Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream Review

I was recommended this and I had to return it. Considering the price it is you’d be better to ask your derm/facialist for a product that is specially for you. More suited for an overnight cream, especially if you have oily skin!!

I purchased this after having my eye on it for months. Finally one day I splurged and I so excited. After applying I thought my skin would feel incredibly hydrated and moisturized. However, it wasn't the case. I used the tub of this because I didn't want to waste it but I would not repurchase. I didn't feel it hydrated or moisturized my skin enough (I have normal to dry skin) I was left super disappointed.

Like the simple packaging. Didn't notice much of a scent with this cream. Consistency of cream was thicker than I was expecting. Expected to be like a light and fluffy cream, but this was slightly heavy. Used as a night cream, was very moisturising but not too heavy for night use. Don't think I would use during the day though as I have combo oily skin and it would be too much for day use.

Not sure what this retails for and not overly wowed. Won't be repurchasing.

I was in need of a good moisturiser that doesn’t over hydrate my face and give me acne. I would say that this product does exactly that! I am not a big fan of the container that it comes in as I don’t like the idea of bacteria being on your fingers when you dip them into it every time. However the the moisturiser itself is lightweight without an over powering smell and easily absorbed. I was able to wear over a serum, under a foundation without feeling like I had a caked on face. I would love it if it came with it’s own plastic paddle to dispense onto my finger tips, but over all I think the product does what it says!

The moisturizer comes in a small round pottle. It has a lightweight consistency and your typical cream scent.

To use, simply put afew dabs onto your face and neck and rub in.

I have been using morning and night, I have found my skin to be less oily and alot of my fine lines are disappearing which is great. I love that this product is lightweight and absorbs quickly. My skin is noticeably plumper aswell and I would definitely recommend this product.

Use in conjunction with the toner and serum

I'm pretty fussy with my daily moisturisers and creams as my skin can be a bit hard to tame. The Ultra Facial Cream was a nice addition to my skincare routine and seemed to be the perfect follow-up to the calendular toner and the super-serum and it was a treat to use a 3-step skincare routine from Kiehls - I'm usually not one for using the same brand, but I was stoked with the results of this trio. The moisturiser is smooth and creamy and was absorbed into my skin nicely. I definitely felt the hydrating effects and I can honestly say I have had no issues with dryness since using the product, which can be an issue for me as my skin gets quite stressed and tired. I found that I couldn't use this daily as it left my skin a bit too hydrated to the point I felt it got a bit dewy, so I need to work it into a broader skincare routine alongside another day cream - but for me this is a minor thing. It's a great product to have up your sleeve if your skin needs a moisture boost and can stay tucked away on those days or nights that your skin is feeling hydrated and you can sub another moisturiser in. Great product in an excellent line-up from Kiehls.

If you're looking for some serious hydration, then this cream is definitely for you! At first glance, I thought this cream was going to be thick and heavy, but boy was I wrong. It's so light, when you dip your finger in it feels like nothing! I couldn't believe how little product I needed to cover my face and neck. I found I only needed a pea sized amount, so this little tub is going to last me a wee while. There's nearly no scent whatsoever, so perfect for those that don't like heavily perfumed products. Only downside I found was, on really hot days I felt my skin was noticeably oilier than normal. But I still think it's a winner and can't wait to see what it can do in the winter months when my skin tends to be drier.

This face cream soaks into the skin quickly and doesn’t make it feel oily or look shiny! It just hydrates the skin and keeps it hydrated. The only downside with this product is that there is no SPF in it. But I did try this cream with some SPF moisturiser over the top of it and it worked well. But I just wish it was an all in one face cream with SPF. It does do what it says it will though and hydrates and makes my skin look plump and healthy.

This is a quality moisturiser! It definitely is very hydrating, but sadly I have extremely oily skin and this is not the best moisturiser for me, as it is a bit too hydrating! I was interested to try this to see if my oily skin was partly due to dehydration but using it helped me learn that was not the reason for my oily skin. I thought the moisturiser left a bit of a sticky feeling on the skin, which makes it good to use under makeup as it helps the foundation stick, but without makeup it can feel a little heavy until it sinks in properly. I will continue to use this at night so my skin can get lots of hydration while I sleep, but will stick to a different moisturiser for daytime wear.
