I had the opportunity to review this conditioner along with the matching shampoo The packaging is nice and bright and the smell was simple but pleasant. I used this shampoo to wash my hair over the last couple of weeks. I was not overly impressed with the way it made my hair feel. It did not seem to feel completely clean and no matter how much I rinsed felt like there was still some residue. It may just be my hair but I ended up using a different product every second wash to bring the shine back as this product seemed to make it feel limp and greasy. Did it do what it says it will? Well I don't think I can fully comment as the trial period was not really long enough and I had nothing to compare it to. It does claim on the bottle 80% of colour preserved after 28 washes - not entirely sure what they mean here as for me personally 28 washes would take about 9-10 weeks and most colours have begun to fade in that time anyway. I want a product that preserves the colour and shine from day one of having it done!

Tips: I would not recommend this if you are prone to greasy, limp hair as it will make it worse. But for the price (this brand is often on special) it is an ok conditioner and shampoo.
As I was so disappointed in the shampoo I was not expecting anything from the conditioner. I don't think it has helped with my hair colour at all but as a regular conditioner it worked fine.
I normally only purchase salon brand hair care so was quite reluctant to try this. I found this conditioner a bit too heavy and rich for my fine hair. Despite only using a small amount I found this weighed my hair down and made it quite limp and lifeless.
I bought this for two reasons. My 1st was that it smelt really nice and secondly, I bought this straight after I got my hair coloured. The Conditioner lasted me for 6-7months, and I stopped using as I got a bad case of dandruff. I really liked how it made my hair smelt and felt. After using this, my hair was left feeling light, soft, easy to manage, however I didnt really see my hair colour staying longer than normal. I bought this for $12.00 from Souls Hairdressing and probably wouldnt use it again. The packaging is what attracted me to the product, very sleek and eye catching.
Ok so I waited til I had dyed my hair fresh to start this review. I always have trouble with red fading, so went for a red ombre. After just over a week of use, I see no difference than using a normal shampoo. The colour is noticeably washing out and fading... I may as well have put a rinse through my hair!! The black in my hair is fine though. I do like the way my hair feels after using the shampoo and conditioner, hence why I would use it again, just not for the purpose its advertised for. This conditioner does make my hair feel really soft and smooth, I really like it!! It just doesnt lock in colour
This conditioner on first impression had a lovely creamy consistency that I really enjoyed. It felt very nourishing and thick to apply which I quite like in a conditioner as I feel like it's really coating and moisturing my hair. The scent, like the shampoo, wasn't my favourite. I think this could be improved on.
The other reason I would probably think twice about purchasing these is that I quite like more natural beauty products & I feel like that's the direction many consumers are opting for these days. The packaging, while very stylist, doesn't look very 'natural' which could affect consumer's decision to choose this product over a more natural alternative. It would be great to have a product that had all the benefits of this one, but was made from natural ingredients.
Tips: Make sure you really do leave it 5 minutes for the products to really activate and nourish your hair before rinsing.
I was lucky enough to get picked to trial the L'Oreal Paris Elvive colour protect Shampoo and conditioner. I was really impressed to get given full size bottles to trial. I have used this shampoo and conditioner for the last two weeks so this is my review on them. Opening up the bottles, the first thing you notice is the scent, it smells soooo amazing! The product says that it will seal in colour, protect hair and prolong radiance. I do feel that it does lock in colour, I have noticed that my hair has not faded since using this product. In saying that, I only coloured my hair a week or so ago, so will have to keep using to really see if the product lives up to what it says. I did notice that my hair got oily pretty quickly though, pretty much the next day, so even though my hair fits with the colour protect this shampoo and conditioner might not be suited for oily hair types. I would use this again if I had run out of my normal shampoo as it is an okay shampoo and conditioner.
Tips: Don't use if you have oily hair
I like this better than other drug store conditioners but I didnt love it. I have coloured red hair so when I wash it with any shampoo and conditioner I loose colour so I didnt notice the colour lock so much but I did find this product very moisturizing and It smells so good!
Tips: Just leave the conditioner in for as long as possible
Mmmm, I was a bit ho-hum about this product unfortunately! I colour my hair frequently so it can get a little dry and I guess I just expected more of a nourishing conditioner rather than just a colour protect product. I am not sure I would try this product again.
Tips: Maybe use a colour nourishing mask once a week on top of using this product may boost the shine?
I got to trial this product and I can't say ill be buying this again! Following the shampoo which i felt didn't clean my hair very well this did leave my hair feeling smooth and silky but post shower it was a ball of tangles and knots! I have very long hair so an important thing for me is the post-shower, because i cant stand standing in front of the mirror trying to brush my hair yet pulling half of it out at the same time! The next time i applied time serum in my hair post-shower and it was easier to brush but sometimes i dont have time for that!
If you have shorter hair and knots etc isnt an issue then this could be a good product for your short coloured hair, as in the shower it does make it feel nice and smooth! although dont use to much because it takes awhile to come out!
Tips: It may protect coloured hair but it doesnt protect your hair after when your brushing it and its full of knots ): (and i brush my hair before i shower)
