Would not purchase this once the bottle is empty. Makes my hair dry and frizzy and does not do me any good. I was hoping it would work wonders on my coloured hair restore back the moisture lost from dyeing it once a month. Pity though as it is really affordable and smells great.

Mmmm, I was a bit ho-hum about this product unfortunately! I colour my hair frequently so it can get a little dry and I guess I just expected more of a nourishing conditioner rather than just a colour protect product. I am not sure I would try this product again.
Tips: Maybe use a colour nourishing mask once a week on top of using this product may boost the shine?
Personally this conditioner did nothing for me it left my ends feeling quite heavy and left a residue even though i had fully rinsed. It does have a lovely fragrance but thats all i could really compliment on this product.
I like this better than other drug store conditioners but I didnt love it. I have coloured red hair so when I wash it with any shampoo and conditioner I loose colour so I didnt notice the colour lock so much but I did find this product very moisturizing and It smells so good!
Tips: Just leave the conditioner in for as long as possible
Ok, am always skeptical about products that state that they can make some amazing claims. Well, my colour is actually lasting! The purple, blue and greens are still quite strong after 3 weeks, slightly pastelled out but nothing like they normally would be. Instead of washing/conditioning my hair in luke warm water to stop the follicles opening and releasing the colour I decided to wash it in normal shower temperature water...and the colour has actually mostly stayed in! Normally you see a whole heap of colour washing down the drain with the warmer water, but this shampoo and conditioner actually do help retain the colour. Now the sheen that is on my hair is awesome too, no more dryness, even the older community has commented on how nice my hair looks (lol, funny coming from the blue rinse crew). Definately will be using again!
Tips: Use dry shampoo in between washes on your roots, this will also help the colour to stay even longer!
I was lucky enough to get picked to trial the L'Oreal Paris Elvive colour protect Shampoo and conditioner. I was really impressed to get given full size bottles to trial. I have used this shampoo and conditioner for the last two weeks so this is my review on them. Opening up the bottles, the first thing you notice is the scent, it smells soooo amazing! The product says that it will seal in colour, protect hair and prolong radiance. I do feel that it does lock in colour, I have noticed that my hair has not faded since using this product. In saying that, I only coloured my hair a week or so ago, so will have to keep using to really see if the product lives up to what it says. I did notice that my hair got oily pretty quickly though, pretty much the next day, so even though my hair fits with the colour protect this shampoo and conditioner might not be suited for oily hair types. I would use this again if I had run out of my normal shampoo as it is an okay shampoo and conditioner.
Tips: Don't use if you have oily hair
This conditioner on first impression had a lovely creamy consistency that I really enjoyed. It felt very nourishing and thick to apply which I quite like in a conditioner as I feel like it's really coating and moisturing my hair. The scent, like the shampoo, wasn't my favourite. I think this could be improved on.
The other reason I would probably think twice about purchasing these is that I quite like more natural beauty products & I feel like that's the direction many consumers are opting for these days. The packaging, while very stylist, doesn't look very 'natural' which could affect consumer's decision to choose this product over a more natural alternative. It would be great to have a product that had all the benefits of this one, but was made from natural ingredients.
Tips: Make sure you really do leave it 5 minutes for the products to really activate and nourish your hair before rinsing.
Love love LOVE this conditioner. Even though Im not a fan of this shampoo, the conditioner redeemed this brand for me. As with the shampoo, a little goes a long way. It is very thick and creamy and leaves your hair very soft, and also a fine film over it ( prob not good for thin hair). My hair feels so soft, even though underneath is fried platinum blonde hair.
Tips: Wash out thoroughly, little goes a long way.
As I said in my matching review, I'm a Pantene girl with an occasional swap to Dove. Generally I'm not fussy about the shampoo I use, but I'm VERY anal about my conditioner!! My hair is down towards my waist, and I go through at least 5x more conditioner than shampoo. First off, I REALLY liked the consistency of the conditioner. Its more like a paste, which means when I apply it to the ends of my hair (where its needed most) it stays there, rather than turning watery and getting washed/dripping away. Thats a BIG win in my book. I didn't mind the smell. As for colour protecting, well my dye didn't come out when I rinsed it all out? If they implying long term colour protection from the sun, then thats a wait and see thing. So far, I'm tied between buying more of this or Pantene when the bottle is gone. So thats a really good thing! I find a new brand of conditioner generally feels fantastic for the first dozen applications, its after that period that you get a true test. As I previously said, this is the first conditioner that will stay on the ends of my hair without dripping off. Usually I end up reapplying several times while I'm waiting for it to cook in the shower lol. I also feel because it is more paste like, that it could be more concentrated?
Im just way more impressed with it than I expected to be. I'm such a conditioner snob that even a lot of the salon stuff doesn't cut it for me. Since I do have such long thick hair, its very important that I have a good conditioner to look after it.
Tips: Take advantage of the paste consistency and make a point of applying directly to the ends of your hair after squeezing excess moisture out. :)
I love the thickness of this conditioner. It soaks into my hair well and leaves it very moisturised. I havent' used it long enough to see how long my colour lasts I don't think. Makes my hair very soft and smells lovely. Doesn't make it oily either like some heavy conditioners.
