Jeffree Star Liquid Lipsticks Review

I have just bought this in the colour Celebrity Skin, and holy cow its amazing. The formula is really smooth, and goes on easily. The little applicator is a really nice shape and makes application easy. But the lipstick wears SO well! I can wear it all day without needing a touch up. That's amazing. Doesn't feel dying, I can wear it multiple days in a row without dry lips (unlike the Mac retro mattes). I can't wait to get more shades!

Obviously from the title you can already tell my opinion.. i own 15 of the Jeffree Star lipsticks. I love them! The packaging is gorgeous and i especially love the limited edition white christmas packaging that he came out with. The formula is a very thin liquid when you first apply but dries totally matte and opaque. Most shades last on me all day without touchups as long as i don't eat anything oily but there are a few shades which seem to have a slightly different formula. 714, doesn't last as well but as far as i know he discontinued this shade because he didn't think the formula was as good. Weirdo, the black colour, seems to take longer to dry than the other shades doesn't seem to last as well as the others. In saying that it is still better than any other liquid lipstick brand that i have tried. Drug lord, the white shade also seems to be a slightly different formula as it isn't as opaque but is fine to use to lighten other shades or if you do want it as a stand alone colour is fine with a few coats. The Jeffree Star lipsticks seem to reapply perfectly as i've found that some tend to do flaky when layers are added across the day but that isn't the case with Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks. The colour range is also stunning! The only colours he seems to be missing are yellow and grey, but grey can be created using weirdo and drug lord. Another benefit to these is that they can be easily mixed to make custom shades!

Overall i totally recommend them, i can wear them all day with no hassle and the colours are gorgeous and very pigments! I will definitely be buying more!

Love them! These don't dry out your lips, stay on longer than other liquid to matte brands, are really comfortable to wear, very little if any bleeding, and have amazing and unique colours.

I LOVE these liquid lipsticks. The formula is amazing, they are so highly pigmented. The colours are intense and they are really comfortable to wear, not cakey and not too dry.

So liquid lipsticks are all the rage at the moment, but so many of them are super drying on your lips and feel cakey. Well that's about to change! Jeffree Star velour liquid lipsticks are the most incredible invention! They're super pigmented, come in an insanely awesome range of colours (so there's something for everyone), actually stay put on your lips all day, aren't drying, and best of all you can't even feel it when it's on! This product is now my holy grail of lipsticks. I own 12 colours and haven't touched any of my other lipsticks in months! I wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone! And yes, I know they're a tad on the more expensive side of things but they're such a good investment, trust me you won't regret buying them!

I first saw Jeffree Star liquid lipsticks on Instagram a couple of months back. The first thing that jumped out at me was how aaaaamazing the colours are. A couple weeks ago I decided to buy Posh Spice (and at the same time I grabbed Unicorn Blood for my best friend).

We were both stoked with how well packaged the lippies are as a whole. Beautiful wee pink box and the tubes themselves are gorgeous.

I haven't noticed a scent with Posh Spice, however I received my holiday bundle yesterday and I reckon Mistletoe smells like Christmas. Which is fitting.. as the holiday bundle is in relation to Christmas I'm fairly sure.

I find the wand is perfect for my lip shape and application is an absolute breeze, it goes on opaque and dries completely matte as advertised. I've managed to eat all sorts of foods wearing Posh Spice and have had no smudging. It really does stick! The formula is gorgeous and velvety and I cannot find fault with the product at all.

Removal has been easy, comes off with a few quick wipes with the makeup.co.nz wipes which is super.

Overall, a fantastic product, I am 100% in love with the liquid lipsticks and will be telling everyone I know to go and buy them!

So I bought a Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick for Halloween (I think the colour was Blue Velvet?) Anyway I am really impressed. It is totally worth buying, it dries matte and looks really nice on my lips. The packaging is adorable and doesn't really have much of an odor. The tip of the brush is curved making it easy to apply. The formula is runny, but still really pigmented. My biggest regret is applying more than one layer of this liquid lipstick, because as the night went on at my Halloween party, I began to realise that my lips felt rather clumpy.

I have been coveting these lipsticks for some time now and finally made my first purchase last month! I am super impressed with them.

Packaging: Straight off the bat, this is the best liquid lipstick packaging I've seen. I love the shorter, fatter tubes and the thick, heavy duty acrylic. They feel high quality and look really nice. I appreciate that the body is clear so that you can see the colour easily, this makes finding colours much more simple. The lid twists with ease and clicks into place so you know it's shut properly, I have had no issue with these leaking even when travelling. The doe foot applicator is one that I haven't really seen before, it's much more thick and fluffy compared to others, it also has a dip in the slanted portion to hold product for application - however I do think these wands pick up too much product and do require wiping off. The wand is flexible but not flimsy and it kind of hugs the curves of your lips, though the size could be an issue for people with smaller lips. Also appreciated is the shade name clearly printed on the bottom of the tube.

Product: Starting with the scent, I have recently seen some people complaining about a bad smell but all of mine have a subtle 'cosmetic' type scent, slightly chemical but not overwhelming and it doesn't linger after application. The texture of the lipstick is quite thin, thinner than I expected but it's not a bad thing. It allows you to apply in thin, even layers to get an opaque finish. It's not too liquid-y in that it will run when applying but it's not like those thicker, more mousse type liquid lipsticks. This formula takes a good minute or so to dry down completely which is nice, it gives you wiggle room to get a perfect application and fix any mistakes. It also isn't sticky! That is one thing I loathe with liquid lipsticks, this one truly does dry down to a velvety matte finish.

Performance: I am glad Jeffree didn't claim for these to be transfer resistant or bullet proof because they certainly are not. This is where it lost some points, not because they are faults in my book but because they are often things people look for in liquid lipsticks. I've found that these fade a considerable amount on the inner lips when eating, oily food or not they do disappear. They do transfer but not significantly, no where near as much as a traditional lipstick. But for me the redeeming factor is that you can reapply over the existing product, so many liquid lipsticks cake up or flake and crumble when reapplied, these do not.

Overall: I am in love! I currently have four shades - Posh Spice, Dominatrix, Abused and Androgyny - and I plan on picking up a couple more and hopefully he'll bring out more beautiful shades! I highly recommend these if you don't mind the shorter wear time, they're gorgeous and surprisingly comfortable for a matte!

These lipsticks come in a glam hot pink packaging with metallic gold stars. I really love the packaging!

These liquid lipsticks are intensely pigmented which is amazing! They are probably the most highly pigmented lipsticks ever. They do stain, which is to be expected with the amount of pigmentation. These lipsticks are cruelty free and vegan. They come in a wide range of colours that are absolutely stunning so wearable.

These Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipsticks are very similar to Lime Crime’s Velvetines but I believe Jeffree Star’s formula is thicker. I love the matte velvety finish of it.

These Liquid Lipsticks apply wet, then I allow it to dry for about 60 seconds, after that it becomes completely matte. When it dries there’s no going back.

It feels very lightweight, feels like there is nothing on my lips when I wear it. When it is windy outside, my hair does not get stuck on my lips because it is matte lipstick.

The colours of these lipsticks are absolutely gorgeous on my lips. They looks exactly like it does in the tube, that’s how pigmented these lipsticks are. The application was not hard thanks to the brilliant applicator. I did not notice any scent in these lipsticks.I am amazed at how long these lipsticks last. They last for ages, they have an amazing staying power.

If you are into bold colours and matte lipsticks, definitely try out these! You won't be disappointed.
