This product was easy to apply, I used my hands to apply the shampoo to the lengths of my hair ,it smelt great and was easy to spread through my hair. It was although hard to rinse out. The shampoo and this conditioner seemed to make my hair greasy, and thinker than usual. It also irritated my sensitive scalp.

Tips: No.
I was offered to trial the L'Oreal Paris Elvive Colour Protection Conditioner. It came in a 250ml bottle, and smelt great. At the end of the 2 week trial I still had heaps left so it does last a long time which is always great.
Unfortunately this Conditioner did not work well with my hair. I have oily roots and dry ends which causes a problem if Conditioner's have ingredients that add moisture, and due to the shampoo and conditioner putting a barrier on the hair it made my hair look dirty the next day.
On the plus side The Conditioner did help stop the colour fading. As I put temporary colours in my fringe I wasn't sure it would work on them but I was suprised when the temp colours lasted longer.
Much like the shampoo I would not recommend this product for people with dyed red hair. Color fades fast and leaves the hair dull and lifeless
Personally this conditioner did nothing for me it left my ends feeling quite heavy and left a residue even though i had fully rinsed. It does have a lovely fragrance but thats all i could really compliment on this product.
I’ve waited til the very last minute to submit my review as I really wanted to give both of these products a really good go so ditched my normal shampoo and conditioner and have exclusively been using these products for the last 2 weeks (and still have some left in each bottle).
First off - the shampoo: It comes in a nice, easy to use bottle. I think its designed to sit upright with the lid on the top but as this part is flat I’ve been keeping it upside down so its always ready to use.
I really love the smell of the shampoo. Its an appley/ fruity scent that’s not too overpowering and makes your hair smell good the day after you’ve used it. It lathers up really easily so you don’t need to use too much and it leaves your hair feeling fresh and clean.
The conditioner is where is all goes wrong for me. It doesn’t smell as nice as the shampoo and I found that within a few days my hair was looking oily/ dirty which never happens with my normal shampoo. This meant that I was having to wash my hair every couple of days instead of twice a week so that also meant that I ended up losing more colour that I normally would.
Overall, I think it’s a good backup product and one that I’d buy to take away on holiday when I don’t want to take a giant bottle. I’ve found that you get what you pay for with hair products so for something around the $8 - $10 mark you cant have super high expectations.
Tips: Definitely don't apply to roots if you have oily hair!
I really like to feel the conditioner in my hair and I felt the amount I used didn't quite spread over the hair as much as the shampoo did. I felt like I could have used more to cover the hair. It did make my hair feel soft afterwards so must have done a good job even though it didn't feel like it. I think it did as good a job as the salon brand conditioner that I used in keeping the colour strong in my hair. Nice to know I can buy this at the supermarket with my normal shop and not have to go out of my way to buy shampoo
250ml bottle, has a nicier frangrance than the shampoo, not such a chemical smell, went on well and once again didn't have to use that much as i have short fine hair, for the price ok product, but i prefer my salon brought product, found it easy to rinse out didn't really notice any difference in the fading of my hair colour, would like to see how it works in the summer months as i have a copper colour in my hair that fades quickly.
I enjoyed trialling this conditioner but not a fan.
I followed the conditioner after the L'Oreal Paris ELVIVE Colour Protect Shampoo.
Unfortunately, using both the conditioner with the shampoo still left my hair feeling flat.
I really like the packaging, vibrant red and the conditioner is easy to extract.
I did not like the fragrance and pleased it did not linger in my hair after.
I certainly did not use in *28 washes.
The conditioner did not add moisture or shine to my hair. I left the conditioner in for 2 minutes, 5 minutes and 10 minutes.
I did notice less colour in the rinsing water but may have been because I only had my roots re-done and have waist length, thick hair.
The Good - I loved the packaging of the conditioner, and the smell was pleasant.
The Bad - It was far too thick for me and was very hard to wash out. It weighed down my hair, felt greasy, and left my hair feeling very flat.
Would I buy again? Probably not. The heaviness of the product out weighs any colour protection benefits.
Tips: Put a dollop of shampoo through your hair after conditioning to get all the conditioner out.
Like the ELVIVE Colour Protect Shampoo, the conditioner smells really nice. It has a thick texture that was easy to distribute through the lengths and ends of my hair. My hair is prone to being dry and dull and I was really disappointed that this conditioner weighed it down, didn't do anything to add moisture or shine and it felt greasy the day after washing too. I didn't notice any colour fading, but I needed to use this shampoo & conditioner more often than I'm used to to avoid greasy weighed down hair, which isn't good for coloured hair.
