L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Collagen Expert Retightening Care Day Cream

Packagjng was attractive to the eye but the pot itself wasxwhite with gold banding around the lid which looks very boring and plain so didn't like this. The pinkisk coloured cream smells good but was way too greasy when applied to my skin it did cause me to break out initially. I did not notice any change to my skin but thats probably that the trial period wasnt that long. I really did not like this cream and would not recommended or buy again

I like this day cream, I just don't love it. I didn't find it very tightening (but then, I've only been using it for 2 weeks, and they say on the packaging to allow a month to see any 'retightening') but it was very moisturising and left my skin feeling refreshed and hydrated. I have quite dry skin that usually needs a bit of extra TLC so I found this day cream to be great in that respect, I just haven't seen any sign of the retightening results. I'll continue to use it until the jar is empty and re-evaluate whether to purchase another jar at that stage.

As to the packaging, it's the usual pot which is easy opening and very pleasant to look at. The cream itself is quite thick so I warm some up in my hands before I apply and that really helps it to spread nicely. It doesn't seem to pill under makeup and leaves my skin feeling nice and smooth afterwards.

It doesn't have any SPF so you'll need to wear sunscreen over it (no big deal for me as I wear sunscreen every day regardless, but worth mentioning if you don't).

Overall, a nice cream that does a good job of moisturising. If it wasn't for the retightening claim, I'd probably rate it higher but given that I've only been using it for 2 weeks, I can only comment on what I know to be true thus far.

I am a little disappointed in this day cream by my favourite skincare brand L’Oreal. Yes, it is designed for the more mature skin but I find it far too heavy for a day cream. It’s not easy to apply and to be honest I can’t find a lot of difference between this and the night cream consistency wise. It also does not contain a SPF which is an absolute must these days. However, once on it seems to do the job okay and my skin feels hydrated all day.

A while back I bought the eye cream from the L’Oreal Age Perfect Collagen Expert Retightening Care range, and I loved it! Therefore, when it was time to buy a new day cream, I looked at the same skincare range for a face cream. I was pleased to find that the L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Collagen Expert Retightening Care Day Cream also comes in a version that contains SPF30, which for me is a must in summer in New Zealand! I immediately bought the cream, and discovered during the process that The Chemist Warehouse has amazing deals on L’Oreal products, better than our local supermarkets! The packaging is a standard screw top jar that comes inside a cardboard box, which comes with all the usual instructions. The cream has a nice, thick consistency like the eye cream I used before, but just like the eye cream it is not sticky or greasy and absorbs quickly into the skin. The cream has a pale pink-ish colour which I do not find particularly beautiful, but it does not bother me either. There is a faint, pleasant smell to the cream. While I love the fact that the cream comes with SPF30, I cannot say that I have noticed a skin tightening effect. The reason for buying an Age Perfect product was to address my early signs of ageing, and I do not think the product has delivered in this respect. However, the cream is pleasant to use and not too expensive, so it is definitely worth a try to see if it suits other skin types.

I have been using L'Oreal Paris Age Perfect Collagen Expert Retightening Care Day Cream for 7 days now.

I was most surprised to see there was no SPF protection....which amazed me! While Expert Retightening Care combines a daily collagen boost with a Melanin Block complex to tackle pigmentation and fade age spots, it seemed silly to be that it was doing nothing to prevent similar sun damage.

The day cream is thick and luxurious to the touch with a pleasant fragrance. There is a surprising amount in the 50 ml pot. I have found that is absorbs quickly and makes a nice base to a foundation.

It is difficult to see if my wrinkles/laugh lines have really reduced but overall my skin is more hydrated and plumper with a better look to my face all day.

Thi day cream does suit my skin. Fortunately I am not very wrinkled for someone of 70 and this cream certainly goes a long way to tightening the small lines without leaving any residue.. I will keep using it because I have had no adverse side effects at all. We cannot expect miracles though using a good cream like this every day goes a long way to improving and maintaining our complexion as well as we can. It works well under my makeup too which is important for me. I give it a tick and certainly recommend this Day Cream very positively.

This day moisturiser comes in a heavy white pottle and gold lid which is a little old fashioned to my mind and you have to scoop the cream out so would suggest perhaps get a small spatula for hygene purposes. The cream is a peachy colour with a very light scent. It feels quite thick and creamy but does absorb very quickly. It has not got SPF in which is a little disappointing as I feel with any skin care these days it is becoming usual to have some sun protecting in day creams. Overall my skin liked this cream and absorbed quickly and my skin felt very solt and hydrated but I didn't notice any other benefits overall however still a nice basic moisturiser. The cost at just under $40 is realistic and the cream is pleasant so a good standby.

I did like this day cream, It comes in a nice white square container and has no smell. Cream is easy to apply and my skin does feel silky and smooth. I can't really say my skin feels plumper, maybe I haven't been using it long enough. I have an age spot on my cheek and it hasn't become any less noticeable while using this cream. I will continue to use this until I have finished the product and see if I notice any difference.
