Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream Review

I was lucky enough to receive this as part of a trial team, and I'm so glad I did.

It comes in a little pot, with instructions on how to use at the front. It is scented, but I didn't find it unpleasant, overpowering, or notice it on my face after application.

The cream itself is light and you will find a little will go a long way, just a dip of my finger would do my face and neck. I have been using it twice a day for three weeks so far and I have barely made a dent in the 50 ml pot.

I found this product extremely moisturising - you can feel it as soon as you apply it and it lasts all day, but doesn't leave your t-zone feeling oily. I also feel like my skin is a little more glowy because it's nice and hydrated.

Overall, I would definitely use this again. While it seems expensive, the fact you use so little and the product works, means that I will be purchasing it again in the future.

Packaging: Simple, clean lines. A little cheap-looking initially. I'm not always a fan of pot creams because of the hygiene factor of sticking my fingers into it daily.

Appearance: It's a plain white cream with a pleasant herbal smell. It's very smooth and not greasy, despite it's hydrating and heavy nature.

Use: I found this cream to be really great to use. It has left my skin really soft, and I think has started to improve the condition of it. It was too heavy for me to use twice a day, so I just use it once a day now. It has worked wonders and left my skin not hating the very drying hospital air-conditioning!

I’ve always loved Kiehls packaging and products and follow their instagram just to see and hear about their products and I much admit this was number one I wanted to try. So thank you BR. I had seen a read many things about this cream and was not disappointed.

This creamy concoction is scentless, white and a cream consistency, but not too thick. It’s quite light weight on the skin and spreads so well. It’s not like spreading sunscreen. It’s so silky - and lightweight so I was ultra surprised! It definitely feels like there must be some sort of filler in there to make it that silky smooth but looking at the ingredients list that can’t be!? It’s just so smoothing on the skin!!

I didn’t use a lot just a few dabs and then blended in. I do have quite dry & sensitive skin, but my skin has been in great condition! This has been so moisturising and seems to last into the night and morning. I actually don’t cleanse and wash my face in the morning - I go straight to the sunscreen and makeup usually, but I have been loving my skin lately so haven’t really been using makeup at all! It’s in such good condition.

I think this range suits my age.. 35 for sure! Usually more natural based products I avoid as the scent, stickyness or effectiveness put me off and I stick them in the not for me category.. but this cream would suit a wide age group.

It’s been so soft and smoothing I have noticed my skin is more hydrated, smooth and soft. I still have those big wrinkles - nothing will change that but this has greatly reduced the roughness, tightness and dryness in my skin. It looks fresh and plump. And it’s so surprising as it looks like a simple cream with no scent but it is obviously packing some powerful ingredients.. it’s quite similar to a night mask I would say for your skin with the hydration it can deliver.

Kiehls riccarton is my local and I always slither in for a test so make sure you try it out at your local I’ve always found they are so helpful to let you try.

Ok do I have a bad history with moisturizers I put them on and they make me sweat like it's running off my face I havent in 37 years found one that works for me WELL my prayers were answered this cream is EVERYTHING I mean I put this on after toner and super serum and man its soooo good it put a thin layer all over my face an neck you can feel it for about 2 minutes then it's already fully absorbed but when I touch my face it feels like this silk layer on my face an the first time I was oh my this is brilliant a must have I love it no more melting off my face

Where has this product been all my life?! I have been using this cream day and night during the trial period and I think I've found the one! It does everything it claims, keeping the skin hydrated all day long whilst being super light weight - it's hard to find a product that does both of these things well. I tend to get oily skin and I found that because this product absorbs so nicely, it doesn't add to the shine problem. Now I'm not sure if it's my imagination so I'm interested to read the other reviews, but it seems to have a cooling effect on my skin. Almost like popping a bit of cold water on my face, a sensation that has been so welcome in this hot weather. It comes in a plastic tub which suits me because I can easily get every last bit of product out. The eco-warrior in me hopes to one day see this product in a glass jar.

The Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream is an amazing and well balanced facial moisturizer.

My skin can be a bit of a mixed bag. I am in my late 30's so it is showing signs of aging while having oily patches, breakouts, and sometimes dry patches. Normally I use a light day cream and a heavier night cream so I wasn't too sure how the switch to a facial cream that was to be used day and night would go. Would it be heavy enough for the night but light enough for day use so I don't look super oily? Impossible right?! This Kiehl's cream somehow ticks both of these boxes.

I applied a small quantity of this face cream day and night over the Kiehl's Calendula toner and Kiehl's Skin Strengthening Serum. A little really does go a long way. It spreads well and absorbs quickly leaving soft and hydrated feeling skin.

The packaging is simple, a screw-top lid and it doesn't really have a smell. This is the perfect face cream to layer with different serums depending on your skin needs.

I recommend this facial cream to anyone who is after a good all-round moisturizer to hydrate and balance their skin.

I am a busy mum of four and as such I run long distance to get a bit of sanity time- and the consequence of all the time outside is my poor skin being exposed to wind and sun and pollution. My skin is dry/ combination and fairly normal although dull looking. I was very excited to be chosen as part of the Kiehl’s trial team and to give my skin a real treat. The Ultra Facial cream comes in the plastic pot with a screw on lid. I usually prefer pump bottles so as not to get my fingers in the product but as this cream is quite heavy duty I can see why it needs to be in a pottle. The cream is white and thick and has no discernible scent which is a positive for me. I applied to clean skin morning and night and found that my skin hair drank it up- it sank in quickly and didn’t feel like I was wearing a heavy mask. Within minutes of applying my skin felt hydrated and plumper and so soft to touch. After two weeks of continual use , I have been receiving comments about how healthy my skin is looking and how rested I look ( which couldn’t be further from the truth !) I will absolutely be purchasing this cream again !

This cream is beautiful and smooth. Its lightweight and the perfect compliment to the Kiehl's skincare range. The fragrance is very neutral and easy to love. Its really the perfect hydrater, my skin is typically oily and this delivers the perfect amount of moisture without feeling heavy.

Skin feels strengthened and protected from the elements. There are lots of powerhouse ingredients, Antarticine extracted from sea glaciers and Squalene to balance the acid mantel.

A lovely cream, so good my daughter has been using it too. Great for all skin-types, old and young. Highly recommend and will definitely purchase again.

Ultra facial cream, is a nice luxury face cream. It’s pretty much my new must have face moisturiser, it has a very mild scent (pretty much none) which is also nice. The pot is nice and simple with a screw lid and easy to scoop as much cream as you need to use. I have dry spots on my face, especially around the corner of my nose and this has worked wonders and completely taken these dry areas away. I would highly recommend this and believe it’s worth the price

I was lucky enough to get to trial this product recently and am happy to say it has me hook line and sinker! I have tried Kiehls in the past but decided it was too bug a luxury for my budget. This face cream has reminded me why it is worth the money, such a smooth cream that gives weightless but generous moisture. I have already noticed a huge difference in my skins texture and seen a better balance in moisture levels. Will definitely save my penies to keep my stocks up.
