Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner Review

For some reason, this conditioner is amazing for my hair for the first week and then it's like it stops having as much effect.

Herbal Essences Hello Hydration Conditioner comes in a bright blue bottle, with a picture of the primary scent (coconut) on the modern-looking label. The dispenser is at the base, making it easy to extract the product.

The conditioner is a creamy pale blue, with a mid-thick consistency and a delicious coconut fragrance that is subtle but distinct.

I find that the conditioner, in that magic week, moves through my hair well, but then it seems to stop having the same effect, and start dragging a little.

Initially it softens my hair beautifully and leaves it silky and awesome, but then it starts to have less and less effect. My hair then knots more and gets tangled easily.

I have bought this a few times but I tend to just use it occasionally because that way I seem to get the best benefits from it. I have other conditioners that simply suit my hair better. The hydration claims of the product really are hit or miss, for me, unfortunately!

The fragrance is lovely though!

I can't be the only one, but when i buy a shampoo, I instinctively buy the matching conditioner. It is just something ingrained in me that I can't change, so when i brought the shampoo , i had to buy this conditioner as well.

This conditioner comes in a similar bottle to the shampoo except it sit upside down. The bottle is blue in colour, and has a smooth shape which makes it easy to hold. The lid flip up which you push one end (like the see-saw), and the little hole makes it easy to push out just the right amount of product. Although when the bottle is getting empty, i find it really hard to push the product out and actually need to use two hands.

The conditioner is pale blue in colour, and is slight thick but its not very creamy. Its not lavishly thick, and doesn't feel lavish when applying it to my hair, so nothing special in that sense.

The reason why I like this conditioner is because of the coconut smell. Yumo, something about coconut just makes me so happy.

This conditioner does an okay job, when my hair is wet is detangles my hair easily, and washes out nicely leaving no heavy residue. However, it doesn't condition my hair as well as other products, and leaves it looking soft, but messy. It just can't seem to tame and hold my hair's natural curl.

Personally, this conditioner doesn't do much for me. But I love the smell. I might have this in my cupboard as a back up, but its not something i overly enjoy using (other than the smell), and it doesn't do a whole lot to my hair either.

Saw this on my weekly grocery shop and thought I would give it a try. My hair is dry from straightening and colouring. Doesn't help that my hair is thick and curly as well.

This conditioner bottle sits on itself. Its very easy to get product out of it. The consistency of this is smooth creamy light blue colour. Smells like vanilla coconut.

After Shampooing my hair I put this conditioner through my hair. It feels smooth and soft like silk in the water. After washing it off my hair is easier to brush. The scent of it lingers for a while after it.

I like pairing my shampoo and conditioner. I believe it is priced fairly. I like to wash my hair every second day with this. My hair feels soft and not as dry as it usually is. Its been great to use for my whole family. I most likely would purchase this one again.

I use this conditioner for adding good slip after shampooing and before deep conditioning. It makes my hair feel nice and healthy and not weighed down and detangles so well.

I have used this conditioner alongside its matching shampoo. I really like the smell. My hair can get pretty frizzy and it really helps with this. Good on the first couple of uses. However, if I use it regularly I find that my hair is left feeling a bit weighed done with product residue. Could be my application? However, that's what I found.

I have always loved this products for the scent most of all, but the packaging also appeals to me, however, I find that it does work at first at giving me clean feeling, soft, lovely smelling hair, but after a while, for some reason it stops working and I have to switch to another product for a while and come back. By saying it stops working, I mean I feel like it stops moisturising my hair and instead just makes it feel heavy, as if all the product is sitting on the top. I also think that for a product called “Hello Hydration”, it should be amazingly hydrating, but instead it’s just like any other conditioner in its price range. But despite my gripes with the product, because I am so in love with the scent and because of the low cost, I’m probably going to keep buying it.

When it comes scents for hair products Clairol deserves is tops in my books for producing such gorgeous scented products that if it weren't sold in the supermarket you would've thought it was high end. I have always loved the Herbal Essence range for their divine scents and part of my routine for getting ready for close contact with someone included a hair wash using their products. I bought this conditioner and the matching the shampoo when I first arrived in the middle of the winter in New Zealand. It kept my hair soft and conditioned. I didn't have much money so I didn't get or use very many other haircare products but my really long hair stayed in good condition using this set. I stopped using this for a short time when I switched to more natural and SLS-free shampoos and organic conditioners, but then developed a crush on a guy and then used this conditioner to get my hair smelling nice for him. I actually caught him sniffing my hair after washing it with the Hello Hydration set and so kept on using it for awhile. I haven't repurchased when it ran out but I still have that sweet little memory of the guy I was interested in sniffing my hair thanks to this gorgeous coconut and floral scented conditioner. If you're on a tight budget but want to feel like you're using high end products I would highly recommend this brand and set. It turns shower time into aromatherapy time.

First of all, this is worth buying purely for the scent. It's the perfect blend of coconut and floral and surprisingly doesn't smell at all artificial. Literally makes me feel like I'm an island goddess.

This conditioner performs really well! I have blonde hair that's 90% from a bottle and this helps to keep it under control (it's also long, thick and wavy, crappy combo). I do find I need something a bit thicker and heavier for my hair type but this does a really decent job on it's own.

I'm also in the camp that conditions my roots (bleach is up there too haha) but I do find that I need to be careful to really rinse it well from the upper third or so of my hair otherwise it can get a little greasy.

Definitely recommend this though and it does come in a deeper treatment version that I use to boost the moisturizing good-ness!

Firstly, I really like the packaging. The colour is so bright and vibrant and the shape is so quirky and fun! Makes for a great addition in the shower. I also like the lid because it's easy to store upside down to get out the last bit of the product.

It comes out a medium thick consistency that smells absolutely delicious. The floral, Coconuty scent is so yummy and totally remindsme of summer, which is good for these dreary winter months. It also moisturises quite well and leaves my hair feeling silky soft and smooth. It can be a bit heavy, and my hair is prone to getting greasy faster than other conditioners, but I do like the scent and it works well enough that I just take it as a sign I need to stop being lazy and just wash my hair. Love this and because of the affordable price, I will definitely repurchase!
