I have had my InStyler for a few years now and it's amazing , there is a technique to it though . I don't actually use mine to straighten my hair , I use it to give a big curl and curling away from my face . For diffrent hair types it my preform diffrently . My hair is naturally wavey and is quite thick, and when I am finnished it's bouncey and smooth no frizzys !

InStyler Rotating Hot Iron Hair Styler
It's not a brush. It's not a flat iron. It's not a curling iron. It's the InStyler® rotating hot iron!
The InStyler rotating hot iron is a totally new styling and straightening tool unlike any hair styling product ever invented!
The secret to the InStyler iron lies in its rotating heated polishing cylinder, along with four rows of precision-aligned bristles.
Here's how it works when you run the InStyler rotating hot iron through your hair, the first set of bristles gently sort and separate your hair strands. Then the rotating heated polishing cylinder gently glides over your hair, smoothly polishing, straightening, and styling each strand. Finally, the second set of bristles puts the finishing touch on your hair, leaving you with shiny, silky, hair! It's truly amazing!
And the best part is, because of the InStyler rotating hot iron's patented design, your hair won't get smashed and baked by the super-intense heat of a flat iron or other "hot" tools. In fact, the InStyler rotating hot iron uses less heat than traditional hot tools, and delivers better results. How? Because the InStyler rotating hot iron's gentle heat in conjunction with the rotating motion of the polishing cylinder literally polishes your hair strands individually so it doesn't need extreme heat to get amazing results.
Your hair will be shinier, bouncier and full of lift and life!
Plus, the InStyler rotating hot iron does so much more than any styling tool out there. Get lift and fullness – right from the root! Get a sexy flip in seconds. Straighten even the toughest, most coarse hair – and still get fullness and style without the stick-straight "flatness" of a flat iron. Do a full style in 8 minutes – and change it again in two minutes! Wrap your hair around the rotating polishing cylinder – and get an amazing curl that lasts all day!
If you can hold it, you can do it with the InStyler rotating hot iron!

Tips: Don't give up on it after your first go using it , it really does take time to get your technique right !!
The instyler is defiantly a good straightner although it doesn't take "minutes" as the ad says. it takes about 15-20 mins to do my hair and its very fine, short hair. I still love it as it keeps the hair looking shiny and healthy.
Tips: Use heat serum before straightening just for protection of your hair :)
Infomercials are designed to make product look easier & more amazing than products actually are. I bought this & tried it out on my daughter, mine & a friends hair in one evening... Definitely should have practised before hand to ensure less burning lol, but effects for straightening were good. All 3 of us have a lot of hair & the in styler was definitely faster than other straighteners I'd used. My friends hair is also very thick & the in styler left her hair considerably smoother. A good start.
I have since used it for straightening, however I have found the only way to keep a curl in my hair or my daughters is to put mousse through our hair first, and less hair is definitely best.
Tips: Practise, practise, practise.
okay so i brought this because i heard i could curl my hair easily with it, swell as straighten.. so i first straightened my hair and i love it for straightening my hair!! however I've tried to curl my hair a few times with it and it doesn't curl !! i even got my friend who's amazing with hair styles to try it and well the instyler just isn't one to curl my type of hair in. it just kinda made a burning smell.. but its brilliant to straighten any sorts of hair!!
So I ended up with 2 of these as I bought them through the infomercial. Glad I did, it became my go to when I needed to wash and straighten out my frizzy hair without going to the salon. The only down side of the product is after a few times it did not clamp tight enough, seemed to wear really quickly and eventually the brushes on either side came off. Glad I had the second one!
Tips: Use a heat protector spray to protect your hair as it gets extremely hot.
I beged my partner to get this for me as a bday present after watching the adds on TV many times, I have very thick curely long hair and it didnt cut downmy straightening time at all like it ssays.. It is also very easy to burn yourself on the spinning barrel which is very hot. The one highlight is it leaves your hair shiney
Tips: Go for ghd eclipse awesome hair straightener :)
My boyfriend bought me this after seeing it on the t.v. I would use it again as I own it. But if I had tried my mates one, I wouldn't of bought it. I found it didn't leave my hair nice and shinny. I tried it slow and fast and nothing seemed to work. It did make nice curls though
So I actually think this isn't too bad. Definitely not like GHDs but it still does the trick and the best part I like is due to the side shields, theres no burning the scalp which makes it so much safer to use on kids. I also do like how it has the bristles to smooth hair out while using also. Overall happy.
my friend got this for me awhile ago, and it works really good in my hair, i find it easy to use, it heats up quickly. leaves my hair rather solf and managable. only downfall is that the bristles on the brush have gone all bent and spread out. aswell as i cant seem to master the curling part of the styling tool! but it doesnt bother me. i do like it but i personally wouldnt spend that much money on it.
My Man got me this last xmas saying I'm always complaining about my crazy hair! Its pretty weird to use at first as its really big and clunky and rather alot heavier then my old Remington straightener. Still I gave away the old one and stuck with the instyler. It comes with a heat guard so you don't burn your head and I didn't take that off till about 6 months of using. I can't for the life of me get it to curl my hair at all (probably just me being unco) But it does a good job straightening. I only need to use it on the middle setting as it is pretty hot (My hair is really really thick) but I can do nice big chunks of hair at a time effectively, which does make it alot quicker to use, not to mention how quick it is to heat up. Now I only really use it to tame my funny sticky-outy bits on bad hair days as I can't be bothered straightening everyday, not to mention how frizzy it gets with heat used on it everyday.
Tips: Because of the size it is a little tricky to get it right in near your roots, If thats really important to you or if you have short hair, I'd suggest trying the smaller instyler, that should get you nice and close but I don't really know as I've never got my hands on that particular one :)
