start rubbing it into your hair it lathers quickly which makes it easy to massage into your scalp. As it lathers well you don't need to use very much so a bottle would last quite a while which makes it pretty economical, especially since it's well priced as well. I quite like the fragrance although it's a little bit stronger than I think it needs to be. Once you rinse your hair though the fragrance that is left is a lot more subtle which is great.

I found that it cleared my flaky scalp after only about 3 washes. I did find that my scalp was a little bit itchy after the first use but I suspect that was because I used too much as I didn’t realise how much it would lather. Since the second wash I haven’t had any problems with my scalp being itchy.

The packaging is relatively plain but it uses the recognisable and traditional blues and white of Head and Shoulders so it makes it easy to find in the supermarket and the lid is easy to open and close.

I really like and would definitely recommend Head and Shoulders Clean & Balanced Shampoo to anyone who suffers from a dry, flaky and/or itchy scalp. You can just replace your usual shampoo with it so it won’t take you any extra time to look after your scalp.

This product ticks all the boxes but, unfortunately, it wasn't suitable for me due to my use of hair colourant. My hair is blue and I take care to extend my colour as long as I can. So, watching the heavy swirls of blue wash down the drain when rinsing this out was disheartening. But, geez talk about squeaky clean! Straight after rinsing, it felt different. No crunchy, plastic feeling and it penetrated through my hair to the scalp which most shampoo can't do. The smell is non-offensive and if I didn't have to maintain a regime to keep my hair colour consistent, I would use this and will recommend this to any of my itchy, flaky scalp comrades. It works, from the first wash. Great price, Clean scalp, happy hair. You should definitely consider it on your next Supermarket run :)

Comes in traditional Head and Shoulders vaguely pharmaceutical looking bottle. The smell of this light bluey greeny shampoo is so much nicer than the usual tarry chemical smell of anti dandruff shampoos on the market and it lathers really well. The first time I used it I had a really itchy scalp later that day but I think I may have used to much and not rinsed enough. The second day I used less and no issues. I only got to use this twice before my review.so I haven’t noticed huge reduction in my white specs yet, but I will definitely continue use.

The shampoo has a creamy thick consistency which means that you do not need to use a lot of the product. A little bottle would last me a long way as I only use a squirt of it. It has a subtle smell and lathers up nicely. I have thick hair, but I find it really penetrates down and cleans my scalp. The shampoo does not strip the moisture from my hair. The shampoo has a neutral fragrance, so both my partner and I can use it. I often find anti-dandruff shampoos have strong chemical smells which I do not like.

This shampoo stops the itching as it soothes my irritated scalp. I definitely see less flakiness and most importantly this does not strip out the moisture in my hair. I will purchase this product again and would recommend it to everyone.
