Kiehl's Vital Skin-Strengthening Super Serum Review

Packaging: A basic red pump bottle containing a creamy white somewhat-loose liquid. Very busy label, which seems to be the hallmark of a Kiehl's product. Not an airless pump, but good for touch-free administration.

Use: This product has a herbal-type smell, but not unpleasant. It is nice and light-weight. It doesn't leave a greasy residue, and absorbs quickly into the skin. It sits well under make-up, and layers well with other skincare.

I don't see any miracles from it yet, but I will be persevering because I do like the feeling of it on my skin.

I’ve really been enjoying using this serum night and day. First off, it smells really nice, the natural botanicals in it make it pleasant to use. It soaks into the skin quickly and works well under moisturiser and foundation. I wake up with refreshed looking skin and haven’t actually felt the need to wear foundation as much recently. I think my skincare routine with this serum has made a noticeable difference to how my skin looks.

This serum is really effective. The fragrance is not for everyone though and to be fair I didn't love the smell immediately...rather it grew on me. Its very herbal with notes of citrus.

The feel of the serum is really light. Skin feels instantly hydrated due to the Hyaluronic Acid. This product absorbs fast and is non-greasy. Skin is balanced and imperfections are given a workout. Fine lines become minimized and blurred, skin is plumper without too much effort. After sticking to the routine and applying both am and pm, a radical change in skin texture is achieved. My skin is more even in tone and over all pretty radiant. Great result.

Love the packaging. A pump is always easy to distribute and great for travel too!

Freekin love this serum, its so so nice on the skin. Easily absorbed into the skin and just leaves it feeling so incredibly delightful. I found my skin is definitely more glowy since using this and I'm rocking my natural skin more and more.

This serum comes in a very convenient pump bottle and is easy to use.

My first impression was make by the smell of this serum, it smells like concentrate carrots and is very earthy. Luckily the smell doesn't stick around and I cannot smell it on my skin but those first few seconds are disconcerting!

Does this product work? Yes

My skin is looking great, there is visible tightening and my makeup applies a lot smoother afterwards. Do I think its $100 worth of smooth? No. I stopped using the serum for 2 days and the effects were instantly reversed, results appear to only work as long as the serum is applied daily.

This serum is quite light weight and easy to apply. Some serums can be quite thick or sticky which this goes on very nicely. Not really a scent to the serum, which is good as it makes it more natural and not over powering.

The bottle has a pump and is very easy to use. Use twice a day and use a good amount on the neck.

There is no other word for this serum but; perfect. I am a long time keihls lover and gave it up when money got tight but this serum is one I will never part with. It goes on super smooth and is quickly absorbed. My skin has improved so much and fine lines have minimized. I have been getting compliments on how my skil is glowing from many people which is such a good feeling. I will definitely continue to use this serum and recommend it to others.

This product is a game changer. I have always loved serums, and often found myself gravitating to some extremely expensive ones. This one did not disappoint. I found myself using this at night mainly, under moisturiser. In the winter time (or on days where I havent been drinking enough water) I think it would be good under moisturiser for during the day too, it's just a bit too strong at the moment for both given it is summer. I found at first this didn't feel like a very moisturising serum, but after a moment and letting it sink in, i was surprised to find my skin feeling so soft and hydrated. I also found my skin to appear a bit brighter when I was using this constantly.

This is so lovely! The pump bottle is easy to use and disperses a good amount of product for the face and neck.

It's really easily absorbed and leaves no residue. It's so light and although not a runny consistency it's not a heavy oily serum either.

This promises to protect against stressors (I shall have to douse myself before my next MIL visit!) and to correct signs of ageing. I've definitely noticed fine lines looking less, and my skin feeling more plump overall. It makes my skin incredibly soft after use and also it creates a lovely even feel for the next layer of my skin care routine.

I can even use this without following with a moisturiser it's very moisturising and by itself leaves a great base for applying foundation.

I think this is a really super serum, perfect for people who want a basic all-rounder, and also for people who are maybe trying the serum thing for the first time.

I've only recently started using serums in my daily routine so I was quite excited to get my hands on this Kiehl's one!

First off, a pump top! No more trying to count the recommended drops with a dropper! Yay! 1 pump was definitely enough, but I found myself using 2 out of habit. It didn't matter though, it absorbs so fast into your skin and leaves your skin looking fresh and dewy. I was most consistent with using it as part of my nighttime routine. It is recommended that you use it morning and night, but personally I don't like to put too many products on my face in the morning. The odd time that I applied it in the morning, I skipped my moisturiser completely and just wore sunscreen on top. It still gave me the moisture I needed but without me feeling like I was layering on too much. The one thing I thought was a little odd, was the fragrance. For some reason the scent reminds me of the inside of an old First aid kit! So bizarre. It's not over the top or awful, just different from any other scent I've smelt on a skincare product before. I didn't notice any dramic results, reduction of pores/fine lines etc, but it did make me 'feel' like my skin was smoother and more supple to the touch. I can't wait to see if there are any results with more consistent use over time!
